13x18 Better Man

The episode opens with Maya entering the rubber room where they are playing a dodge ball esque game. Maya attempts to apologize to Zig for her words but Zig tells her he hates her. Grace tells Maya she needs to cut the crap and at least pretend she’s okay with things. Maya tells Grace how she’s going to be there for an undetermined amount of time and she wants to make friends and not be seen as some stuck up princess and asks Grace for help.

WHATEVER IT TAKES

Alli is meeting with the police to talk about her ‘mugging’ as she’s flashing back to how Leo hurt her. Saying things are kind of foggy.

Dallas is giving a mock interview to Drew however Dallas has to go telling Drew he needs to find someone else to help him out. Zoe shows up offering to help Drew out and he accepts it.

Maya asks if Tristan knows what he’s doing as he’s doing her make up. Miles rolls his eyes at Maya’s raccoon eyes and she explains she’s trying to fit in.

Alli thanks Jenna for staying home with her and Jenna says it’s nothing then asks if Alli told Leo about the mugging and informs her that she’s put two and two together before Alli admits it was Leo that did it and ends up mentioning the wedding. Alli says Leo is just troubled he loves her and is getting help. Jenna wants to call the cops but Alli insists she just needs time.

Maya shows up trying to fit in as the teacher talks about perception. Maya snarks back at the teacher and Grace thinks she’s cool and invites her to skip class with her.

Zoe is helping Drew out with a mock interview and stroking his ego while doing so…..and they kiss….obviously. Drew apologizes however Zoe says it’s cool and he can kiss her whenever so long as his fiancé is okay with it. He tells her things are done with Bianca and they make out.

Alli is looking at her bruised reflection covering up her face as she looks at Leo’s messages. She calls him saying she wants an annulment or else she’ll call the cops on him about his abuse. He promises it will be different this time and that he can’t live without her.

Maya is met by Miles who comments about her skipping class with him to hang out with the outcasts before saying she does make a cute weirdo. Zig tells Maya if she is to hang with them she needs to be initiated and he hands her a gun which Grace assures her is just a BB gun.

Alli is back at Degrassi and Clare asks if they caught the mugger. Alli says she doesn’t want to talk about it and wants to just focus on school. She walks off as Leo keeps giving her threatening texts while she’s telling him to leave her alone…he then texts saying he’s outside.

Drew shows up at the Hollingsworth Mansion for his interview during free period and Mr. Hollingsworth comments on the hickey on Drew’s neck however he’s quick to sidestep that and bring the talk back to the campaign.

Alli’s crying in the bathroom as Jenna reads her threatening texts and Clare finds out about what is going on. Alli says she just needs to go outside and talk to him however Clare and Jenna tell her no and that they are calling the cops.

Maya is in the remedial classroom with her new friends where she’s being dared to shoot at a fish tank. She finally pulls the trigger and it’s just a prop gun with a bang flag. Grace comments how even if it was a BB gun that could lead to expulsion and Maya comments how they should all want out of the rubber room cause they are much better than that.

Leo is waiting outside the school when the cops arrive to arrest him as Alli watches saying he was the man who attacked her and as he’s hauled away she’s crying.

Drew gives Zoe a congratulatory hug as he got the job and asks Zoe out on a real date. Clare walks by and asks Frankie what is going on and she says Zoe and Drew are going out….Clare looks genuinely jealous.

The Bhandari’s finally find the truth about Leo and Alli is upset she disappointed them yet again however her father reassures her they still love her.

Maya is in class and is impressed that Grace still wants to hang out with her. Grace says just because Zig has issues with her doesn’t mean she doesn’t like Maya.

Jenna has a surprise for Alli…a cupcake, a home Spa set up and annulment papers.
