New Season, New Characters, New Distributer of the DVD Boxed
Set…..but still the same school year.
It’s the first day back from break and its pretty bus heavy
outside of Degrassi. Manny is now Blonde (though don’t get attached by episode
seven it’s back to normal….I believe she changed if for her role on Instant
Star don’t quote me though). The reason for the buses is because Lakehurst
burnt down and so now the students are going to Degrassi. Peter and Darcy are
still sneaking around from their parents but she really wants him to tell Miss
H.
WHATEVER IT TAKES (the opening is the same instrumental soap
opera style one as last season though the title card has been updated with a group shot. Other changes are Sean, Alex, and JT and in their place is a
Danny/Derek, Holly J/Mia, and Damian/Jane card.)
There is an assembly about the merge and Miss H says that
until the school is fixed it’ll be crowded though either the school was never
fixed or lines were re-drawn because if Lakehurst was re-built then why did
Jane, Johnny, and Bruce stick around and graduate in season nine and Sav, Anya,
and Holly J stick around to graduate in the next graduating class come season
eleven let alone Alli starting at the school in the first place…..plot hole
aside Darcy comments again about how she wants to go public with Peter.
Simpson and Toby are talking when Johnny walks by calling
Toby a digi-weiner under his breath.
Manny and Darcy are in the overcrowded café. Manny wants to
find a Lakehurst boy to hook up with since it seems she’s done with Damian (well
at least until episode three). She sees Sav and takes a seat with him and Jane.
The two Lakehurst teens are talking about going up to a resort over the weekend
to snowboard and invite the girls to come. Darcy comments she can’t cause of a
church thing as Holly J arrives making a comment. Darcy rebuts however she’s
soon called to the office.
Toby and Liberty also in the café are commenting about
Lakehurst. Liberty teases Toby telling him she feels a podcast is coming on and
tells him that Lakehurst didn’t kill JT. Toby nods but reminds her Johnny was
there and he got off scott free and is at the school now.
Darcy is in the office where Peter is waiting. He tells his
mom that the two of them are dating now. Miss H asks if Darcy’s parents are
okay. Darcy says so long as they exercise chastity it’s all good….. (Bullshit).
Toby confronts Johnny who is so over it. He apologizes for
calling Toby a wiener and for jumping him the year before. Toby tells him to
apologize for JT.
Holly J comments that since Lakehurst’s squad has merged
with Degrassi’s she should be co-captain.
Darcy tells Manny her mom knows about Peter. Manny tells
Darcy she REALLY wants to snowboard.
Helen and Randal are at school to pick up Darcy and Miss H
wants to meet them. They had no clue about the relationship and don’t want
Peter with Darcy bringing up how he drove her home with a suspended license
leaving her stranded in the rain as well as caused her to get stalked by an
online predator. They then blame Peter’s behavior on the fact that he comes
from a broken home…. I just laugh at this because Helen and Randal eventually
break their perfect little home in season ten and while Darcy is in Beverly
Hills err Kenya, Clare is still around and well I’ll leave you with two words….ELI
GOLDSWORTHY.
The next day, Darcy ends up faking sick and staying home
from the retreat….well to her parents and Clare she’s staying home however in
reality she’s forwarding calls to her cell and going on the trip.
Toby makes his angry podcast….
At the mountain, Jane invites Darcy and Manny to a party.
Peter shows up after Darcy called telling him she’d make it worth his while if
he came. There is then a montage of everyone playing in the snow….fun….
Liberty comments to Toby about the podcast.
At the Party, Peter and Darcy find a room and start making
out. Peter gets handsy and Darcy tells him to stop. By worth his while she meant
buying his lift tickets and so she kicks him out calling him a pig
Toby shows up to the Lakehurst hangout to try to talk to
Johnny to mend fences.
Darcy tells Manny about what Peter did as she’s drinking.
She then comments that Manny has no virtue or self-respect causing Manny to
leave. Cut to Darcy waiting to pee leaving her cup on a table unattended a big
no no at a party. Peter who had a beer of his own finds Darcy on the couch. He
asks how drunk she is and she swears up and down she only had one drink. He apologizes
for trying to take advantage of her and admits he’s still a virgin too and he’ll
wait for her. He walks off because he needs to puke and Darcy is just lying on
the couch.
Toby goes to JT’s grave to talk and posts another podcast
less aggressive then the last.
Darcy stumbles into a room drunk and falls onto the bed….to
be continued…..
Part two opens with Peter and Darcy naked in bed. They
wonder if they’ve had sex. Darcy is sure they did but Peter doesn’t think so because
he doesn’t remember it. Darcy wants to go home ASAP and Peter sweetly
apologizes that her first time wasn’t special.
I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH
At practice on Monday, Manny asks Darcy what happened. Darcy
tells Manny IT happened. It was a drunken mistake and it was stupid. She really
doesn’t want it to kill her reputation. Manny tells her every girl is entitled
to a secret….or two….or three.
At University House, Marco asks Alex if she’s slept well.
Alex says the couch was fine though Marco knows she’s been crashing in Dylan’s
room with Paige. Speaking of Dylan, it’s their anniversary and he’s yet to hear
from him.
Danny and Derek ask Peter what’s up with him and he lets
them in on a secret. He thinks he and Darcy had sex…key word THINKS. Kwan’s
class begins and they are reading Scarlett Letter and it’s making me really
wish I made a list of her book assignments and their relationships to the
episodes plots cause wow just wow.
At the Core, Marco is picking up a book and begins to engage
in a conversation with Eric. Ellie and Jesse watch and Ellie want to set them
up. Jesse tells Ellie she’s on her own.
Darcy asks Peter if he’s mad about the party. He’s not and
they agree it’s a one off and he promises he didn’t and will never tell anyone.
Marco comes home after getting an abbreviation laden anniversary
text from Dylan to see Jesse and Eric there. Ellie takes Jesse to her room and
Marco and Eric realize they are being set up. Marco comments he’s still with
Dylan and he’s sorry about the set up.
Peter and Emma are at the Dot when Emma and Manny join them.
Jane shows up with a smirk telling Darcy and Peter to get a room….wait they
did. Darcy is pissed…how did Jane know. She tells them that Danny and Derek are
talking all about it. Darcy is pissed and leaves. Peter follows wanting to apologize,
he tells her he doesn’t think they had sex….that something happened just not
with him, but she doesn’t want to talk….EVER. The next day, Danny and Derek are
trying to get an ashamed Darcy to kiss and tell. Emma and Manny are flogging
her as bodyguards and push them away. Kim then shows up wanting Darcy’s purity
ring telling her that virginity is god’s most precious gift and Darcy just
tossed it out.
Marco admits to Ellie that Eric is cute. Ellie tells him
that Dylan is out of the country for an indeterminate amount of time and Marco
should just move on.
Jane asks Manny and Darcy if they heard about the news that
there was a rufie rapist at the resort drugging girls and sleeping with them.
Darcy starts to have a memory and ends up getting tested for pregnancy and STI’s.
Marco and Eric go on a coffee date and once again Marco is
told he needs to break it off with Dylan and move on.
Darcy is sitting on a swing at the park when Manny shows up
to meet her. Darcy tells her she as Chlamydia. Manny tells her she needs to
tell Peter and she shakes her head. Darcy remembers hazily about the night. She
remembers someone….someone that didn’t smell like Peter. She’s scared and worried
he’ll come back. Manny tells her she needs to tell someone. She tries to tell Helen however she flakes and
the following day at practice Darcy is MIA and Manny can tell something is amiss.
Manny puts Holly J in charge and goes to find Darcy curled up in the shower
with her wrist slit. At the hospital, Peter asks Manny if Darcy’s parents know
about the rape. Manny says no but Darcy needs to tell them on her time table.
Marco is waiting for Dylan to call as Paige is folding up
the inventory from the t-shirt shop that closed down. Dylan calls and Marco
tells him they need to have that talk and he breaks up.
Darcy is with the councilor because she tried to hurt
herself at school. After the meeting she admits to Manny she couldn’t tell her
about the rape yet. Peter and Manny then give her back her purity ring telling
her that rape doesn’t count.
