So did they get a new writing staff before
this block or something or has the hiatus with this mixed with the hiatus’s of
some of my other shows clouded my judgment?
Again I’m just going to say I really wish
they kept it to two plots per episode as while the storylines do carry over for
two + episodes it just feels rushed.
Mays’s Makeover plot looked much more interesting in the promos as
I was really intrigued as to what brought on her new look and why she'd have a
gun at school....I mean don't they still have the metal detectors?
She gets this 'Bad Girl' makeover (by Tristan after paying Grace
to give her advice) so that she could fit in with the 'rubber room weirdo’s She
ends up talking back to their teacher and in turn is invited to skip class much
to Zig's dismay. Zig then tells her that in order to hang she has to hold their
gun....it' a BB gun he assures her and while from the promos I was really
hoping it was that or a Paint Ball Gun I still wonder WHAT ABOUT THE METAL
DETECTORS! They go to a vacant classroom (the rubber room class I couldn't
tell?) and they tell Maya to shoot the fish tank...while she's worried she'll
kill the fish and flood the room she caves to peer presure only to find out the
gun is a toy as a flag saying BANG pops out instead of BB’s. She yells at the
group saying that they shouldn’t act like criminals cause aside from Zig who
really is one they are better then that stigma and she walks out. She is back
to her normal self and Grace still wishes to be friends with her cause she
thinks it’s cool that Maya stood up to them. I really can’t wait to see more of
Grace’s plot I just hope she’s not sucked into all the tenner drama from 13A/B
and has a plot of her own….
Alli’s plot hopefully is the final chapter to her arch as while
Mindy is one of the stronger actors the storyline is just painful (in a
sometimes sad sometime cringe worthy) one to watch. She gives her statement
about the mugger to the cops but Jenna can see right through her façade she
knows it’s Leo and she’s SHOCKED that they got married. Leo is texting and
calling constantly and Alli gives him an ultimatum give me an annulment or I’ll
press charges. Leo promises he’ll be better (Lies) and wants to be her husband
and won’t give up on them. The next day she goes to school however when Leo
texts saying he’s on campus she runs to the girls room to hide….Clare and Jenna
show up and Clare finds out the truth. They end up calling the cops and Alli
has Leo arrested (while we’re at it about where are the metal detectors where
are all the campus cops? I remember back when Declan just wanted to have lunch
with Holly J and Fiona in season 10 and he couldn’t cause he wasn’t a student
or something) She then tells her parents the truth and they say they still love
her despite yet another romantic faux pas on her part. Jenna later on shows up
with a cupcake, home spa, and annulment papers….now I really want to read
Alli/Jenna feme-slash fic
And as for my boy Drew….well god bless the costume department
for putting him in a suit yet again…..seriously love it….he’s practicing for
his interview with Mr. Hollingsworth and Dallas blows him off hinting that Drew
needs to find a new Girlfriend. Zoe then shows up and is at the right place at
the right time. They end up kissing and she asks about Bianca….he tells her
they are over and they make out again. At the interview Drew is quickly called
out about the hicky on his neck however he spins it like a pro and gets the job….he
also gets the girl in Zoe and as Clare looks on with a rolled eye Drew comments
how SHE likes his sideburns….
Episodes 19/20 promise subplots about Drew and Zoe are they
dating or just friends with benefits? And Imogen gets sent home for not wearing
a bra (like seriously….I mean is she wearing something shear that causes a nip
slip or something? Well at least she’s getting screen time again)
