5x13 Together Forever--recap

 Craig and Ellie are lounging around in the garage and Craig is telling Ellie about what his dream car would be. Ellie teases him about it and he asks what her dream ride is when they win at the Northern Sound Showcase. They start getting all flirty with one another and seriously between you and me I personally see so much more chemistry between Jake/Stacy (Craig/Ellie) then I did between him and Cassie (Manny) and Melissa (Ashley) but that’s just one’s opinion. Joey arrives to tell Craig that Manny’s on the phone. Craig tells Joey to tell her he’s studying and Joey shakes his head. When he leaves Ellie tells Craig they really should be working on a History Project though Craig clearly doesn’t have school on the brain just being a rock star.

WHATEVER IT TAKES

Craig is giving his History Report for Mr. P and he’s sucking….Ellie tries to caught prompt him.

Liberty and Toby are supposed to represent the school at some big assembly. Toby asks how she’s getting there and suggests JT drives her. She’s not talking to JT and Toby tells her he hates being in the middle and asks about the baby. Liberty tells him to take it easy. Toby offers to step in as much as he can since he’s her vice. He then relays to JT what’s been said with Liberty.

Craig’s failed History for I assume the semester or quarter but Craig doesn’t care….he’s not going to school he wants to be a star. The other members of the band however want to go to school. Spinner approaches with a CD of the band that is their competition and wishes them luck.

Downtown Sasquatch performs at the showcase sounding their best yet. The other band performs and Manny comments to the band that the other group was good though their ties make her want to strangle them. A producer comes up to them saying that the other bands sounds been done to death but he sees something in Downtown Sasquatch’s roughness and wants to manage them. Craig walks in on Joey and his girlfriend watching Dancing With The Stars to tell him the good news…Joey has news as well…he has a letter for Craig from University of Toronto. Craig got early acceptance and a full scholarship. Manny congratulates him saying summer with the band and a free ride to school he’s set for life however Craig doesn’t want to commit before he meets with the manager cause his future and passion is the music.

The band has a photo-shoot however it’s clear that it’s Craig he wants not the band. He calls Ellie a ‘chick on sticks’ who can sell herself from the back and pushes Craig far in front.

A few days later they meet with Leo who tells them the sound showcase has invited them back to perform and that if they are liked they’ll head to Vancouver. The boys question what about school however Craig is all gung ho and wants to polish things especially Ellie as her fuming is being criticized. He is giving her a private lesion as Manny arrives. She calls him out saying the band is all he cares about and by the band he means Ellie.

Miss H tells Liberty she’s concerned about her. Between the pregnancy and school she seems stressed and that it would be in her best interest to have Toby go alone. Liberty asks if she’s ashamed to let a pregnant student represent things and she says no it’s just Liberty’s health and well-being are important. She asks Toby if he said to the principal.

They have another rehearsal with the manager and once again he tells them that the drummer can’t keep time and he pretty much kicks Ellie out of the band saying Toronto has plenty of other drummers. Craig replies they have other singers too.

Liberty yells at Toby for talking to Miss H telling him it doesn’t matter, she’s going to the assembly at Carson Hill and he’s not stopping her. They drive to the school and the car breaks down. Toby tells her he didn’t tell the Principal he told JT who told the Principal and as they fight her water breaks in his Bubbie’s car….she’s going into labor. Apologizing to Toby and ambulance picks her up and takes her to the hospital.

Craig is working on music and Ellie comes over. Ellie tells him he should go solo and that he shouldn’t throw his career away because of her bad drumming. She wants him to go to the showcase by his own and gives him a pep talk.

Craig does go to the show and as he comes on stage we get a montage….Liberty had her child and Toby tells her that her parents are talking to the adoption councilor….we then get a flash forward to most likely the following day as Craig is hugging everyone goodbye and riding in the car to the airport to head to Vancouver to record.
