AKA Gives You Hell….I don’t know if it was a working title
or if it went by this name in Canada….anyway in fitting with the Novella format
this episodes plots flow right from the last and it’s rather interesting cause
the continuation of the Katie/Drew plot is mostly from Katie’s POV in part one
and Drew’s in part two which is interesting in its own right.
Council is getting ready to plan the ice hound pep rally as Katie
comes to the meeting late. Marisol asks if she’s up for it and she says yes she’s
president and she’s ready to take the job back from Marisol and asks for the
team to catch her up. She says they should get a sizzle real and show footage
of the team. Mo comments how it should be easy since Dallas is with Drew.
Marisol reminds him of the break up and he apologizes but it’s too late as
Katie starts to ugly cry because it just hurts so much.
WHAEVER IT TAKES
Katie feels like such a looser and an idiot and ends up
admitting to Marisol how she and Drew had sex at the party a few days ago.
Marisol is shocked and wants to know why this is the first she’s hearing of
this and Katie said how she promised not to tell anyone but she just can’t keep
it in anymore. Marisol wants to insert her boot onto Drew’s man parts. Katie
says don’t resort to violence however her parents are out all night going to
some music thing with Maya and she could use a good old fashioned sleepover
with her BFF.
Maya and Tristan are in French together and Campbell is group
less and is assigned to work with them. To Tristan it’s love at first sight
even though the boy may not even play for Tris’s team. In the background there
is an announcement about spots open for the academic team which is a light foreshadowing
for part two.
Eli heads into Simpson’s office and the Principal asks how
his break was. He says how he was in New York and how he’s looking into NYU.
Simpson says it’s a great school and Eli asks to do the play so he can add it
to his portfolio however a proposal has already been approved. Simpson then suggests
that Eli work together with Becky on the show.
Tristan heads to the weight room to get some more brotherly
advice. One of Owen’s teammates is in his class…Campbell Saunders. Owen is all
bitter cause Cam is good and will get more ice time than him this season…..but
he’s not gay….and even just being friends well he’s out of Tristan’s league and
Tristan tells him to GO SUCK AN EGG and yes I may just have that as a Gif.
Katie is looking at a postcard or something from the rehab
on her fridge reading that ‘The Way Will Become Clear’ as Marisol arrives for
their slumber party and she has…..guests….as Mo and Jake follow her inside.
Katie is in shock asking what about the sleep over and Marisol tells her later
but first boys. Katie asks if Jake is aware he was invited to be a rebound and
Marisol tells her it’s what he does so he doesn’t mind in the slightest….ouch. But hey it’s not like Katie didn’t like Jake
before so…..
Eli meets up with Becky at the Dot. She ran the entire Drama
club at her old school and Plays were always her thing. Eli says at Degrassi
plays are his thing and she asks him to put up flyers about the meeting. He
says he’ll just text the present members all she needs to do is bring
refreshments.
The quad are playing a game and when they are finished
Marisol pulls Mo into the other room to make out leaving Katie and Jake
awkwardly alone. Katie pulls Jake into a kiss and then starts ugly crying some
more. She apologizes for thinking she could use Jake to get over Drew just like
that and wishes there was some way to move past this. Jake asks if she’s up for
a trip and they head over to the Torres home with the intent to egg it and blow
off steam when Bianca’s car’s there and they decide to damage that instead.
The next day Marisol asks Katie if she regrets what she did
and she doesn’t in the slightest. She found her clarity and she’s welcoming the
day all relaxed and refreshed. They walk by the car and Katie teases Bianca
about how someone did a number on it. Bianca comments how she wasted a perfectly
good carton of eggs and there are starving kids in Africa. Katie tells her it’ll
make her think twice before boyfriend stealing. The two girls are about to
start a cat fight and Drew tells Katie to take it out on him not her. Katie
asks why is she the one suffering while he gets to go and live his life with
Bianca like nothing bad happened.
Maya comments about how Campbell friended them on face range
and Tristan points out he just friended her. Maya leaves herself logged in as
Cam sends her an IM and so Tristan talks to his crush vicariously through the
other girl.
Eli tosses Clare’s sandwich in the trash cause he wants to
take Clare to lunch to celebrate his idea for the play….one Eli there are
starving kids in Africa as Bianca so eloquently told us just two scenes ago and
two…like Clare says it’s Becky’s play too. Eli offers to play nice and tells
Clare he plans to do a modern retelling of Arthur Miller’s ‘The Death Of A
Salesman’
Campbell looks over to the niners table and flashes them a
smile before walking over telling Maya that he’ll lend her season one of LOST
if she wants and perhaps they can IM when he’s done with practice. Maya’s
confused and Tristan tells him that he was using her profile to chat because he’s
too shy to talk to his face. Maya encourages Tristan to walk over to say hi and
he’s promptly rejected.
Dallas comes to see Katie with video footage of the hockey
team telling her how it’s great she’s doing this and that some of the team
members are homesick and so this will really help them. Dallas leaves and Katie
starts surfing through the footage on the flash drive and comes to the scene
from the party where Drew is coming downstairs screaming how he had sex with
Katie. Katie rolls her eyes thinking that she was just a joke to him.
Maya asks if Tristan is okay….he had a good cry at lunch but
is totally over Campbell. Campbell apologizes saying how he didn’t mean to be
an ass he was just saving face in front of the hockey team cause they are the
closest thing to a family he has. Tristan is so not over it anymore and wants
Maya’s log in to face range chat with Campbell some more.
Katie starts off the pep rally to introduce the hockey team
with an evil glint in her eyes. The video starts introducing players, Luke,
Campbell, Dallas….and then flips toward the video of Drew saying he slept with
her cause hell hath no fury like Katie Matlin scorned.
The drama meeting happens and Eli is telling them about his
play however Becky tells him that the play has already been chosen….. they are
doing a musical version of Romeo and Juliette.
Katie listens as Bianca is flipping out at Drew for his
sleeping with Katie when they were supposed to be back together as Simpson
comes to Katie telling her he’ll get to the bottom of who messed the pep rally
up. Katie says no need and admits to the damage. Simpson tells her to meet him
at the office and Marisol is looking in shock. Katie says she needed to do it….the
way is finally clear and she now has her closure to move on with her life…..TBC
Conner and KC are walking down the hall mocking Drew in the
video as Drew rolls his eyes and approaches Bianca who is about to join the two
boys at the bright spark meeting. Drew is shocked that she’s on the academic
team and Bianca is NOT surprised he doesn’t get it and he’s not going to win
her back with a cell phone case. Drew follows Bianca into the room and tells
the boys he’d be interested in joining the team. Conner comments you need to be
smart and KC tells him they have an opening for Geography and he’s more than
welcome to try tomorrow.
I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH
Eli and Becky are getting ready to cast for the play. Becky
is saying how the role of Juliette has to be perfect and how she prayed for Eli
to not back out hand he’s still there.
Tristan shows up in the French room with Maya’s homework and
the chat transcripts of his conversation with Campbell. Maya tells him he can’t
keep up the charade for long cause Campbell will be royally pissed off.
Speaking of Campbell he enters the classroom and wishes Maya luck on her play
audition as apparently Tristan was talking all about it to him online. Tristan
comments how they both are and Campbell tells her to keep her head up, her stick
on the ice and to break a leg.
Later at the rehearsal Maya comments how she’s supposed to
be in a band as she watches Tori and Tristan sing. Eli likes Tristan’s take and
tells him that there will be a part for him and Becky is all WTF Eli. She doesn’t
think he should be in the play because he’s….confused…see openly gay. Eli says
he’s director so he gets a say in casting more than her has the producer and
she apologizes saying she’s used to going solo on things.
Adam begins to quiz Drew on Geography for his try out and
Drew sucks royally at it. He then starts to pick up as he gets a few right ones
thanks to his vast movie knowledge….He shows up at the tryout in a hoodie and
sunglasses cause he has a migraine and he tells Bianca he’s doing this cause he
doesn’t want to look stupid. KC tells him that if he gets more than ten right
answers in the allotted time he’s in. He’s asked the questions however he’s
totally blanking on the ones he got right just hours ago and he doesn’t know
why. He storms out of the room and he’s dizzy. Adam asks how the audition went
and he tells Adam to back off however he calls him ‘Gracie’ before passing out.
Eli’s brooding in the hall and Clare joins him. She asks how
the Juliette callbacks are going and Eli lets out a sigh. Clare comments how
she should have tried out. Eli says it’s not the actors it’s her and Clare says
how he needs to practice for when he has to work with clashing artists at NYU. She
then reminds Eli of a conversation he had about Christopher Nolan’s work. Eli’s
no Nolan, or Batman hell he’s no longer the Joker anymore.
The doctor tells Drew that he’s got a severe concussion from
the fall down the stairs and he’s asked if he’s had any other head trauma in
the past year. He brings up the MMA stage and Audra is shocked by this as she’s
never told her that before. He can still go to school but no TV, Computers,
Video Games, Reduced Homework Loads…..
Tristan looks up at the cast list and is bummed that he didn’t
even make chorus and he posts as Maya on face range all about it. Campbell asks
where Maya is because he wants to console her about it and says she should tell
the director off. Tristan thinks its great advice and plots to give Eli a piece
of his mind.
Eli’s looking over Tristan’s audition with a sigh as Tristan
walks in to chew him out for not giving him a part like he said. Eli turns
around and offers him the part of Juliette….or rather Jules cause he’s using
his Directorial Pull to make it a story about two guys. Tristan freaks out at
this news and Eli reminds him how this play won’t be easy cause of the controversy.
He needs to be in the musical and if it pisses Becky off well all the better.
Bianca asks Drew if he’s okay and that Adam told her about
the head injury. He doesn’t want to talk and tells Bianca she’s right, he’s
stupid and she deserves better and he heads to the mall to return the phone
case.
Campbell goes to congratulate Maya on being Juliette because
Tristan is still posting his thoughts on her wall. Maya tells Campbell she’s
not playing the part….Tristan says that he is….he’d been still logged into Maya’s
account and how he’d been masquerading as her this whole time cause he wanted
to get to know him cause he was shy. Tristan hopes they can move past things
and laugh and be friends however Campbell doesn’t want to be friends after
being betrayed.
Drew shows up at the mall to return the phone case and as he’s
talking to the Kiosk owner someone steals a phone. Drew chases after the thief
and jumps him recovering the merchandise and then passing out. The owner tells
Drew just how awesome. Bianca shows up all worried asking if Drew hit his head
again. She’s worried, he shouldn’t be playing super hero….she loves him and it
would kill her if something bad happened to him.
Becky walks into the theater as Tristan is singing. Eli
tells her that he cast Tristan as Jules and he’s already gotten the go ahead
from Simpson about his change. Becky says he’s lying how can the principal
approve a play that glamorizes homosexuality and she ends up quitting the play
over it because it’s against her beliefs and it’s an abomination…. This isn’t
right…..Welcome To Degrassi…..
