Alli’s in the science lab after
school as Dave sneaks in to visit her. He starts making out with her telling
her that his play rehearsal got out early. She tells him how Simpson gave her
after school lab access to do research and not make out. Dave’s got a case of
blue balls though since it’s been five days since the last time they hooked
up…..weather this means it’s been five days since last episode or they were at
it multiple times remains to be seen. They start making out however a small
chemical fire ends up breaking out. Alli kicks Dave out to lessen the trouble
she’ll be in for it.
WHATEVER IT TAKES….
Alli’s pleading with Simpson not
to shut down her research due to the fire….she had an aunt die of breast cancer
and she’s just two or three trials away from creating an early detection
breathalyzer. Simpson’s not shutting it down in fact he sent her research to an
alumnus at MIT who is fascinated and is in town to recruit and wants to meet
up. Alli informs him she’s still just a junior however Simpson tells her with
all her honor and AP classes she’d be able to fast track and graduate in June
if she chooses to.
Mo & Marisol are reading over
university application packets…..once again I just want to rant and say that
January/February of senior year is when you should be receiving acceptance
letters and deciding between prospects not sending in applications….. Like that
should have been done around ‘Not Ready to Make Nice’ or ‘Need You Now’ if this were real life…. Just saying. Jake
comments telling them to have fun because he’s not applying to university.
Katie shows up and Jake comments on her new look and she smiles saying how she
wanted to make a statement that says ‘bastard guys stay the hell away’ she then
comments about him not applying to university. Jake tells her about how he’s
already got a built in job and plans to become partners with his dad so why
waist four years of live accruing student loans. Katie rolls her eyes not at
the plan but at the general idea Jake wants to be a townie as she herself only
plans to apply to schools in California and Hawaii. The two start to banter
with Jake commenting about how she’s basing her higher education on just how
far away she can run. She comments about he’s just throwing away his life by settling
and he comments about her throwing away the presidency as a means of revenge
against her ex. Mo and Marisol see their UST and outright tell them to make out
already. Jake informs Katie how he’s got big plans for the business and how
he’s been researching Eco Friendly Conversions and plans to help the company go
green.
Cam shows up in the café and Maya
waves him to sit with her however the team want him to sit with them telling
him that by sitting with girls it makes him gay….they are just joshing him and
then ask if he wants to watch dance practice with the team. He says he has a Skype
date with his girlfriend from back home.
Alli tells Clare how she can’t
believe this is happening. Clare nods saying if anyone graduated early she
would have thought it would be her. Alli’s nervous about the interview and
Clare asks if it’s cause of that or because she hasn’t told Dave. Speaking of
Dave he shows up and Clare leaves and she tells him all about MIT. He selfishly
hopes she doesn’t get in but knows that if she does it’ll be great even if he
misses her like mad.
Cam isn’t on a Skype date but
instead he’s in the gym shooting goals. Dallas calls him out saying how they
don’t bite and that Campbell should loosen up. He may be the baby of the team
but he’s probably the best player on the team.
Jake’s proposing ideas to Glenn
about another job…..he wants to skip class to help his dad out however Glenn
wants him to go to school. Jake then freaks out because his dad won’t recycle a
can and Glenn calls him a tree hugger. Jake then is all passive aggressive as
he heads to school.
Alli’s giving her presentation to
Simpson and the recruiter. Later that day, Alli’s telling her parents how she
was offered a full ride to MIT for the following school year. Her parents are
both ecstatic for her saying she’s come a long way from the boy crazy girl she
was….ha ha ha ha ha….Her parents leave to go call Sav and other family members
as Alli goes to take her pill…..it’s Wednesday yet she’s only taking Monday’s
pill…..Jenna tells her to just triple up however Alli worries cause she doesn’t
know when she got off by two days and well she slept with Dave unprotected.
The following day, Alli has Clare
meet her in the computer lab saying how she missed pills and ended up having
sex with Dave sometime in the midst of it while she’d been ovulating and so
she’s probably pregnant. Clare asks if Dave has a condom and Alli says she was
on the pill and she and Dave were STI free so she said screw it. Clare suggests
that she takes a test to find out.
Jake’s walking out of the councilor’s
office with a college catalogue as he witnesses Luke toss his soda can in the
trash instead of the recycle bin. Jake makes a comment and Luke takes the can
and throws it on the ground calling Jake once again a Tree Hugger. Jake this
time gets aggressive aggressive and begins to engage in fisticuffs with the
jock landing them both in detention.
Alli gets caught at home skipping
school with the pregnancy test by her mom. She lies saying how she came to pick
up a notebook and mentions how the test isn’t hers. Mrs. Bhandari thinks it’s
Jenna’s and she’s appalled as she’s already had one baby and to now have
potentially another….is she mental.
The hockey players are at the mall
and they are shooting balls of paper. Campbell comments how he used to play
basketball too before the coach made him choose a sport. Dallas is glad that he
picked hockey and then asks why he’s single. He’s the best player on the team
and could have his way with any girl he wanted to. Dallas then challenges
Campbell to pick up Bianca.
Jenna comes home to the Bhandari’s
and is confronted by Mrs. Bhandari about the pregnancy test. She calls Jenna a
floozy and gives her a rule of no friends over and a 9 pm curfew.
The boys are in detention along
with Katie who is still serving her sentence from pep-rally-gate. Luke starts
to flirt with her however she smiles toward Jake and calls him her boyfriend.
Jake rolls his eyes and she tells him how it’s better than having jocks lust
over her. She picks up his catalog and comments how he’d said he wasn’t going
to University and Jake explains he had a plan but his dad sees things
different. Katie then suggests he shows Glenn what he can do. The school has
money set aside for environmental improvements and nobody knows how to spend
it. Jake comments that a shade for the dumpster isn’t all that impressive but
Katie has another idea. She’s been cleaning computers for two weeks and tells
Jake to trust his ‘girlfriend’ before noting the teacher in charge is snoring
and sneaking him out of the room.
Campbell approaches Bianca saying
how they should get out of the mall and go somewhere for some sex. Bianca
promptly spills a drink over Campbell in rejection.
Alli apologizes to Jenna for using
her as a scapegoat and pulls the test out of the trash. Reading the box she
realizes she’s supposed to take it ten days after conception but she can’t wait
five more days to know if she’s with child however she needs to know and she
starts asking Jenna how she felt when she was pregnant and Alli realizes she’s
been sick, irritable and has tender breasts so she must be pregnant right?
Katie brings Jake onto the roof so
they can get a clear view of the campus to brainstorm where they could maybe
build a greenhouse. Jake then gets a brainstorm do build it right there on the
roof.
Alli and Dave are on a date
watching a movie however while Dave wants to make out Alli keeps pushing away.
Dave asks if she’s worried about potentially graduating early but Alli tells
him no, she’s worried she’s pregnant and Dave feels bad cause she said he
didn’t need a condom and comments how he guesses MIT is out as Alli goes to
throw up…TBC
Alli wakes up the next day asking
Jenna if insomnia is a sign of early pregnancy and Jenna mentions how Alli’s
not 100% sure she’s with child and while she can’t pee on a stick for another
four days she can always go to a clinic and get tested apparently. Alli then
comments how she needs to give her acceptance to the recruiter that day as her
mom shows up with a new Sari for Alli to wear for a party they are throwing
tonight in her honor….. Alli then promises Jenna to go to the clinic at lunch.
I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH
Jake and Katie are in the
Principal’s office giving Simpson their proposal to plant an organic vegetable
and Zen garden on the roof. They have the money so it won’t cost the school
much. He’s impressed with the plans and how Jake did them on his own and he
asks if Glenn would be supervising. Jake says yes despite knowing that he won’t
be there.
Mr. Townsend gives Alli her
reading list of grade twelve English books. Dave wants to help but Alli needs
to fend for herself especially if she’s going to fast track while with child.
Dave is shocked….that she’s still fast tracking and Alli comments saying she
THOUGHT he’d be supportive. Dave tells her that his parents would be super
supportive and he suggests she graduates early like planned but to defer from
MIT for a year and spend that time with their newborn living at the Turner home
and come the following fall the three of them can move to Massachusetts
together.
Maya comments how she feels under
dressed as Campbell is all dressed up. They all dress up on game day. Maya
comments how cool it is to have a well-dressed gang. Cam’s boxers show and Mo
teases how he’s got clovers on them and how he must be wearing them for luck
and how he’ll need it. Maya retorts saying how Campbell will totally hat trick
and Cam outbursts saying it’s not of her business.
Clare goes with Alli during lunch
and Alli tells Clare that the blood test will seal her fate. If she’s with
child she’ll stay in Toronto with Dave and if she’s not she’ll fast track and
go to MIT. Clare tells her test or no test she shouldn’t stick around for a guy
and pretty much tells Alli to get an abortion and not pass MIT up….okay so she
really just says you have options and follow your heart but still.
Campbell is psyching himself out
and having a panic attack in the girl’s room. Bianca comes in and asks if she
needs to tell Simpson he’s a pervy stalker. Campbell then has a breakdown and
starts crying in the girl’s room. He’s supposed to be some big shot and yet he
just feels so lost…..Bianca says he’s right he’s going to be a big shot and the
other boys will just amount to being rent a cops and he should suck it up. High
School Sucks and he should surround himself with people who will make it
seemingly suck less.
Katie and Jake are starting out on
the roof and Jake ends up hitting a pipe before the water is turned off and
starts to flood the roof.
Alli meets with the recruiter who
wants her to sign the letter of intent. Alli asks if she can defer however this
is a special project and they could really use her research.
At the party Dave comments how he
can’t believe her parents are throwing it all things considered. Alli tells him
she can’t defer cause it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity and is
contemplating terminating the baby if she is in fact pregnant.
Jake doesn’t know where the shut
off valve is and he swears he knows how he can fix things but they are just
getting worse and worse until Katie tells him to call Glenn. Jake gets
voicemail and suggests they tell Simpson but if they did then he’ll find out
that Glenn wasn’t there from the onset and their project will be scrapped….she
tells him to drive to his dad’s job and drag him back there before there is no
roof to build the garden.
Mrs. Bhandari is complementing
Alli and how beautiful and smart she looks. She comments how she’s only sixteen
and what if she can’t make it on her own. Her mom says how she wore the Sari
that Alli now has at her engagement party and then she got married and had the
kids and got this house but before all that she was a science genius too though
she’s forgotten much of it now and MIT is a great opportunity but it’s her
choice and she’ll support her no matter what path she picks.
Campbell climbs on the team bus
ignoring his teammates and listening to his music.
Alli gives a toast to her guests
at the party where she announces she’s going to MIT and the look on Dave’s face
says he’s pissed.
Glenn is upset that Jake took on a
project too ambitious without any professional supervision and notes how the
roof wouldn’t have been able to stand the garden. Jake comments how he thinks
his dad thinks he’s too dumb but it’s the opposite. Glenn thinks Jake is too
smart for his own good and that’s why he wants him to pursue higher education.
He’s only seventeen and has his whole life ahead of him. Glenn then strikes
Jake a deal…. He’ll help him with the garden project and even let him test out
some of his eco ideas however Jake in turn has to at least apply to
universities to humor him.
Alli comes into a room where Dave
is sitting and Dave tells him that he’s upset that she’s going and again Alli
pretty much tells him she’s young and it’s her body and she doesn’t want to
throw away her future. Dave says it’s not her future she’s throwing away it’s
him by moving away and potentially aborting his son or daughter when he wants
her to stay with him. He tells her to enjoy her stupid party and he walks out
as the clinic calls.
The Ice Hounds are celebrating
their first win of the season all thanks to Campbell. He leaves the teams table
and heads to the bar at Little Miss Steaks to talk with Maya. He’s sorry about
chewing her out in the café earlier that day. His emotions were high and he was
taking it out on her. She teases him that she guesses his clover boxers worked
and blushes showing him her panties had clovers on them too cause she needed
luck with an exam with her cello instructor and she passed. She thanks him for
buying her her cream soda and he asks if she wants to hang out sometime after
school….she says yes and Campbell has a genuine smile as she walks off.
Alli’s in the lab again and Dave
walks in saying he got her text and he’s sorry he flipped at her. She is sorry
too and tells him she signed the papers and its official she’s going to MIT.
Dave does support her he really does. She nods commenting how the next few
months are going to be crazy with her research, her extra class work and the
play….oh and the clinic called….she was having an hysterical pregnancy so the
scare is over. Dave’s glad and he comments how they can go back to being a
normal couple. Alli says while she still cares about him her priorities have to
be on her lab and class work and hope Dave understands and they can be friends…..
