Hunter is quizzing Miles on traffic procedures as he's about to take his road test his mother comments that she wished he focused on his actual school work the way he is focused on this. Frankie then walks in saying that she'd be surprised if the dad lets him take it as she tosses him the daily paper. He did that interview with the reporter and to quote Frankie made their dad look 'like a Batman Villain Who Hates His Gay Son'. Daddy Hollingsworth walks in wanting to talk to Miles and the mom ushers out the twins embarrassingly calling them her 'peanuts'. Miles's dad tells him he's not going to school that day and hands him golf clubs...he has a day off and wants to spend a father son day...they can golf...miles can even drive and he accepts him gay...straight...whatever...

14x01 Smells Like Teen Spirit
As promised I've pulled up the season on Youtube and have started to slowly but surely finish up my recap project as I want to be a competitionist damn it!
So all I remember from season 13 is that it was long and draggy and ended on the cliffhanger that our beloved Clare is preggers....
So the episode begins as the school is being evacuated due to a fire (why not...just why not the damn school is freaking cursed) and Miles and others are looking anxiously for Frankie...
HOWEVER we don't know if they find her yet as it flashes back to 10 weeks earlier and Becky is in front of the school which is still recovering from the hurricane damages (cursed I tell you!) handing out flyers for Power Cheer and to parallel the cold opening is also looking for Frankie who she hears is an ace tumbler. Drew comments that the school has a Cheer squad already however according to Becky this is not the same thing as Power Squad but it's an actual competitive sport. Zoe and Tristan show interest however Becky informs Tristan it's girls only. The underclassman head in the school as Alli and Dallas head out... it's the beginning on their final quarter of senior year...FINALLY. Alli is looking for Clare but she's MIA...she and Dallas leave and Drew tells Becky he's sure Clare doesn't care about them (I forgot Drecky were a thing for a moment) Becky however isn't being bummed about Clare knowing about them she's more worried cause Power Cheer is HER fresh start and if Zoe is on the team it will keep her from moving past the fact her brother raped the underclassman. Drew tells her to just not let Zoe join..as President he decrees their last term be awesome just as soon as he finds his VP. His VP AKA
Clare is in the ladies room suffering from a bout of morning sickness when Alli comes in...Alli asks if it's the Flu and Clare says she at a bad breakfast burrito...Alli teases saying is she sure it's not morning sickness and Clare all but admits she's knocked up...and it's most likely Drew's put she's getting an abortion she's already decided and picks up the phone to call the clinic... WHOA...again...a total 180 of her character from the early years.
WHATEVER IT TAKES (still what I affectionately call the power point opening...we get a full song again in Next Class though so there is that...)

12x07/08 Say It Ain’t So—RECAP
Alli’s in the science lab after
school as Dave sneaks in to visit her. He starts making out with her telling
her that his play rehearsal got out early. She tells him how Simpson gave her
after school lab access to do research and not make out. Dave’s got a case of
blue balls though since it’s been five days since the last time they hooked
up…..weather this means it’s been five days since last episode or they were at
it multiple times remains to be seen. They start making out however a small
chemical fire ends up breaking out. Alli kicks Dave out to lessen the trouble
she’ll be in for it.

10x43/44 Drop The World—RECAP
Here we are at the Season FINALLY I mean Finale of season
ten…..yea seems like forever since the season began and just think the school
year is far from over as we’ve still got Spring Break, A SECOND school
election, Prom, Graduation, and FIVE Newbies (well three newbies, one minor
character promoted to main and one new minor that is promoted to main in the
back end of the season) left to come.
Eli runs to the newsstand buying up all the copies of
‘Gothic Times’ before running to school. They published Eli’s story….no not
Eli’s…..THEIRS….their first collaboration. They are a dynamic duet and Eli
wants to hone his dark twisted mind and her flair for the romantic together
lock themselves in a basement and not leave until the manuscript of their first
novel is finished…..tempting….Clare tells him she’s got plans….to go shopping
with Alli for Spring Fling. Eli comments saying she was just published and says
doesn’t she think dances are trivial and droll….she says he doesn’t have to
come.

10x37/38 Jesus Etc RECAP
Eli tells Clare that the submissions for some Gothic Fiction
contest are due soon and he’s suffering from some blockage. Clare comments how
he needs a distraction and he replies like giving driving lessons which is what
he’s doing in the moment as Clare has taken up the driver’s seat of Mortey
while Eli’s in the passenger’s one. She says you can teach me and I can pay you
back without editing. He calls her his muse and then tells her to take care of
his baby. He’s an antique hearse and he doesn’t want Clare or the car to get
hurt…..Clare starts pulling down the road as Fitz shows up besides the car. He’s
been looking for the couple and wants to talk.

10x31/32 Halo—RECAP
And we’re up to the end of the second ‘arch’ of the epic
that is season ten…..
The episode opens as people are dancing on the steps of the
school with ribbons as Holly J is doing a voiceover but is really talking on
the PA. It appears the Power Squad did get reinstated and are selling magical
wishing stars for Charity….. I am thinking it’s something akin to the shamrocks
and the like that MDA and Make a Wish sell at various venues through the year.
Also the power squad is pleased to be hosting a dance….however said dance is
during the day and uniforms must still be worn but hey it’s something. Jenna
comments about it and Sav says it’s the best they could do and Degrassi musicians
get to play and he offers Jenna to duet with him.

10x25/26 Don’t Let Me Get Me—RECAP
Like it was said at the end of the summer finale when the
students come back after Christmas Break they won’t recognize the place which
is true thanks in part to police patrols, metal detectors, oh and the
instatement of school uniforms. Clare comments she looks like Barney The
Dinosaur in her purple polo while Alli comments how she thought she’d be glad
to be back in a uniform…a teasing remark once you remember season eight Clare
wore her catholic school outfit for most of that season. Now I know allot of
fans hated the uniforms which consisted of Kaki bottoms paired with polo’s
color coordinated depending on grades so Yellow for freshman, Purple for Sophomores,
Red for Juniors and Blue for Seniors.
Alli and Clare are playing who is to blame for this Clare
and the whole Eli vs. Fitz war or Alli for her Boiler Room antics. They comment
on the police and metal detectors and wonder if they’ll even be able to think
freely at this new Degrassi.
Drew shows up and Clare comments how Alli didn’t expect he’d
vanish. Alli comments she both missed him and wants to maim him and Drew pulls
her aside asking if she thought of them getting back together. She did and
doing it would be the worst mistake of her life. Drew claims Bianca was the one
whoring herself out and seducing him and he loves her but it’s too little too
late no second chances…one strike he’s out cause he let Bianca treat his body
like his own personal amusement park.
WHATEVER IT TAKES (and there are some slight changes in the
credits. The scene with Holly J and Leia has been removed and in its place is a
scene adding Zane and Owen to the credits and the opening scene with Peter and
Sav with the video camera has been changed and now it’s Sav and Holly J. All other
scenes remain intact until next season when there is a totally new sequence)

10x17/18 Tears Dry In My Own—RECAP
Jenna and Alli are in the girl’s room and Jenna is once
again complaining about her body. Some of the buttons of her shirt apparently
came undone in her stomach region and Alli comments first how the shirt used to
fit and then starts reading from presumably a health book the signs of pregnancy
complete with Alli going to second base on Jenna squeezing her breasts for
tenderness. She asks if Jenna’s been sexually active and safe and how she
should take a test but Jenna can’t be pregnant because she has an audition for
a music completion to go to however Alli can’t come watch cause she has
detention cause she was caught stealing ‘what to expect’ books for Jenna out of
the library so I guess Jenna had the same inklings Alli was having eh….

10x03/4: Breakaway RECAP
It’s it….. it’s here…. The introduction of the most over
rated character in recent seasons who I can’t help but sip the Kool-Aid and
love Eli Goldsworthy….. okay sure he comes at the bitter end of part two and
doesn’t get much major play until a few episodes later but still…..oh and there
is more continuity about the election and Fiona too….
The episode opens as we see Fiona walking the ledge on the
Vanderbilt prep roof as Tinsley AKA the girl Bobby was screwing with says hi to
Declan and comments how he’s heard about the Coynes and how intense they are. Declan
assures her they are normal and she comments that Fiona’s on the roof. His cell
rings and it’s his sister and from the comment he makes saying on the roof
again it seems like it’s not the first time Fiona’s done this. She comments
about how Declan was right about Bobby being no good case not only is he a
player but he’s hurt her in a more physical of nature. Declan asks if she’s
sure it was intentional and asks if he can talk to Bobby. Fiona says she can
handle it herself and he asks her to climb down from the roof.

10x01/02 What a Girl Wants||RECAP
So here we are up to a double digit season number and also a
supersized forty four episode season….yea, you read that right. Though to be
fair technically it’s twenty two two-part episodes and that’s how I’ll be
posting them all….With this season we also get the dropping of the ‘Next
Generation’ subtitle and the intro also of fan
favorites Drew Torres introduced in this episode and Eli
Goldsworthy introduced in the next pair. Also you’ll note the season is more
fast paced and there is allot more character/story arcs happening thought the
season as opposed to one episode then done.
The season opens where the movie left off in New York at the
Coyne penthouse. Its Holly J’s going away party. It’s not really goodbye it’s
see you in a few months when you arrive at Yale. Fiona finally arrives at the
party after her exhale in the Hamptons all renewed and refreshed with a new
boyfriend. Declan just doesn’t trust Bobby…maybe it’s cause he’s Fiona’s first
(and only) real boyfriend or maybe just maybe it’s cause of something else.
WHATEVER IT TAKES---I think it’s the same background vocals
as last season….90% sure of it. The credits are a mix of old and new clips and
faces…it opens with new shots of Peter, Sav, Clare, and newbie Eli. Then it’s
the old Coyne Twin and Leia/Holly J scenes. A new one with new teacher Miss Oh,
Connor and Wesley. The old Chantey/Anya and Jenna/Dave scenes then more new
content with Adam and Bianca (newbies) along with Simpson and KC followed by
newbie Drew, Riley and Alli with the pimp spot...

5x13 Together Forever--recap
Craig and Ellie are
lounging around in the garage and Craig is telling Ellie about what his dream
car would be. Ellie teases him about it and he asks what her dream ride is when
they win at the Northern Sound Showcase. They start getting all flirty with one
another and seriously between you and me I personally see so much more chemistry
between Jake/Stacy (Craig/Ellie) then I did between him and Cassie (Manny) and
Melissa (Ashley) but that’s just one’s opinion. Joey arrives to tell Craig that
Manny’s on the phone. Craig tells Joey to tell her he’s studying and Joey
shakes his head. When he leaves Ellie tells Craig they really should be working
on a History Project though Craig clearly doesn’t have school on the brain just
being a rock star.

5x07/8 Turned Out:-recap
This episode at least the A plot at parts gets a bit dark
and gritty and real so be forewarned.
The episode opens as JT and Liberty are talking to the
guidance counselor. Liberty is six months pregnant and still only Toby and
Danny know about the pregnancy. Liberty is scared to tell her dad and admits
that she wants to carry the baby to term even if abortion were still a viable
option. JT wants to be referred to an adoption agent but right now Liberty
wants to keep the baby.

5x06 I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For--recap
The episode opens as Jimmy and Derek are playing one on one
outside as his dad and the coach of a wheelchair ball team are watching on. He’s
still a bit awkward in his chair however he’s still offered a tryout.

5x05 Weddings Parties Anything--recap
The episode starts with Downtown Sasquatch practicing and
they honestly sound a million times better (are they being dubbed?) they still
think they suck though as they criticize one another until Jimmy’s dad comes to
pick him up. Marco leaves with him and Craig and Ellie are alone. Ellie likes
playing with Craig…..the band. And Craig gives her drumming tips in an awe
moment if you ship Crellie (Craig +Ellie)

5x04 Foolin’-recap
I’d started to watch/recap this before but only got to the
cold open and never saved my draft….anyway so it opens with JT giving Liberty
his keys for a driving lesson even though she hasn’t gotten her learners. She
drives pretty good and JT comments that he wants to celebrate….with condoms. Liberty
isn’t in the mood needing to get into school to judge the people auditioning
for video announcements. JT wonders why since school started Liberty’s been distant.

2x12/13 White Wedding Recap
Simpson is giving an oral exam however he’s distracted
because he’s getting married the following day. Class stops and he’s given a
gift. While they are doing this Manny and Sean talk and he admits to her he
still has feelings for Emma who has taken the day off from school and is back
home freaking out looking for her mom. Christine arrives with a drug store bag
saying she had a headache and went to get aspirin and wants to go upstairs to
take it however Emma in Hyper planner mode ushers her mom back out saying she can
take it in the car. I don’t know…something tells me there is more than aspirin
in the bag….
