There is
something rather eye rolling about this episode and that something is that one
of its subplots centers on a school election. I know what you’re saying….this
is High School and that’s what they have…all well and good, however remember
this school year started all the way back at the start of last season where we
ALREADY had the Sav vs. Holly J election. My assumption is cause the current
president is a senior and will be gone there is a need to have a new one
inducted before he graduates to take care of all the back to school planning.
Katie’s asking
Marisol her views on the health initiative that the schools going on cause
issues matter if she wants to get votes. Marisol jokes that if she wants to get
votes she should wear tighter shirts…..okay….but when all is said and done
Katie’s a shoe in as while she’s not unopposed her only competition is Mo.
Katie says Mo’s smart and he’s funny and Marisol says yea but he’s fat and
their president needs to be aspirational like the picture in Katie’s poster.
She also brings up the tight shirts once more as Drew gives them a wave.
Marisol can’t believe Drew’s flirting with her and Katie comments how she
thought her friend moved past him. Marisol says you never get over an epic
crush and could you imagine being held in his strong arms….kissing his lips….
Katie interjects saying Drew and her….Marisol knows…are in Tae Kwon Do together
and hopes Katie can put in a good word.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Eli’s re-watching
a video of his monologue with his therapist and he’s wondering how he can face
everyone after this. He’s officially diagnosed bi-polar and he asks if he
should stay home for a few more days. She thinks it’s best for him to go back
and if he needs to talk her number is on speed dial.
Katie asks how
Drew is and he says better now that he knows fighting doesn’t solve problems
thanks to her and he offers her a thank you gift in the form of tickets to the
Canada vs. US soccer match. She’s excited to go however once he comments about
how he thought it could be the perfect first date she falters….she really wants
it to be but her best friend still harbors a crush and it’s totally against the
girl code to do it. Drew tells Katie he’ll just have to tell Marisol they are
together however when Marisol comes over he says that they were talking about
her campaign. When Drew goes to class Marisol says he knows they were really
talking about her. Katie informs her Drew is actually into someone else.
Mo’s campaign is
that he’s not popular so he’ll have more time to focus on the school. Sav tells
him he might be over selling himself as Miss Oh calls Sav into her office to
talk about his musical tastes….she made him a mix tape….for his musical
development. Mo comments how he thought nothing happened at the concert and Sav
says all they’ve been talking about was music.
Bullfrog told
Simpson about the current developments and how he’s going to have to go to the
nurse twice a day to take meds. He asks what Eli’s writing and he says a
revenge list…no seriously it’s a list of people he needs to apologize to
starting with the girl he needs most on his side right now….care to guess…..and
no….it’s probably not who you thought. Bullfrog gives him a pill and makes him
stick his tongue out to make sure he’s swallowed.
Simpson goes over
the rules of the election and Marisol asks if it’s too late to go into the
running. Katie comments how her friend knows how much she wants the position
and Marisol comments how it’s as much as she wanted Drew and she knows she’s
the other girl in question.
Eli goes to Fiona
(see bet you all thought Clare or Imogen am I right?) and wants to ask for her
apology with a present. Fiona opens the box to see a trophy that reads Best
Supporting Actress Fiona Coyne. He tells her she was the director and he tells
her that she did cover on stage at the last minute and admits he’s bipolar.
Drew’s helping
Katie out but she feels she’s a lost cause running against Marisol. She’s
little miss popularity. Drew says he cares about her and Katie tells him that’s
the crux of the problem. Her and Marisol have been best friends since Kindergarten
and have been through allot….their practically sisters and now she’s went and
betrayed her by being with him. Katie wants to find Marisol to talk but first
Drew wants her to eat something because she missed lunch and hands her a burger
from the Dot. Katie comments how caloric it is and passes.
Sav tells Miss Oh
one of the songs on the mix tape inspired him on edits to a song but he can’t
get a bridge right and they plan to meet the next day for lunch to work on
music.
Katie wants to explain
herself. She didn’t go after Drew on purpose things just happened and she plans
on doing anything for Marisol. Marisol tells her to end things with Drew and
she’ll drop out. The next day Drew asks why she ignored his calls and she says
that they need to break up before they even get started because no one can get
between her and her best friend. Drew tells her she completes him and Katie is
conflicted.
Mr. P gives the
class an assignment on Religion and Jake asks if he can build a full scale
model of a sweat lodge. Eli then approaches Jake after class asking to
apologize. Jake tells him words won’t cut it and he begins to bang his binder
on the desk in frustration.
Sav and Miss Oh
are working on music. She gives him pointers and she says she wants his advice
on one of her original compositions.
Marisol asks how
the break up went but Katie admits that she couldn’t go through with it. She
can’t explain herself further as its debate time. Marisol interrupts Katie’s
speech and Katie calls her a shameless home wrecker.
Eli’s calling his
doctor freaking out cause if Jake won’t accept his apology he’ll never get
better. The doctor says you can apologize all you want but you can’t force forgiveness.
Miss Oh
apologizes about walking out after she sang and says that they shouldn’t spend
time with him after all a teacher writing a love song about a student is
wrong….right….well they kiss.
Eli tells Fiona
that he needs to find a new activity and as he hears Clare and Jake fight he
knows what it’s going to be….helping Jake understand how Clare ticks to keep
them together.
Katie apologizes
about the home wrecker comment and how it just slipped. Marisol says she can
let things slip too like how she’s out all night playing soccer and how she
spends her lunches in the paper office and how the only other guy she’s kissed
was in a game of truth or dare….oh and then there is Katie’s little ‘problem.’
Katie says she promised she’d never tell.
Eli wants to talk
to Jake but he won’t listen and so Eli pitches that he wants to do a sweat
lodge forcing him to be paired with Jake much to Jake’s chagrin.
At Tae Kwon Do
Drew tells Katie how everyone is talking about her home wrecker comment. She
then asks why he even likes her and tells him that she’s only ever kissed two
other guys. He tells her she saw him at his worst and didn’t freak….he doesn’t
just like her he needs her and they kiss. Marisol walks in and says that she
hopes the stress of the election doesn’t cause her to relapse. Drew asks what
that’s supposed to mean and Marisol says she has an eating disorder. Drew says
she’s bluffing and nobody would buy it and Katie says yea cause that would be
pathetic and Drew replies she’s not….as they hug however a look of guilt
crosses Katie’s face….TBC
Katie rips one of
Marisol’s poster’s down in rage as Miss Oh shows up. She’s heard rumors about
Katie and they are serious accusations. Katie denies that she’s bulimic however
the teacher tells her she needs to see a councilor cause rumor or not it’s
serious. Katie says fine but wants to go after the election. Marisol shows up
asking if Katie is okay….no…she’s not and wants Marisol to take back her
comments. No, not unless Katie takes back the home wrecker comment. Katie brings
up that Marisol WAS a Home wrecker while she hasn’t purged in months. Marisol
points out how Katie still counts every single calorie but so do most girls in
school. Katie’s glad that she picked Drew over Marisol but Marisol assures
Katie Drew will dump her just as soon as things get messy….and they WILL Get
messy….oh yes….yes they will.

IT THROUGH
Jake and Eli are
working on building the sweat lodge as Eli is commenting about how talk can be therapeutic…and
also he dated Clare for three months and can give Jake some insight. Jake tells
Eli how Clare wanted to see a movie but he said it wasn’t his cup of tea and
they’ve been bickering ever since.
Katie’s on the
radio show to campaign and Adam and Dave have a polygraph app and plan to put
the rumors about Katie to rest. When they asks if she’s bulimic and she says no
it pings that she’s lying and she says it’s just a 99 cent app and that it
means nothing.
Mo’s eager to
tell Sav about the girl’s catfight at the debate however he soon brings up Sav
and Miss Oh however Sav doesn’t want to kiss and tell.
Fiona asks Eli if
she should vote for the liar, the home wrecker or Mo….does that guy even go to
this school? Eli tells her how he doesn’t know how to get to Jake and help set
things right between him and Clare. Fiona comments that Jake and Clare should
be locked in a room and while she was joking….Eli thinks it’s a great idea.
Katie’s going
over her final speech however Drew walks in. He assures Katie she’ll nail it
and besides what’s being said are just rumors….right? Drew leaves and Katie
picks up a bag of cheese puffs and emotionally eats before pausing and looking
over the nutrition information in disgust.
Miss Oh tells Sav
she’s sorry she led him on like she did.
Katie goes to the
washroom and locks herself in a stall and starts to cry. Marisol hears her and
asks what happened….did she relapses? Katie says no….like she cares. She’s
going to lose everything….the guy, the presidency….and all cause Marisol didn’t
like that Drew liked her more. Katie tells Marisol she’s a horrible person and
is dead to her.
Later on, Katie
asks Drew to spar and tells him how she’s thinking of quitting the race. Drew
asks why and she admits to him that the rumor is true. It all started at soccer
camp….she was the slowest runner and while she tried to go on a healthy diet
her body craved carbs and every time she ate she’d feel her body getting fatter
and so she got rid of things. She understands if he wants to end it but he
doesn’t. He’s not one to judge as he has enough baggage to fill a hotel cart
and tells her she can’t concede and let Marisol win.
Jake and Eli are
in the lodge when Clare comes because she heard something was wrong….Clare
realizes she’s being set up however Fiona locks the trio inside and Eli wants
to facilitate a dialogue between Jake and Clare.
It’s the final Q
& A for the nominees and Katie is about to come clean about her
disorder….Marisol however Kanye’s her saying I’m going to let you finish but
first I was just mudslinging….Katie doesn’t have a disorder and I’m conceding.
Eli tells Jake
and Clare he’s bi-polar which is why he was all obsessive before but he just
wants Clare to be happy and she knows Jake makes her that.
Simpson calls Sav
and Miss O bringing them to the office to talk about their relationship or
what’s rumored to be one. He’s no stranger to being rumored to be in a student
teacher relationship and so he really hopes it’s false. Miss Oh says she was
just helping Sav with music and Sav corroborates however is detention bound till
graduation.
Clare and Jake
are making out in the lodge as Fiona comes up to Eli who’s leaning outside
saying Mr. P is on his way for Jake and him to present. It looks like Jake and
Clare are in a good place and the girls walk off and the boys present off
screen.
Sav sings a song
to Mo about being rejected. Miss Oh comes in and Mo heads out to the election
result announcement. Miss Oh gives Sav a ‘CD’ he borrowed but in reality it’s a
second mixed tape.
Katie wins and
asks Marisol to be her vice.
Fiona and Eli
talk about the success of the scheme. Eli again admits he loves Clare but in
the end he just wants her happiness and now he has one more person to apologize
to. Going to Imogen he wants her forgiveness and invites her to coffee….as a
friend…and not a ploy of any kind.
Katie tells Drew
they need to pull back on them until Marisol is comfortable with them as a
couple. Drew says that if Marisol is around he won’t be.
