Yet again another episode that didn’t grate me….13C is
totally proving to be much better then the first two blocks so far. This we had
the Drew/Zoe plot as the A, were introduced to an Imogen plot (remember her)
for the B, and more of Alli’s story for the C
Lets go with the C and work our way up shall we….
Alli is trying to get her life back on track despite Leo
being out on bail and having a trial soon (um why didn’t he just get deported
back to France?). She’s trying to get back into science and be one of the two
projects chosen for the regional science competition. She’s floundering however
because her arm is in a sling though I think it may also be in part to her
putting science on hiatus during the whole Leo relationship where if you recall
she was dumbing herself down and having him TUTOR her in the sciences… anyway
she pretty much tells Conner she was abused and not mugged while in the lab
having a meltdown and eventually gets Jenna to be her assistant while she’s incapacitated.
There was also some major Bhandallas UST going on…..I miss Dallas I really hope
he continues to fight for Alli even if their relationship is all but a prom
date.
Imogen’s plot was very much light hearted filler but we need
that in a show especially when the filler isn’t all relationship based. Imogen
goes to do a French Assignment when Luke (HELLO) makes a snide comment about
her nipples as Imogen isn’t wearing a bra. She forgot as she left in a hurry
and doesn’t see the big deal. Madame however sends her to Simpson her sends her
home for breaking dress code as while it doesn’t state one needs to wear a bra
there is a decency code. Imogen is livid and makes a statement on Degrassi TV
despite Becky telling her it’s not the best idea. I like this friendship though
I really want to see fallout for the Imogen/Adam kiss to play out in the
future. Anyway due to this video Imogen as well as other girls wear their bra
outside their shirt and one girl doesn’t wear a shirt at all. This leads the TV
station to be shut down and Imogen who read the code of conduct from top to
bottom to create a face range page because all the dress code restrictions have
a bias against girls…..careful Imogen push too hard and who knows if we’ll have
uniforms again in 13D.
With the Drew plot two things came from it… one I REALLY
would love to see more of the Drew/Dallas/Clare/Connor bromance cause it seems
like their poker games are a regular thing….fanfic PLEASE…. Second there were
so many parallels especially near the end of the episode from the whole Krew
situation as it seems some things never change and Drew can’t seem to break up
with girls when he knows it’s in his best interest to do so. Drew is trying to
focus on his job but Zoe is a stage five clinger and despite wanting to keep
things casual she tells everyone he’s her boyfriend because she wants street
cred being able to say she’s a SOPHMORE dating a SECOND YEAR SENIOR. There were
plenty comments about how much younger Zoe is from Drew which makes this creepy
and awkward from the get and the Clinton comment from Clare in the first act
simply cracked me up but would clearly go over heads of the fans in the shows
key demo…. Also it amuses me cause yes the episode was most likely shot back in
July/August but the episode was set in January/February which in Toronto it’s
Frozen right now….I mean if the pool party was in an indoor pool it’s one thing
but…Anyway at said pool party Drew and Zoe have sex off screen in the Hollingsworth pool house an act which Dallas outs to Clare and Connor later on that it was her first time leading the break up to be Drew asking to be facerange official!!!
