Anya, Fiona, and Holly J are looking at magazines looking
through magazines and brainstorming themes….no not for prom but for Anya’s
eighteenth birthday party. Vampires…they are in….no….Fiona suggests Alice In
Wonderland and while it’s shot down as being juvenile she reminds them of the
trippy Burton adaption. Anya thinks Paris but that’s cliché and wouldn’t it
being back memories of Sav and Junior Prom…..pish posh she’s over Sav and in a
few short months she’ll be at Toronto U with Doctor Kris as her boyfriend.
Fiona asks if she should add his name to the invite list and Anya says let’s
ask him and she dials him up as Holly J and Fiona are making kissy noises. He’s
been meaning to call her and she tells him her birthday is in two days and
invites him. She hangs up saying to the girls he can’t make it…..but he asked
her out for the following night instead.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Wesley and Hannah are in chemistry class when she notices
Connor is looking at her chest.
Anya asks Holly J and Fiona for fashion advice as Owen gives
a little whistle from where he stands at his locker. Chantey arrives asking
Anya why she’s yet to update her status…..you know because university letters
are trickling in. Anya says she hopes to hear from TU any day now and in the
meantime continues to putter on about the date while Owen looks all sad and
puppy like from afar. The girls leave and Owen comments how her birthday is
coming up and if she needs someone special to celebrate he’s her guy. She tells
him she’s got someone….a doctor in fact and when Owen brings up the age she
says he’s only twenty six (looks like someone else had a birthday too or it’s a
continuity lapse) Owen comments how they have nothing in common (Anya and the
Doctor). She tells him she feels sorry because she’ll be at college next year
while he’ll still be at Degrassi being a pig. He tells her to call him if
things don’t pan out.
Conner calls to Hannah asking why she gave him the stink eye
earlier and asks if she’s mad. She says he was looking at her chest and he says
so….Wesley does it all the time…..um yea because he’s her boyfriend so it gives
him leering at boob privileges Connor…..
Anya is getting ready at the loft for her date. Her mom
thinks she’s sleeping over at Fiona’s and if she calls to check in the girls
are to lie and say she’s in the bathroom and to text her and she’ll call her
back. The girls comment why she assumes she’ll spend all night with him and
Anya wonders why people just don’t get she likes an older guy.
Drew and Audra are with the lawyer however there are inconsistencies.
Drew says he was on the ground but the blow happened from behind. The lawyer
says that aside from that it will ultimately stick and he won’t get a murder
rap because it was self-defense and Vince is in police custody so he shouldn’t
bother.
The Doctor is late due to an emergency surgery but he shows
up. Anya comments how she’ll be eighteen at midnight and pauses….something’s
wrong….he’s found someone else…..no he hasn’t and they take a seat.
Ty’s asleep and Jenna’s ready to unwind and relax and watch
Dancing With The Stars with KC however he’s all ready to go watch the
Heat/Lakers Game at Dave’s. Jenna pouts as she’d planned to spend time with him.
KC stays reluctantly.
Anya says that university acceptances should be coming in
soon and she knows she’s getting into TU. Dr. Kris asks what about other
schools but she just applied to the one close to home cause of her mom…..well
and her mom’s dreamy doctor that is. Marisol comes to the table asking if they
want to order dessert but Dr. Kris passes asking for the bill causing alarm in
Anya. He tells her it’s a school night and so she should go home…..Anya says
she’s got the curfew thing covered and Doctor Kris says there is something
else. He’s got offered a job with Doctors Without Borders and will be leaving
to go to Africa for a year.
The following day, her Birthday, Anya is broody as Owen asks
how the big date went. She walks away and tells Holly J they can cancel the
party because the doctor ended it. Holly J asks if it was the age thing but
Anya tells her no its cause he’s going to Africa….he wants to save the world.
Holly J replies ‘that bastard’ and Anya says it wasn’t the age thing….and he
did say if she could he’d take her with him and what difference will a year
make. Holly J says they can have a girl’s night at Fiona’s. Anya nods and goes
on the computer to check her university status only to see she got rejected.
Conner asks Wesley if he needs a new lab group. Wesley says
no, he told Hannah it was an asperges thing and she got over it. He tells
Conner if he’s so curious about girls he can help her get one.
Bianca asks Drew if it’s all over and he tells her that he
got off on account of it being self-defense and thanks to a note Bianca forged
from Audra they skip class to make out in the theater.
KC is complaining about how the baby just doesn’t have an
off switch and Jenna comments how his mom says that babies cry for three
reasons hunger, sleepiness, or because they pooped. Well she’s breast feeding
him, KC states they just did a change so I’m betting its tiredness….Jenna
however asks KC to give him a diaper however they are already on their last one
despite them being on KC’s shopping list. He forgot….but he’ll get them now and
so he walks out leaving Jenna alone with Ty.
Anya shows up at the hospital to float an idea by Dr. Kris.
What if she went to Africa too…..She’s only got two months left of school and
university can wait. Dr. Kris points out how they’ve only ever gone on two
dates and don’t really know one another. Anya says so he was just BSing when he
said he wanted her to come.
KC is sitting at Little Miss Steaks watching the game when
Marisol comes over. He says how he hears they are hiring a dishwasher because
it’s better that then being with the baby.
Audra tells Drew that Vince couldn’t be held but there is a
restraining order on him. Audra says she warned Drew about THAT GIRL and Drew
says she changed. Audra says she may have changed but you can’t change the
past.
Anya shows up for ‘girl’s night’ only to be ambushed with a
Surprise Party. Hannah is impressed
Wesley got her into a Senior Party and he says he and Anya are close and Conner
comments how her friends were just trying to fill the room most likely. He and Hannah go get drinks as Wesley tells
Conner to mingle and mingle he does going up to Fiona asking if she knows
cheese contains no more than four types of bacteria. Fiona walks away to speak
to Holly J and Conner ends up finding himself in Fiona’s room. Shaking one of
her snow globes he soon opens up a draw which happens to be her underwear draw.
Pulling up a pair he pockets it as Anya collapses on Fiona’s bed in tears.
Ty is crying again as KC go makes his bottle. He comments
how there must be an easy way and Jenna says they can’t afford an electric
bottle warmer. KC then says that he’s thinking about getting a job to help them
out. She’s fine as long as the money does come to them.
Owen shows up in the room saying it’s her party and she’ll
cry if she wants to. Anya asks him why he’s there and it’s to escape her
friends comparing future majors. She asks him to leave but he says it’ll reduce
his chances of kissing her. She’s repulsed and calls him a pig but he points
out he might be one but he’s not the pig making her cry. She tells him how the
doctor is off to Africa and she then ends up kissing Owen and fade to black……
