In a pretty similar tone as the last episode with the ‘wishing
stars’ this time it’s most likely February in Degrassi cannon as love is in the
air and Sav dressed up adorably as cupid is encouraging students to send their
loved ones roses. Anya asks Holly J for a dozen yellow ones….not for a guy but
cause her mom is hearing her results back today. Holly J says she can have the BFF
discount and that she’s there no matter what to talk about it.
Adam and Eli are talking about who to cast for the lead in a
play…Anya is too cheerful. Adam says they’ve auditioned ten girls and so far
the best they’ve got is Marisol and hopefully they’ll find a leading lady
worthy of Adam. Speaking of leading ladies Fiona calls to him asking why he’s
been avoiding her….um could it be that she stood him up at her own party….yea
it could be. She really wanted to come but her great aunt died and there is no
way she could let Adam know. Adam says she can make it up by being his co star.
She asks if there is singing and while there isn’t there is a kiss. She says so
long as she gets final wardrobe approval she’s in it.
WHAEVER IT TAKES
Eli is teasing Adam that Fiona loves him and that’s why she’s
doing the play. Adam plans to let her know the real him deep down before he
drops the trans* bomb. She asks if Fiona’s free and they end up setting up a
date….well you know what I mean.
Dave’s trying to his locker however a random couple is using
his locker as a leaning post to make out. I guess the no PDA rule has been axed
well at least for sweetheart week. He slumps down next to a freshman girls and
they begin to run color commentary on the couple. Her name is Sadie and he inadvertently
asks her out and she accepts.
Dr.Kris says that Mrs. McPherson has a clean bill of health
and as the duo leave Anya takes a glance at his date book. The next day Anya’s
telling Holly J how her mom is cancer free and all she can think about is NOT
having to go to the hospital and confides in her the crush on Dr. Kris. She
then proposes that her and her friend who just so happens to be dating her ex
accidentally bumps into the good doctor.
Adam is in awe of the loft and Fiona asks to take a drink
before working…..to get into character of cores. They start setting up the kiss
but first he wants to just let her know he’s trans*. Fiona is totally cool. She
gets it. She’s from New York and her mom’s stylist Wilma used to be William.
Fiona then comments how she’d rather kiss Adam as opposed to any other guy at
school…..RED FLAG RED FLAG. She spills her drink on him and offers up some of
Declan’s clothes he left there.
Anya and Holly J are at the restaurant and Holly J comments
how Dr. Kris is too old for Anya. She ignores saying Holly J needs to fake
choking after all Anya did fake a pregnancy for her. Holly J ‘chokes’ on an
Olive and Dr. Kris helps. Anya offers to buy him a thank you dessert however he’s
there on a date.
Adam is in the bathroom trying to tie the tie on Declan’s
suit and Fiona comes in the room to help. Adam asks truth or dare and asks why
she skipped the party as she says truth. Swigging back another drink she says
he looks at her like she’s this perfect princess but when he sees her flaws he’ll
dump her. He says he won’t then says dare…..the two of them kiss.
The next day Anya says the woman so isn’t Dr. Kris’s type
and she’s not going to give up. Picking up her cell she calls him but hangs up
on the first ring. He calls back asking her to dinner….the woman was just a
co-worker. Anya plans to meet him at Little Miss Steaks.
Adam asks Fiona backstage if she got his flowers and she
comments how last night they were just in a moment and it never happened. Adam
is crushed asking what never happened and they do their play.
Dave tells Connor and Wesley about his date with Sadie
however when they see she’s taller than Dave they start mocking him.
Adam tells Eli about last night and how into it Fiona seems.
Adam then mentions how she was drinking and Eli comments maybe she’s too
nervous to admit her dealings sober.
Anya is on her date with Dr. Kris. He admits he’s wanted to
ask her out for a while but he didn’t think a college girl like her would go
for an old man like him…..by old he’s 25 and is thinking Anya is 20…and a half
when she’s really 17.
Dave goes out with Sadie and they are chatting about
basketball. She says how she has four brothers so she’s really into sports.
They both stand and he feels intimidated and goes to get food.
Adam brings Fiona the cloths back saying how he’s dropping
out of the play. He wanted her in it because he liked her but apparently it was
all in his head. Fiona says what if it wasn’t and asks him to stay for dinner
causing Fiona to take another drink.
Anya has to leave cause it’s her curfew….self-imposed….she’s
really studious. Dr. Kris offers to drive her to the dorms and Anya panics
asking Holly J where they are.
Fiona offers Adam cheese imported from the city. He comments
on her drinking and she says in Europe they do it all the time.
Holly J is driving Anya home and Dr. Kris is upset. They
both had a good time however it sucks because now her mom is in remission there
is no excuse for her to be at the hospital. The good doc teases he can find a
way and after Anya shows him an invisible mole they kiss goodnight.
Holly J shows up at the loft after dropping Anya off to get
a book and she sees Fiona and Adam making out. Holly J realizes Fiona is drunk
and offers to tuck her in. Fiona doesn’t want to go to bed and so she tells
Adam to look out for her and if she needs help her number is in Fi’s cell and
it doesn’t hurt to slip seltzer in the champagne bottles. Holly J leaves and
Fiona asks if he’s okay and Adam says yes now that Holly J is done interrupting
though deep down Adam can since Fiona has issues….TBC
Cupid Sav is announcing the lover’s lunch that the café is
holding.
Adam shows up with Clare and Eli. Adam says how Fiona is
sleeping in but it’s cause they spent the whole night ‘rehearsing’ if you know
what he means. Eli the director doesn’t condone his stars Diva behavior but as
Adam’s friend he gives him a high five saying see Fiona really is into you no alcohol
required…..Adam just gives Eli a look that says nope she was drinking again.
Clare then invites Fiona and Adam to double date with her and Eli.
I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH
Anya tells her mom she’s texting Holly J about a boy. She
tells her mom its Dr. Kris and she’s all no….he’s too old. Anya shakes it off
saying they went on a date and plan on another one.
Holly J asks Fiona if she and Adam are a thing. Fiona doesn’t
know. holly J says she’s just never seen her with anyone like that before.
Fiona says Adam makes her happy and she can be herself and Holly J wishes that
she could be herself sans booze. Fiona shrugs the comment off gushing about how
Adam got her flowers..white roses her favorite. She tells Holly J drinking
makes her feel good so why should she stop.
Dave is trying to grab a book and Sadie helps him asking if
they are on to play ball after school. Dave comments about seeing a movie
instead and she teases about him not wanting to play a girl….okay lets go with
that. She leaves and Connor and Wesley arrive piling on the short jokes at Dave’s
expense.
Anya and Holly J are setting up for the lovers lunch and
Anya is telling Holly J about how her mom is being unreasonable about her and
Dr. Kris after all they say the youngest someone should date is half their age
plus seven but that would make the magic number 19 and a half not almost 18
like Anya is. Whatever she likes the good Doc and he likes her. Holly J says he
needs to find out the truth….what if he wants to go to a bar? She’ll get a fake
ID….or rent a car….she doesn’t drive….or go to a work event where they bump
into one of her parents friends who out her. Anya asks if he’ll get in trouble….Holly
J says the sooner he finds out the better and Anya comments well if he likes me
at 20 he’ll like me at 17.
Fiona shows up with Fiona, Eli, and Clare. She’s buzzed
telling Clare she has pretty eyes but her uniform shirt is unflattering to
them. Eli points out she’s balls to the walls drunk and he should take her away
but Fiona wants to become best friends with Clare. Adam pulls her aside but not
before her telling Clare to call her to go shopping. She tells Adam when they
are alone that Holly J just worries too much and besides she needs to drink to
be with Adam. He walks off crushed and she continues to get hammered.
Anya is on her ‘date’ with Doctor Kris and she’s ready to
tell him the truth however he has tickets to a Ren Fair out of town. He’s booked
rooms at a B&B….that’s rooms plural as he doesn’t want to pressure her. She
comments how she just has to check with her mom…..because they had plans that weekend
which are totally cancelable. He asks what she wanted to say but she can’t tell
him now.
Sadie asks what genre movie they should see but he tells her
something came up. Connor and Wesley ask him if he’s ready for the date and
Dave says they have nothing in common. The boys point out how she likes sports
and similar music….he comments how she’s way too tall and she overhears calling
him a jerk.
Adam tells Eli and Clare he wants what they have. Fiona
shows up asking if she’s missed rehearsal which Eli’d called off for the day.
She pulls Adam aside saying she guesses her and Clare won’t be shopping buddies
anytime soon. She says she was stressed, confused, and Adam asks if she really
was drinking cause of him. She cause she can stop she doesn’t want Adam to
leave…..she loves him.
Anya’s mom comes home early from work to see her leaving the
house to go out on her weekend getaway. Her mom asks how old she’s told the
doctor she is and Anya says 20. Her mom wants her to tell the truth now.
Adam and Fiona are walking in the hall and she asks about a
first date….coffee in Paris….Rome…she has to go but she’ll see him after class.
Holly J tells Adam that Fiona is an alcoholic and he’s enabling her. Holly J
and Laura are staging an intervention and want Adam to come…Adam is mad that
they want to take her away. Adam tells Fiona they should leave.
Conner and Wesley are telling Dave how he still likes Sadie
but Sadie says he can’t go out with her cause she’s a freak. The boys say tall
girl or not he’s a shrimp and layer on more short jokes.
Anya shows up with her mom and comes clean saying she’s 17.
He apologizes to Anya’s mom saying he had no idea how young she was and he’s
sorry but dinner was nice. Anya walks out saying her mom ruined everything.
Adam shows up at the loft to pick Fiona up and she’s passed
out drunk on the couch. She claims she’s only had a little but the room is
spinning and she’s vomiting. Adam calls Holly J and he’s in.
Dave apologizes to Sadie and they decide first at ten wins….if
he wins they go out if she wins he’s out of her life.
Adam takes Fiona to the intervention and Laura says how they
want her to consider inpatient therapy. She tells her mom and Holly J to make
Adam leave she never wants to see him again.
Anya meets with Dr. Kris again apologizing that she lied but
they had a great time and in two months she’ll be eighteen. He says her mom has
to be on bored with this but okay….in two months they can date again but for
now they can only be friends.
Adam tells Eli and Clare how Fiona doesn’t want to see him
again. Holly J shows up at the Dot saying Fiona will get over it and when she
went to the loft she found a page from Fiona’s journal and she thought Adam
should have it. As there is a voiceover of Fiona’s letter there are intercuts….Dave
and Sadie are going out, Anya is drawing stars on her eighteenth birthday and
Fiona is crying to her mom. Adam has a glimmer of hope that she does in fact
love him however there is a good chance said page was about an unrequited crush
on Holly J.
