11x38/39 Need You Now RECAP—

Eli’s napping as Imogen is creepily taking pictures of him. He wakes up and she asks him what he was dreaming. He is curious and asks if he was a snorer and Imogen informs him he was simply just a drooler. She’s curious if he always goes to sleep at 9:15 and he says he was just run down by his jog though now that he’s had a power nap he’s wired and invites her to spend the night and watch a movie. Imogen is a bit weary at first but then decides to call her dad and lie saying she’s with Fiona. She is about to make the call when Bullfrog shows up saying how Eli needs to keep up with a sleep schedule to insure his meds work and Imogen leaves. Eli is upset his dad is wanting to parent and cock blocked him by bringing up his bi-polar not that he and Imogen were going to do anything more than see a movie and sleep.

WHAEVER IT TAKES

KC’s looking around his apartment for a permission slip when he finds an invitation to Ty’s christening. He asks Lisa why he’s just seeing it and she says how it’s just been too soon and she didn’t want seeing Ty to trigger any parental feelings. KC however needs to see him and needs to tell Jenna about the invitation.

Bullfrog is dropping Eli off and Eli is asking about a guitar in the car….random but it’s a plot point. Eli brings up last night and Bullfrog says how he doesn’t want Eli to date not after his manic episodes he had with Clare….you know the hearse crashing and the impromptu monologue. Eli tells him it was pre diagnosis and is okay but his dad still is hesitant to let him date.

Tori is trying out for Power Squad where there is only one spot open which is hard to fathom since Jenna is obviously not on the team and Chantey and Anya if not more have just graduated. I’d like to assume that they promoted from JV before having an open call or something….anyway Marisol makes her choice and said choice isn’t Tori. Tristan thinks that Marisol is off her rocker cause Tori rocks and tells her to plead her case.

Eli’s late on a paper but Mr. P tells him to take his time and not to stress. Fiona’s shocked the teacher isn’t being a hard ass on Eli and Eli claims its one of the perks of his illness. Fiona asks about the date and then Eli tells her how it was good til Bullfrog had to spoil it. He’s embarrassed about the situation and knows that Imogen probably thinks he’s unhinged again.

Conner wants to work on an assignment with KC however he can’t he wants to talk to Jenna who is talking to Jake. KC walks over to the duo and Jake retires to his locker as KC invites Jenna to the christening after school. Jenna can’t she made plans to go to the mall with Jake but from the look on the other boys face this is the first he’s hearing of this however he says nothing keeping out of business that isn’t his.

Imogen is taking photos in the zen garden and Eli shows up apologizing. He kisses her and she pulls back unsure about the PDA telling him to meet her after school in the art room.

Tori, Maya and Zig are walking down the hall and Tori is telling them about how Marisol thinks fresman are unreliable…as if. Power Squad was supposed to be HER thing but now she doesn’t know what to do. Zig suggests she films him skating so he can submit it to some contest. She says yes just before Marisol approaches saying how the new girl is already hurt and she’s in. Zig asks if she’s still going to film him and Tori says she can so do both.

Eli shows up at the art room and is met by Imogen’s lips and an order to close his eyes. When he re-opens them he sees a mosaic that creates a (gallery shoot) picture of Eli. It’s Imogen’s art project and it’s to make the statement that mental disorder isn’t a stigma. Eli’s upset that she’s making him the poster child for a mental disorder especially because the picture is going to be entered in a national art show. He tells her he’s her boyfriend not some project then flips out and breaks her camera.

Tori’s filming but needs to get to practice. Zig just wants one more take cause he didn’t stick his landing and the lighting won’t be good when her practice is done. He says he can always go find Maya and Tori shakes her head saying five more minutes won’t hurt.

Eli’s on the treadmill in the weight room and Fiona comes in upset wanting to talk to Eli about his flip out. Eli tells her she’d do the same if it were a picture of her and the topic was about alcoholism. Fiona says yea but he’s still in the wrong.

Tori shows up late and Marisol notices. The senior tells Tori there are only three excuses for tardiness, death, dismemberment, and detention and demotes her to mascot until which time they can find another one as punishment.

Eli apologizes to Imogen and hands her a new state of the art camera he got for her. He asks where she wants to go to test it out and she tells him she’s going to stay at home and immerse herself in the three H’s. Homework, a Hot Bath, and Harry Potter.

KC shows up at the Powell’s sorry he missed the christening and wants to hold the baby. He does and the baby cries because KC is unfamiliar to him.

Adam and Eli are playing old school Atari games at the Goldsworthy’s and Adam asks about Imogen. Eli says it’s complicated as Bullfrog asks where his guitar is. Eli says he loaned it out but when his dad leaves he tells Adam he pawned it to get Imogen her camera.

KC finds out Ty was renamed Doug and offers to help put him to bed but the Powell’s have a strict routine that’s followed.

Eli and Adam show up at Imogen’s hoping to get the camera back to trade it to get back the guitar however Mr. Moreno answers the door with Imogen’s dog Volta and tells them she’s out with a friend and to try her cell. This leaves Eli confused because she said she was staying home.

KC arrives home late as he stopped at the library to get child care books. He knows he gave the baby up but he still wants to be a part of his son’s life as a babysitter is much better than being a stranger.

Eli leaves Imogen a voice message and starts freaking out with paranoia. Adam tells him he needs to chill however as his friend leaves Eli calls yet again….TBC

Adam asks Eli if he’s heard from Imogen yet and Eli shakes his head. He hasn’t and thinks it must be over and she avoids him. Moments later however Imogen approaches with the camera saying her cell was off. Eli asks what she was doing the night before and Imogen says she was home and when he says he came over and her dad said she was with a friend she says she must have been taking Volta for a walk….also a lie since the dog was with Mr. Moreno. Eli doesn’t call Imogen out however when she walks off he tells Adam that the dog was there and how Imogen MUST be cheating on him. Adam says not necessarily and Imogen must have been just getting waxed or something and was too embarrassed to tell this to Eli.

I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH

Tori meets Zig in the mascot uniform and tells him how she’s now the mascot thanks to being late. Zig laughs at her telling her if she hates being the mascot she should just quit the squad. Tori says she’d hate her situation less if Zig came with her to roar for dimes to buy new pompoms however Zig has to meet with his skating buddies and blowing them off for her would be against guy code or something.

Eli is looking at the photos on the camera Imogen gave him and sees it’s full of pictures of Fiona however thinks nothing of that as he watches Imogen enter the classroom with Jake. They are talking cause they were sharing notes however Eli just knows Imogen’s been hooking up with Jake. Imogen tells Eli they need to talk and Eli comments how the only thing he wants to talk about is after school plans. Imogen says she’s already got some…..a girls night with Fiona but Eli’s more than welcome to crash.

KC doesn’t turn in his science assignment and is told he’ll lose a grade for each day he’s late. He tells Jenna about how he saw the baby and plans on going again and Jenna tells him cut the crap. He didn’t want anything to do with his son when they had him and yet now he wants to play doting daddy. KC feels guilty about before and wants to make it up to himself and his son.

Tori is roaring when Maya sees her in costume and asks if she’s being hazed. She explains how she was late to practice because she was doing a favor for Zig and now she’s reaping the consequence. Maya comments on Zig’s absence in the moment and says it seems that while Tori is giving her life up for Zig he’s not wanting to do the same back and it’s not right.

Eli is heading back from the pawn shop with Adam as he’s getting the guitar back. It’s clear he’s paranoid and thinks Imogen is with Jake and wants to show up to Fiona’s to prove himself right.

KC goes to the Powell’s to see his son however they have plans and they tell him that they can call and set up a visitation time at a later date.

Eli and Adam show up at Fiona’s place where inside Imogen’s venting to her friend about how she’s scared of Eli’s episodes hence her hiding out at the condo. They soon hear a noise and open the door to see Eli and Adam. Eli asks where the French Guy was however the girls tell him they were just watching a movie. Imogen then admits she was at Fiona’s the night before and is worried about Eli’s sanity. This leads to a fight and Eli telling the trio to go to hell before storming out. He heads home and begins to purge himself of reminders of Imogen. Bullfrog walks in and Eli breaks down saying he was right to not wanting Eli to date and he fears he’s having a breakdown and is relapsing into his mental ways.

KC wants to sue for visitation and Lisa tells him he shouldn’t. When he gave up his son he agreed to only seeing him once or twice a year at most and he needs to stick with it. She thinks this is good for KC cause by giving his son up he not only assures his son of having a better life but he can have one himself as well.

Tori wants Zig at her first game where she’s mascot however Zig just wants to skate. Yea, he’s a keeper. She’s mad that he values skating over her and says as much.

Eli goes to his shrink and tells her about the whole Imogen thing. She says that it wasn’t an episode and it was simply hormonal seventeen year old male drama.

KC turns in his paper and tells Jenna he’s sorry. He gets why they gave the baby up and he just wishes he could move on easily like her. Jenna assures him it hasn’t been an easy ride for her she’s just faking it really well. The teacher then calls KC to her desk saying how he’s the only one that got question 3 right and how she knows how he can make up his low marks.

Tori arrives at the team bus saying she can’t find the mascot costume. Marisol tells her it’s because they got a new person to take over and she needs to suit up in her cheer uniform ASAP to head to the away game. It turns out Zig is the new mascot and he did this so Tori could be on the team….awww.

Imogen and Eli meet up at the Dot. Eli apologizes for his actions and tells her how the shrink says it was hormonal. Imogen says how she loved the fantasy of being his girlfriend over the reality of it and they both agree they are much better as friends.

KC’s on the Science Olympic team as a means to move on.

Eli’s in his room and Bullfrog tells him the shrink told him he shouldn’t hold Eli back in dating and he can if he wants. Eli says thanks but right now he’s back to being single however Imogen is there to see him. She wants to know how come she got a call saying she’s a finalist for the art show since she had previously pulled her piece. Eli says that he submitted it for her and they decide to hang out. He heads into the shower because he just came from the gym and smells and she goes to wait for him.
