I’m really starting to feel like each episode as of late
just has so much going on for it in a 30 minute period. I get that teens have
short attention spans in this day in age however it just feels all over the
place…..sure despite the episodes not being titled part one/part two the plots
seem to flow over for two episodes at a time but still…..I think things would
work much better if it went to an A/B format instead of ABC…..
Anyway my initial thoughts/comments on the plots
I’m going to assume Clare was A Miles/Tristan was B and Imogen
was C and so with that in mind….
Clare…. Has the cancer spread to her brain or is the stress
getting the better of her. She’s forgetting assignments, using the wrong
wording, and putting out a libelous article about Zoe out in a national magazine.
I think the latter alone is going to kill her chances at getting into Columbia that
is if her grades don’t get the better of her first. Also Clare’s wardrobe this
season is just awful at best. Sidenote I
can’t wait to see Clare’s reaction when she finds out Lenore is not just a
friend and classmate but she’s also Eli’s ROOMATE…….speaking of when is Dorm
Life Episode 2 scheduled to come out?
Also I want to point out in relation to Clare’s plot that
Alli for the first time this season I didn’t want to punch in the face proving
she’s much better as a satellite character then being in the center of another
tragic love story.
And a third point from this plot… Clew yea total Bro-T-P
Tristan---- He just wants to have a best friend….however
giggles McGee…I mean Maya says he has one. Tristan clarifies saying he wants a
guy one and he’s happy that Miles invited him over…..truth is he invited all
the grade tens at least those that matter plus a few random extras over to his
house for a party and besides Winston is Miles’s BFF. Well Miles and Tristan
make it onto the basketball team however only the Seniors are starters and
Miles is bummed cause it’s just one more thing to disappoint his dad and all he
needs is an edge and by edge he means steroids. Tristan ends up getting the hook
up but not from resident dealer Zig who isn’t even in the episode cause he’s so
disjoined from the other tenners that I feel he’s going to be phased into the
black hole of no return one day….anyway back to the drugs he gets them apparently
from Owen who I would think knows better since remember he pretty much
shunned/dumped Anya cause of her drug use back in 11A.
Imogen--- She wants to have a TV Production/News/Broadcast I
really couldn’t figure that part out club and gets it green lit cause it won’t
cost student council which is apparently in the red financially any money
thanks to a media grant…..however Drew stipulates Imogen must have a partner to
run it….she agrees and makes Drew sit through the interviews and ends up
picking Winston….sure he was horrible in his interview but there was no way she
was going to pick Becky. Sure she was the best person bar none but she’s too perky
and her audition about texting and driving….yea….big reminder that she was
screwing around (making out) with Becky’s boyfriend before he died. I have a feeling Becky and Imogen will end up
getting close though and weather Becky switches teams or they just become a
Bro-T-P as well I can’t wait to see more interactions between them.
