Eli tells Clare that the submissions for some Gothic Fiction
contest are due soon and he’s suffering from some blockage. Clare comments how
he needs a distraction and he replies like giving driving lessons which is what
he’s doing in the moment as Clare has taken up the driver’s seat of Mortey
while Eli’s in the passenger’s one. She says you can teach me and I can pay you
back without editing. He calls her his muse and then tells her to take care of
his baby. He’s an antique hearse and he doesn’t want Clare or the car to get
hurt…..Clare starts pulling down the road as Fitz shows up besides the car. He’s
been looking for the couple and wants to talk.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Sav’s driving Alli to the library to spend her day during
her week of suspension. Sav says it’s better than house arrest and one day the
tables will turn and she’ll be driving him around. He tells her he’ll be back
at five and she says how the past few weeks has been hell and then begins to
obsess over Drew and how big of an asshole and life ruinor he is for hooking up
with that skank Bianca and crushing her fragile little heart. Sav says maybe it
is for the best and she should move on from Drew but seriously…..Alli just
wants to go all Carrie Underwood song on him.
Clare wonders why Fitz is out of juvie already and why does
he want to talk to them…..does he want revenge?
Sav’s playing a riff and Holly J asks if he’s playing the
track for his university submission. He knows it sucks but he needs it to be
perfect cause if he doesn’t get in then he’ll be sucked into going into engineering
which while parentally approved isn’t his path of choice. The song is good but
he could really use a drummer on the track. Holly J comments about how it sucks
that Nick Jonas doesn’t transfer to Degrassi though I’d think Holly J would
have far more ‘hipstery’ tastes then to of been a Jo Bro fan. Later or the next
day Sav makes a PA about auditions for said drummer.
KC’s trying to go into concerned baby daddy mode bringing
Jenna something good to eat for lunch. She comments how her birthing teacher
says that cravings are brought on by nutritional deficiencies and KC comments
how he just thought she liked chicken….and BOOM another meme has been brought
forth into the world (though the Jake/Chicken one is just as if not more prevalent
in fandom) She’s reading out a list of foods that have comparable nutrients to
chicken and KC tells her to chill or she’ll have a heart attack before the
fourth TRI-mester. Jenna informs him ‘Tri’ means three and he’s all crap we
better cram in all the pre-baby fun now and he pulls out his and hers skateboards
saying he’s going to teach her. He just wanted to give her a distraction from
the pre-natal stuff however she needs to focus on it.
Sav is holding his auditions and no one seems to have the
look or sound he’s going for. Drew shows up to audition but Sav tells him it’s
kind of a conflict of interest with Alli and all. He knows it’s complicated but
Drew needs a distraction to move on and Sav does need a drummer…..yea he’s good
and I wish he ended up in a band plot instead of having his talent just used
for Bhandari angst.
Fitz shows up on campus….he needs to talk….to make things
right…to gain Clare’s forgiveness…..he’s found Jesus. Eli pulls up for her next
lesion as Clare is trying to process. She’s sitting in the car and he tells Eli
what Fitz said and Eli says he’s just throwing her a line. Clare doesn’t know…she’s
confused and Manic Eli raises his voice saying he’s trying to be her boyfriend
and to protect her.
Sav asks Alli what she’s typing and she says journaling because
she needs an outlet and she asks why Sav is nervous. Sav brings up his music
submission and how he needed a drummer…..it’s Drew. Alli laughs asking if
Voldermort is playing base. Crap….Sav’s serious. She wonders how her own brother
would betray her like this cause the root of all her problems dates back to
Drew…..um….sweetie….you’re parents saw your file and you were sexting Johnny
and forging parent notes to skip class and get tested for STI’s long before
Drew Torres was a glimmer in the writing staffs eyes. Sav says he’ll asks
someone else and offers her a ride to the library.
Eli wishes Clare good morning and she asks what he’s up to….looking
out for Fitz.
Sav is venting to Holly J about how Drew is the best but it
sucks because he can’t use Drew cause of Alli. Sure there is the metal dude but
he sucks they all do and he can’t use a drum machine for a live demo…..but you
know what Alli doesn’t know won’t hurt her and so he uses a pay phone….yes a
PAY PHONE and dials Drew up saying he’s in.
Jenna and KC are at another lunch and she asks him if he’s
done his homework and she starts quizzing him on baby terms. He’s got the
basics but she needs more. He’s more of a let the game come to you go with the
flow guy.
Clare tells Adam about how Eli is sweet and caring but he’s
also overbearing and protective. Adam tells her even the sweetest and emo-ist
of guys can be total cavemen and this line just gives me so many chills and
unintentional and kind of depressing foreshadowing feels cause Adam was one of the
sweetest guys in-verse and in the Summer Arch of Season 13 the promos touted
him as the ‘sensitive emo guy’ and yet his jealous and dare I say caveman like
tendencies lead to his demise. Clare says when Eli gets all super protective
she feels suffocated. But it’s worth it. Adam comments how Fitz is here….at the
Dot…working and that they should find a new coffee shop. Adam leaves but Clare
decides to stay because she’s too good a person to not hear him out.
Jenna and KC are at their final baby class and the teacher
asks for people to show off diapering. KC volunteers but Jenna says that’s kind
of her job and they race. KC wins and Jenna starts to tear up. She’s going to
be a terrible mom….she just studies and studies and she can’t get things right.
The teacher offers them to sit for her six year old and KC’s like WTF Jenna.
Drew’s playing for Sav and they are making beautiful music.
Sav has to end though because he has to pick Alli up. Bianca shows up and wants
to see their rock star poses. She’s taking pictures when Alli shows up. Sav was
late so she walked from the library to meet him and she’s pissed he’s working
with the enemies.
Clare confronts Fitz about being at the Dot and he says that
Father Greg the juvie chaplain placed him there on work placement. He’s sorry
for what he did at the dance and he never meant to harm Eli only freak him out
and he wants Clare to forgive him. She does as it’s in her nature. Fitz says he
needs to make amends with Eli too for closure and wants Clare to help him. As
they talk Eli pulls up toward the Dot with hell in his eyes as he barges in
pushing Fitz away saying to stay the hell away from his girl. Fitz works there
he’s not stalking her and he just wants to say sorry. Eli has nothing to say to
him and wants Clare to go with him.
Alli and Sav are clearing the table as the parents are
heading to the theater. Sav says that he meant to never let her find out about
Drew. Alli says Sav always gets his way and her life sucks cause of Drew…..do
you want some cheese with that wine Alli….But seriously….Sav brings up what I
said earlier about her issues happening long before Drew back with Johnny and
her double life. Ever since she came to Degrassi she’s made Sav’s life hell and
he calls her stupid and selfish. She says he was the one person she could count
on and storms out…..TBC
The next day Sav’s having his cereal when his parents ask
where Alli is. Sav says she’s probably in her room pouting. Mrs. Bhandari says
she’s being suspended and sleeping in is unacceptable and goes to get her as
Sav tells their dad about the fight about hiring someone she didn’t approve of
as his drummer. The dad asks why Alli hates him and the mom shows up saying she’s
not in her room and the bed is all made up. If she was in trouble before it’s
tenfold now.
I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH
Clare peers into an empty class where Eli is sitting
brooding. She comes in saying about last night she knows he was upset she
talked to Fitz and she’s sorry for it then asks if he likes her edits on ‘Stalker
Angel’ which I still wish Epitome released as an EBook or supplemental PDF
download. She’s freaking out she added too much but it’s amazing and brilliant.
They don’t want anything to come between them and promise one another to never
fight again…..yea….let’s just say that after the season finale they are apart
for no more than 45 episodes and there is still another break up after that not
to mention the promos for the upcoming block where Clare’s lips are on a guy
that’s not Eli……just saying.
Holly J comments how they are only halfway through Senior
Year and she can’t believe the homework still being piled on them. She’s tired
and needs a break and yes her fatigue is another bit of foreshadowing for an
upcoming plotline that even carries over in a major way into season eleven….but
getting ahead of myself. She mentions how Heather says Daytona is the perfect spring
break spot….tons of girls….on a beach….maybe she’ll even become a Lesbian….she’s
still not getting Sav’s attention and when he snaps to it he apologizes saying
he’s been distracted with ‘The Days Of Alli’s Life’ you know his own personal
Soap Opera. Simpson then says his mom
called and he needs to come home it’s urgent.
Clare’s reading her e-mails and sees a bunch of emails from
Fitz of various bible passages saying how he’s sorry and wishes Eli would
forgive him.
Mrs. Bhandari says nobody has heard from Alli and she took a
bag with some essentials from her bedroom. Sav says she’s just a drama queen
and is probably riling them up and will be back by nightfall. Mrs. Bhandari
says she’s the mother she has to worry and Sav says how she called the police
what more can they do? She has an idea and has Sav try to hack into Alli’s
emails for clues.
Clare comes to the Dot asking Fitz what his deal is. Fitz is
concerned about her and Eli and she says how it’s not his place to be concerned
and why was he messaging her at 3AM anyways. He says he was in an internet café
because they are open all night and he needed a place to stay since he can’t
stay at home because his home life sucks. Clare asks about Father Greg but
there is only so much he can apparently do.
KC and Jenna….yea remember that C plot that is only just now
being mentioned again….well they are watching Caleb the teachers son who has a
few rules…no running, playing in the sun or toys made from synthetic materials
but other than that have fun…..yea….good luck with that. He’s conversationally
selective….NEVER use the word Shy…..
Sav cracks Alli’s password and says the last thing she did
was write in her journal and he reads out her entry saying how it would be
better off for her family if she was gone. Mrs. Bhandari calls her husband to
come home.
Jenna’s singing a song she wrote for Caleb who interrupts Jenna
demanding that they go to the zoo. KC
says it’s not on the agenda and Caleb kicks him. Jenna says it’s not nice and
he starts throwing a tantrum. She offers him organic fruit snacks but he
continues to flip out as the sky opens up and it starts to storm. KC says kids
love hot dogs and Jenna says his mom would hate him for eating processed foods however
Caleb really wants one.
Clare’s on the phone with Eli talking about the storm and
how it’d be great inspiration for his horror story when her doorbell rings and
Fitz is standing on her porch in the lightning storm. He’s got no place to go
and Clare hangs up from Eli to let him in. He fell off his bike cause of the
rain and he just wants to stay till it passes. She says her mom’s not home and
won’t approve but considering the circumstance….she then offers to toss his
hoodie in the dryer and when he pulls it up his undershirt pulls and she sees bruise
marks on his torso….it was a bad fall. He asks if he can watch TV and he takes
the remote and asks if there is anything to eat.
As the storm rages Mr. Bhandari is riding the streets with
Sav looking for Alli. He says when Alli’s found she’s going to be sorry she
thought to run. Sav can’t believe they are going to yell at her and says they
should try talking it out instead and actually listen to what she has to say.
The storm stopped and Fitz says as soon as his things dry he’ll
go. Clare wants to know what REALLY happened….the truth. His step-brother has
been a jerk since he got out of juvie and his parents don’t care. Fitz wants to
get through to his brother to help him find the light like him. The dryer
buzzes and Clare turns to get his hoodie and Fitz says that Eli’s a lucky guy
to be with such and amazing girl like her.
The teacher comes and KC and Jenna say to keep the hot dog a
secret however when she asks how the day went he says he ate a hot dog. She
says she doubt they are organic and she doesn’t like her son ingesting poisons
and to not bend to a kids whim and give them everything they ask. The teacher
and Caleb walk away and they laugh at how psycho she was and think they’ll be
great.
Clare asks Fitz if he’s got everything that he needs and he
says one more thing. When he was in juvie he had one thought he kept going to
that kept him sane….Clare. HA everyone was right….finding god….wanting to make
amends….it was all just a line. He says it’s not a line….but he does like her.
He may like her but she likes Eli. Fitz says Eli’s all wrong for her and they
have a spiritual connection. Eli knocks on the door as Clare ushers Fitz out
the back however Eli lets himself in before Fitz can go and he doesn’t like
what they see.
Sav and his dad’s search was fruitless and Alli is still
missing. There is no clue where she is and Mr. Bhandari breaks down. He says he
loves both kids but it’s hard to be a parent and one day Sav will know just how
hard it is.
Clare tells Eli that Fitz showed up all beaten up in the
rain. He’s having problems at home and anyone with a heart helps people in
need. Eli asks what he is then a heartless monster. He runs out and Fitz
comments he and Clare have a bond. Clare tells Fitz to call father Greg she
needs to fix things. The Father comes for Fitz and Clare walks to where Eli is
brooding in Mortey. She knows he’s mad but she wants to explain. She’s sorry
she called him heartless and he says he deserves it. He just doesn’t want to lose
her. He feels like the floor is falling out from under him and he doesn’t want
to lose her and asks her to promise not to leave him….promise.
Mr. Bhandari hasn’t slept and wants to do another search. A
cop shows up who is working the case. She hasn’t found Alli but the owner of a
tea shop by the school caught surveillance footage of Alli walking into some
mysterious car. They wonder if she’s been kidnapped.
