First of all I love after last weeks’ time change that they had to
advert that this episode was airing at its ‘regular time’
Anyways, it looks like after last episode Miles and Maya’s
relationship status is back together as he’s carrying her over his shoulder
down the halls besides a huge ass poster promoting a Sweethearts Semi-Formal.
Maya needs to work on her rubber room essay cause she doesn’t want to spend any
more time there then the daily visits first and last period if she can help it.
They are kissing as Tristan says he really doesn’t want to watch them make out.
Maya goes into her bag and realizes her laptop is missing, most likely stolen.
Tristan says it must be Zig while Maya goes to ask for an extension.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Clare and Alli walk into the science room as Jenna is writing and
quickly hides a paper. Alli confiscates it and it’s a list of reasons why she
and Connor should be king and queen of the formal after all Clare and Eli won
Prom king and queen the year before so it’s not too crazy. Alli says Eli fixed
the votes and Clare says it’s a popularity contest. Alli and Clare both point
out Conner is a nerd.
Maya is denied an extension and Zig is teasing her for not having
her homework. Maya is now sure that he took her laptop.
Becky asks Imogen are talking about the dance and shopping and
Becky thanks the other girl for being there through the whole Luke thing. She’s
so glad they have each other however Imogen’s attention is quickly diverted by
new girl Jack who joins their group in class.
Maya is following Zig in hopes to catch him in his bad boy thief
act. Miles asks what she’s up to and she admits she’s staking Zig out and he offers
to do it with her to keep her safe.
Imogen and Jack are talking about artsy and indie stuff however
Becky is out of it. It’s reveled Jack is a lesbian which only makes Imogen more
fascinated. Jack asks if Imogen wants to go to a gallery however after Becky
points out they were going shopping for the semi-formal Imogen instead invites
Jack to join them.
Jenna wants to change up Conner’s image to make him more cool (AKA
letting AJ look more like he does out of character when he’s in character) by
dressing him up in t-shirts and skinny jeans. She says she wants them to look
like a couple and tells him to think of it as a social experiment.
Maya is following Zig along with Miles and they watch him sneaking
into an abandoned house. Zig is possibly squatting and soon Maya tells Miles to
go home and she knocks on said houses door to confront Zig. She just wants to
know about the laptop and why he’s in the house to begin with.
The following day, Zoe and Tristan are selling rose-a-grams while
Maya is ranting about Zig causing Miles to be pissed that she went back to see
him. Maya blames herself for blowing him off all summer and thinks her ignoring
him is part of what caused his downward spiral. Miles, Tristan and Zoe think
Maya is delusional however she plans to talk to the teacher about Zig.
Becky walks into the council room where Drew is secretly eating the
candy hearts stash for the dance (which the more my brain moving I’m thinking
this is a valentines dance) Becky comments about how Drew lived with Fiona and
wants to know if she and Imogen had other friends or kept to themselves. Drew
says that it was mostly just them which makes Becky pout thinking that Jack is going
to start dating Imogen and she’s going to be cut out of the group. Drew says
she should talk to Imogen about it and lock down their friendship.
Maya tells the teacher about Zig and wonders why he’s homeless
saying he should of asked for help. She says how her friends say she should mind
her own business but she can’t, the teacher says she’ll take care of things.
Jenna is trying to put contacts in Connor’s eyes for their nominee
photo however Connor is suddenly not buying this whole ‘social experiment’
crap. Jenna admits she doesn’t want people to see them as a nerdy couple.
Connor then asks is it ‘people’ or just her.
Maya tells Miles that she talked to the teacher and they are all
flirty about the semi. He officially asks her and they kiss before he heads
home for a family dinner. Miles leaves and Zig confronts Maya for ratting him
out saying he’s going to end up in a group home and that sucks. He admits his
parents kicked him out and tells Maya she doesn’t know things and should mind
her business.
Jenna tells Connor she wants to apologize as she looks over at him
dressed in his new cloths and wearing the contacts. He tells her that he
accepts her apology and that he’s going to use the new look and they are going
to win king and queen.
Imogen is talking to Jack about bra-gate and Jack calls her weird.
Becky comments how Imogen isn’t weird and Jack assures her she meant it as a
complement. Jack leaves to wash her hands and Becky asks Imogen to the dance…just
them…no Jack. Imogen is taken aback however she didn’t know Becky felt THAT
way. Becky says Imogen is the most important person in her life and Imogen
agrees to the ‘date’.
Margaret tells Maya she found her laptop…left in Katie’s room from
when Maya was doing homework. Maya is now blaming herself for forcing Zig into
being sent into a group home however soon she gets the idea to have Zig move in
with them.
Alli and Jenna are looking at their campaign pictures before
looking over to Connor who is now flanked by freshman who want his math help
now that he’s hot.
The ‘Rubber Room’ kids are doing trust exercises and Maya tells Zig
she’s sorry and tells her that he can have Katie’s room if he wants it…Margaret
is already cool with it. There are rules however. 10PM curfew, no drugs or alcohol,
no visitors, and no hooking up. Zig is in.
