10x31/32 Halo—RECAP

And we’re up to the end of the second ‘arch’ of the epic that is season ten…..

The episode opens as people are dancing on the steps of the school with ribbons as Holly J is doing a voiceover but is really talking on the PA. It appears the Power Squad did get reinstated and are selling magical wishing stars for Charity….. I am thinking it’s something akin to the shamrocks and the like that MDA and Make a Wish sell at various venues through the year. Also the power squad is pleased to be hosting a dance….however said dance is during the day and uniforms must still be worn but hey it’s something. Jenna comments about it and Sav says it’s the best they could do and Degrassi musicians get to play and he offers Jenna to duet with him.

WHATEVER IT TAKES

Jenna’s talking toward Sav about how she used to date the hottest guy and be on a national TV show but now she’s suffering from prenatal cramps. She complains how Kyle can’t be at her birthing class and Sav asks what about KC. Jenna shakes her head and Sav comments he’s going to be a great dad however KC is messing around in the hall with Drew they end up hitting a freshman named Jess with a football. KC and Drew make a bet that whoever gets a star from her first gets to have her.

Adam comes to Eli and Clare and he starts to talk to them about Fiona. They ask if she knows yet about him being trans* and he pretty much says not yet.

Anya is looking over at her locker and sees stars. She spots Wesley looking longingly at her and she thanks him for sending them to her. She wishes that her History test was canceled and that her uniform pants didn’t chafe. Wesley asks her on a date and she forgot she owed him one. She asks if he wants coffee afterschool and he says he’s been saving up for something special.

KC tells Jenna hey and asks how she’s doing….you know with the whole baby thing. She asks how he’s doing and he says he’s doing good.

The squad is handing out more stars and Jenna gets one. She looks at KC and smiles thinking it’s from him.

Fiona looks at her cache of stars and lets out a sigh telling Adam what’s the point of a dance if she can’t get a new dress and if she were in New York right now she’d be prepping for the East Village Artist Ball…..it’s the gala event of the season and the best part is the champagne fountains flowing freely.

KC’s sitting with Jess, Drew and a bunch of randoms and Jenna asks to sit with them. She thanks KC for the star and asks him to go to her first class with her. He says yes and she admits that she was scared he’d say no since he didn’t want the baby. She tells him she’ll meet in the music room after school. When she leaves Drew being the insightful little bugger that he is comments to KC saying he didn’t send it now did he. Nope he did not but if he didn’t who did?

Wesley is having a wet dream/fantasy about Anya. He’s seeing them at Little Miss Steaks but she’s in a bikini seductively eating strawberries. He wakes up from his daydream in the MI lab with an erection.

KC is twenty minutes late and Sav says perhaps he lost track of time and she comments why he’d send her a star if he planned to ditch her. Sav admits he sent it to Jenna cause she could use some cheering up and Jenna becomes an emotional pregnant mess. Sav agrees to be her partner for the class. In the class while the partners are bathing dolls Jenna talks to another mom to be there with a friend who isn’t her baby daddy either and says sometimes you can’t fight fate…..ruh roh….looks like Blondie may be going back to her boyfriend stealing ways and dating up this time to boot.

Drew shows KC the star that Jess gave him the next day but KC’s not playing their games. He can’t help thinking of Jenna and while he blew off the class he still wants to be with her the only problem is this means he’s stuck being a dad which he doesn’t want. Drew gives the sage advice that KC needs a time machine and a box of condoms to make things right before laughing at himself.

Wesley tells Dave and Connor how he had a wet dream in class. He’s worried what will happen if he actually goes out with Anya if just daydreams are causing him to prematurely evacuate. This may be his only hope at a real date and he doesn’t want to blow it….literally.

Jenna’s helping Holly J set the gym up and asks what her honest thoughts on Sav are. Holly J says he’s a dork….in the best way possible. Jenna asks what happened with Anya when she got pregnant and Holly J is all what….yea that happened. Jenna comments how he must have been devastated about the miscarriage and says Sav would make a great dad.

At the dance Sav and Jenna sing a duet as they sing it cuts to Wesley searching for sexual aids for his date with Anya. Sav tells Jenna the dance was lame but it was worth it singing. They talk about collaborating and Jenna kisses him. That wasn’t the kind of collaboration Sav had in mind. Holly J calls him to take down the ticket table and he leaves.

Adam, Clare, and Eli head to some abandoned church during free period. Adam asks how the two of them found the place and Clare comments they stumbled upon it when they were on an ‘Urban Adventure’ and by that Eli says that is where he deflowered Clare…..no….you deflower Clare after your senior prom in a hotel room….cliché but true. Clare comments that they had a picnic and made out but that was all. Adam comments that this would be a perfect place to throw Fiona the New York style party that she’d been missing and it could also be kind of like an anti-crackdown party. BYOC (Bring Your Own Crush) It’s also the first mention of twinkly lights and yes that is so getting a tag of it’s on…..cause YOLO (yes I can’t believe I just said that either) Clare is all awe.

Jenna’s cleaning the gym singing and Holly J comments how she’s happy. Jenna says how she’s falling for someone and when Holly J asks who Jenna says Sav. Holly J says that she’s with Sav and Jenna comments that getting rid of girlfriends is kind of her MO and Holly J tells her that’s great sweetie but Sav will never fall for her shtick but Jenna assures her he already has….TBC

It’s the last chance to send stars and Jenna is talking to Chantey about her crush on Sav and how Holly J is being a witch. Chantey didn’t even know SavyJ (Sav +Holly J) were a thing and she’s the Dan Humphrey of Degrassi (Gossip Girl…..get it…..no….moving on) The girls then get handed invites to the secret party….KC approaches saying he wants to go to the next class. Jenna says too little too late Sav’s going. He may not be the bio dad but he’s done more in a day then KC’s done like ever.

I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH

Four Episodes into the crackdown….eight if you count each ‘part’ as a separate entity and it’s announced via the PA cells are now allowed to be used during lunch hour. Adam gives Fiona an invite and asks if she’s going to go cause you know the god damn party is for her and all. She says she’d never give up a chance to wear coture….that sounds like a yes there eh? She asks where to RSVP and he says with him and admits that he’s throwing it for her after hearing she’s missing out on her party.

Wesley plans to take Anya to the secret party…..and also he’s got supplements to regulate his penis.

Sav got Jenna’s text and he meets her saying they need to talk. Jenna knows all about Holly J and Jenna told her they are going to be together. Sav says he’s not into her and Jenna has another hormonal melt down asking why he wanted to sing with her and get her a wishing star and go to the baby class and say they had a strong connection…..and he KISSED HER……Sav tells her to take a breath and count to ten and she tells him he’s so nice and she’s such an idiot. Sav wants to know what she said to Holly J.

Wesley got a limo for Anya. Anya’s like WOW cause the last time she was in a limo….yea. Wesley says the agenda is dinner and the secret party.

Sav is telling Holly J all about Jenna’s crush and how they kissed. Holly J says he’s a good person not like her and mentions how she and Declan had sex. It was a mistake and she feels guilty. Sav says if she did it regardless she must still have feelings for him.

Eli, Clare, and Adam are setting up the party.

Jenna sees Sav on the steps moping and she asks what happened with Holly J. He says they broke up they were just casual but it hurts. Jenna asks what she can do to fix it cause the two of them should be together. Sav says that she’s done enough.

Anya comes out of the bathroom changed out of her uniform. Wesley has ordered appetizers and as Anya is eating a cheese stick Wesley evacuates. He accidently knocks a cup of water on Anya and she goes to dry.

KC tries to catch a bus but he misses it and so did Jenna who is crying. He asks if it was cause of his hormonal changes and if Sav makes her happy who is he to stop them. Jenna says Sav loves Holly J and she tried to break them up and she’s a terrible person. KC tells her he’s made a mistake. He wasn’t proud with how he acted when he found out about the baby but he loves her and is going to help her set it right with Sav and Holly J.

Dinner’s over and Anya asks if Wesley is ready to go to the party however he hasn’t come down yet if you know what I mean. He admits he slipped himself a supplement and now he’s hard as a rock.

Jenna comes to the steakhouse telling Holly J Sav told her he loves her and Sav’s DJing at the party. Holly J says she has to work and Jenna tells her boss that she needs to go and the boss says if your done with your last table go. KC, Jenna, and Holly J hijack the limo and they plan to drop Wesley and Anya at the hospital before heading to the party.

Wesley thanks Anya for staying with her as Dr. Kris passes them asking how her mom is doing. Wesley says he seems nice and Anya says he’s her mom’s doctor and she’s got a thing for him. He didn’t think…..she shakes her head saying he’s going to make one girl really lucky someday and she kisses his cheek. When Anya walks off to get them coffees from the café Wesley asks a nurse if he can talk to Doctor Kris.

At the party Fiona is MIA. KC runs to Sav saying Jenna’s in the limo and is having the baby and he needs to help her cause he went to birthing class. Sav goes in the Limo and Jenna hops out leaving Sav and Holly J to talk it out.

Doctor Kris tells Anya that Wesley was released but not before telling him how he should stay past his shift and have coffee with her. Wesley shows up at the party telling Dave the date went great and Anya kissed him.

Fiona isn’t picking up Adam’s calls and he wants to go try to find her.

Holly J and Sav are talking out their issues. When she was with Declan she was living some fairytale but when she’s with Sav it’s real….no pressures. They reconcile.

Eli and Clare are lying under the stars in a hammock and Eli tells her to make a wish. She doesn’t want to say it out loud cause it won’t come true. Eli says as cheesy as it is his wish already has.

Adam is in front of Fiona’s condo and she’s MIA.

KC and Jenna share a dance and hope their story ends with a happily ever after….
