7x19 Broken Wings recap

 Jimmy is having a flashback/dream sequence of him playing basketball out of the chair as he’s in the gym coaching the girls. He dismisses them and begins to shoot free throws as his parents show up at school. He’s gotten a letter in the mail and they couldn’t wait for him to open it. It’s from Hudson University and he’s been accepted into their pre law program. His dad comments about one day being law partners and his mom comments how it’s a dream come true…whose dream is yet to bee said.

WHATEVER IT TAKES

Jimmy’s parents present him with a sweatshirt that they ordered when he applied. They talk about a celebratory dinner but his dad has to go to the office. Speaking of, if Jimmy wants his dad has snapped up a summer intern spot for him and the office is now totally accessible.

Peter is waiting for his dad with Darcy. She spots her parents and pulls him back. She’s told her parents about the lodge and the rape but she hasn’t told them about Peter yet.

Jimmy tells Trina about how he got accepted to Hudson. They are celebrating as one of the patients is walking again cause of stem cell surgery. Trina mentions how she’s been talking to the doctor in Amsterdam and plans to get it over the summer. It’s still experimental and not performed in North America and she wants Jimmy to come with her.

Peter sees Danny and Sav jamming out and talks about maybe starting a band but first they need a drummer because a band without a drummer is like Sav without a sticker book. Peter is on it.

Jimmy tells Spinner how he wants to walk back. Spinner wants his left nut back but he knows it’s impossible. Not so impossible for Jimmy if he gets the stem cell surgery. It’s pricy but he has the money. Jimmy shows up at the office to see his dad. His dad goes to give him an application for the internship though Jimmy tells him about the surgery. His dad says his mom and him did look into it in the beginning but it’s still so experimental and it’s illegal there for a reason. He doesn’t want Jimmy to get his hopes up and they should table it until he graduates university. He brings up Trina and his dad tells him never let a woman influence you.

Peter, Sav, and Danny show off their ‘band’ for Spinner and ask if he’s in a drummer. Sappy Love Songs and Polo Shirts aren’t his thing and he tells them to come back when they have edge.

Jimmy tells Trina he’s going to pass on the surgery cause it’s not in ‘The Plan’ Trina tells him that he has enough money to do both and besides walking in Central Park won’t be as fun if she has to push his chair. He leaves and goes to drop off the application for the internship only to see his dad with another woman. The next day his mom informs him that his dad told him what happened….about how Jimmy wanted to have surgery and he said no.

Peter thinks Spinner’s right and their song and sound sucks and he has Sav and Danny change the pace of their music and they have insta-edge.

Jimmy tells Trina about the affair. He’s done everything to make him happy and Trina tells him he needs to make himself happy.

The new and improved trio now named Studz sings again for Spinner. He’s in however he doesn’t want to be seen in public with Danny and Sav cause they are underclassmen (though Danny is an eleven like Peter) They end up wearing rabbit masks and posting a viral video.

Jimmy breaks into his dad’s office with Trina. It’s not stealing because it’s his money and he forges a letter from his dad. Amsterdam here he comes.

Peter tells Darcy he’s hanging out with ‘the guys’

His dad comments about the money from the bank and Jimmy comes clean about catching his dad with Melanie his co-worker. He tells Jimmy to return the money but he isn’t going to budge.

Peter’s watching the video and Jane comments about how it’s Studz Degrassi’s own secret band. He confides in Darcy it’s him and the guys but shhh.

Jimmy and his parents are having their family dinner. Jimmy tells his mom he and his dad had a breakthrough. Jimmy tells her that he is going to use his money and try to get the surgery. The risk is worth the reward. His mom asks if there are any other secrets she should know about and Jimmy says no hiding his dad’s transgressions.
