Study guides are being passed out
for the science final and Anya and Mia plan to study together in a couple’s
only study date. Lucas is in trouble again and he comments that someone said
she was the second prettiest girl in school. Jane comments about how he better
behave at dinner and he tells Mia that their mom is having her latest internet
date over. Mia suggests she and Isabella come for backup.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Simpson has been making progress in
his counseling and is officially coming back to teach the following Monday and Christine
and Jack will be moving back. Simpson tells her he’s got a new mantra. Stand
Tall and Operate Positively. STOP. He sees she’s listening…. No STOP….Sean’s
there looking all sexy in uniform.
The new boyfriend comments about how
the mom told him Lucas likes baseball and he comments about how he was supposed
to go to a game with his dad but had to change plans because of this dinner. He
makes a comment about how the mom kicked him out however come next season we’ll
learn there is way more to the story. It’s not the time to talk about family
drama and the conversation soon turns to Mia who has been teaching Isabella how
to spell with her cheers ad that she’s thinking about running for class
president for next year (and it makes me wonder what if Shep didn’t just
instate Holly J in the role and Mia did win….maybe she wouldn’t of become a
model and became all annoying all of a sudden….not that she wasn’t annoying
pre-season eight just less so though I think it’s more to do with the character
then the actress as Nina was good in Perks of Being a Wall Flower and the first
time she won the People’s Choice for Vampire Diaries she was a write in
nominee)
Back to the program now, Emma tells
Sean she has a new boyfriend. He’s glad she moved on and he tells her he just
wanted to tell her goodbye in person before he gets deployed. He thanks Simpson
for letting him stay there and Simpson tells him that he’s welcome to crash
whenever he’s deployed.
Mia and Lucas are washing dinner
dishes and Mia comments how Isabella is glued to the game. Lucas says perhaps
she’s just glued to Greg (the boyfriend)Lucas is just bummed cause he now has
to wait another month to see his dad as he’s the only one he can vent to. He
comments how it’s sometimes hard to figure out where the co-parenting ends and
the dating begins. The next day she shows up to him in the hall and invites him
over to study. Lucas tells her that they should go to his place instead because
his mom and Greg are gone for the weekend. Jane then pulls her away for some
girl talk saying that she’s sorry they fell out of touch and haven’t
reconnected now that they are both at Degrassi and she wants to commend Mia on
how good a mother she is. She asks why Mia is wasting her time on Lucas and
that he’s going to let her and Isabella down cause that’s what he does. Mia
tells her she has no right to talk because she dumped her as a friend when she
got pregnant.
The family is having dinner and they
comment how Simpson has let himself go. Sean tells Simpson he can be his
personal trainer and set up a regime.
Mia shows up on her date and brings
Isabella. He comments how he thought it would be just the two of them not the
kid. She says they can have alone time when Isabella goes to bed but he had plans
later with the guys. He bales on her when Johnny calls leaving Mia and Isabella
at his place. The next day he tries to apologize by giving her a charm bracelet
with all three of their initials on it asking if they can try again with a date….with
all three of them.
Sean is in the school gym working
out with Simpson who is vastly out of shape.
Mia and Isabella show up to the
house and a party is going on. Lucas bought Isabella a teddy bear and storybook
and says she can play in Jane’s room but Mia loved to party before so he
thought he’d bring one to her.
Simpson and Sean are still training
and Simpson is wiped however Sean is going all drill sergeant and freaking out
on him.
Mia’s put Isabella to bed and Lucas
hands her a beer.
Sean tells Simpson he’s shipping out
and he breaks down. He’s scared. Simpson tells him he’s proud of him. Sean
tells him that it’s a good thing he’s a teacher because he always says the
right things and they share a heartfelt moment.
Spinner and Jane show up at the
house party. They head upstairs. Mia is a drunken mess and Johnny and Bruce are
messing with her. She heads upstairs and is looking for Isabella who is with
Jane because she was scared. Jane tells her Lucas is bad for her and she needs
to leave before it’s too late. Mia agrees and heads downstairs and is getting
ready to leave. As they are walking out the cops come in because there was a noise
complaint. The cops see Isabella and they call children’s aid.
Sean is getting ready to go and he
tells them he just wanted to leave some things cause if he comes back the
family is where he wants to come back to. Then he asks if Emma will take a new
photo of him because he still has the one from their first date.
Mia is told that she’s going to have
to have to be monitored and that the child’s father will too. She tells them he’s
no longer involved.
