11x36/37 Not Ready To Make Nice—RECAP

Without spoilering Clare’s plot in this episode from the on-set when this episode was in production and behind the scenes twit pics began to surface I was really starting to think that Clare’s plot would have been something else….something that the show hadn’t and still hasn’t tackled before but I really wish it would cause it would be an interesting plot. Anyway at least part two is a Ramona Episode which means it’s bound to be good.

Jake is commenting to Clare at breakfast how they should really coordinate their schedules as to who is running late on which day so they can continue their pattern of avoiding one another cause it’s clear that they aren’t trying to work on the whole sibling thing. Jake comments how Clare is always locked in her room all reclusive and she comments how hard it is now living with two strange men especially when one said man is her ex. She comments about an empty milk carton in the fridge as Glenn steps into the room apologizing that it’s a bad habit and wishing his son a Happy Birthday. Helen didn’t know it was his birthday and we find out he’s only turning 17 yet the last crop of seniors were all turning 18 in their senior year though then again their Birthdays all happened in the latter end of the school year so Jake being the baby of his class would make sense especially if like in parts of the US, Canada had cut off dates for Kindergarten registration. Anyway Glenn asks if Jake plans to invite his ‘new girl’ to dinner causing Clare to roll her eyes as this is the first she’s hearing about it. Jake tells him they are just friends but she’s welcomed all the same.

10x17/18 Tears Dry In My Own—RECAP

Jenna and Alli are in the girl’s room and Jenna is once again complaining about her body. Some of the buttons of her shirt apparently came undone in her stomach region and Alli comments first how the shirt used to fit and then starts reading from presumably a health book the signs of pregnancy complete with Alli going to second base on Jenna squeezing her breasts for tenderness. She asks if Jenna’s been sexually active and safe and how she should take a test but Jenna can’t be pregnant because she has an audition for a music completion to go to however Alli can’t come watch cause she has detention cause she was caught stealing ‘what to expect’ books for Jenna out of the library so I guess Jenna had the same inklings Alli was having eh….

10x13/14 You Don’t Know My Name—RECAP

Drew propositions Alli in the hall asking for her to walk him to class. She comments that if he keeps this up people are going to think they are a couple. Drew says they aren’t a couple cause labels are pointless and they are different and you can’t break up something that isn’t there. Alli asks if they are friends with benefits and Drew says well if you have to label us then…..we’re going to be late for class.

6x05/6 Eyes Without A Face--recap

I’m so glad I’m FINALLY up to this episode not so much cause of its content but this is the first appearance of any of the current season thirteen student cast members as we spot Clare Edwards who would be in grade eight unless she is younger here and was later SORASed to be a freshman in season eight (note this season and next are the same school year)

Speaking of the episode opens with Darcy and Spinner making out in the car as Spinner is dropping Darcy off. They are worried that her parents or worse Clare. Spinner comments how both sisters are saints. Darcy tells him Clare’s the saint (oh if only she knew how just a few years later Clare would be having Skype sex with her boyfriend….yea). Cut to Darcy being on her ‘MyRoom’ page and Baby!Clare asking her why she is addicted to her stupid blog that no one reads. The sisters have a sisterly moment where Darcy tells Clare she does have readers and Clare comments that it’s nice to know she has friends even if they are invisible.

1x01/02 Mother And Child Reunion --Recap

The series premiere and the sole two part episode of season one. Before I begin I want to make note about the quality of the season. It’s not as Hi def as later seasons go yet it’s still much better than the season 13 promos that look like they were filmed on IPhones but I digress.


Another thing of note this episode as being the bridge between the original series the brunt of the plot is about the adults. It’s their ten year High School reunion which is the center plot of this episode. The main three adults of note you meet or re-meet if you’re a better fan then me and have seen the original series are:

Christine ‘Spike’ Nelson- Emma’s mother who had her at sixteen

Archie ‘Snake’ Simpson- The constant of the series who was there for the original and is still with us today now as school Principal and one of the Directors of the show.

Joey Jeremiah- A used car salesman and recent widower who has a daughter Angie who is about to start Kindergarten. Angie is played by Alex Steele sister of Cassie who plays Manny. Alex recurs as Angie for the first three or four seasons before coming back as Tori in seasons 11 and 12. Hey I mean Roger Howarth can go from playing his One Life Alter Todd on General Hospital to playing Franco (who was an expy of James Franco the A lister who originated the role) while still playing Todd on pre-taped episodes of One Life 2.0 then it’s not that crazy with Alex right?
