4x13 Bark at the Moon--recap

 

The episode opens when Spinner is working at the Dot while Manny is watching him. He tells her he needs to step it up for a new manager. Manny comments about the song and it’s her favorite and he comments on it. Manny says that’s why they are friends and Spinner shakes his head wanting them to be officially boyfriend and girlfriend.

WHATEVER IT TAKES

Manny is giving new student Chester (Who only ever appears in like one more episode) the school. Paige and Marco gets called to the office over the PA and Craig pulls Manny aside. He’s had time to clear his head these past few weeks and tells her that he’s made allot of mistakes in the past year but being with her was the biggest and he wishes to go back to that night and take it back to erase their pain.

Paige wonders why she and Marco were called down to the office. Marco says it’s probably because she’s cheer captain and he’s class president however she corners Manny asking for the underclassman to take her place in the meeting. While Manny does this Paige approaches Mr. O apologizing for that night at the bar back in Neutron Dance. Paige brings ‘Charlie’ up and he says they broke up. Paige tells him he’s what her brothers age…a year older and Dylan’s dating Marco.

Raditch tells Marco and Manny he’s not the Principal they are looking for and he’s been re-assigned. Miss H is now the interim Principal who tells the two of them that they need to bring more positive moral to the school and that she’s about to tell JT and Liberty Dracula is back on however she needs them to brainstorm some ideas.

Manny asks Emma for advice and gets a brush off and soon Spinner gives her a Llama from the stuffed animal collection that she talked about in Take My Breath Away. He asks if she’s taken into consideration his question about going official however she thanks him for the llama and walks off to brainstorm with Marco. Manny’s thinking fun fair and field trips but Marco wants a dance. Chester approaches suggesting a dance like his last school….a cupid theme where couples are matched by computer.

Marco and Paige are in Yoga talking about Mr. O and Paige’s feelings for him. Kwan shows up to teach instead of Mr.O.

Chester is showing Manny the interface that’s going to be used to match students…

Boyfriend’s Name—I’m not seeing anyone seriously….though Spinner I’m sure begs to differ and so she has Chester place his name in for fun and they are a match.

She thanks him and walks off with Spinner who’s come to pick her up for lunch. Manny apologizes for being different but promises she’ll be all his at the dance. Spinner can’t come because he’s working and Manny lashes out at him that if he can’t commit to a dance he can’t commit to her…..um sweetie….he does love you he just wants to keep his job.

Raditch is having a goodbye assembly and Marco is chatting to Paige about Mr. O when he gets called to speak and present the principal with a parting gift.

Manny is paired with Danny for the dance and Chester is paired with Darcy…. She goes in to change her answers to be the same as Chester’s so she can be paired with him and in doing so we see she did in fact list Bubbles as her favorite Super Hero and her favorite Band is Jessica Simpson and god I don’t know why this all is amusing me. Anyway she goes to the dance and asks Marco for her match card only to see that Marco changed it back to the way it was. Marco yells at her asking her why she’d do that to Spinner and to stop moving from guy to guy because Spinner really likes her. She smiles and congratulates Darcy and Chester for being paired before cutting in because she’d owed Chester a dance from earlier in the episode when he gave her the theme idea.

Paige gets her match and it’s Mr. O which is weird because he’s a teacher and didn’t participate.

Spinner shows up at the dance and tells her he can wash dishes anywhere but there is only one her. She calls him out telling him that he’s on the rebound and that this relationship is just filler. Then Chester shows up with a drink for Manny causing a jealous Spinner to walk out. On the dance floor Manny dances horribly embarrassing Chester who walks away.

Paige and Mr. O are going at it and Paige says he either likes her or he doesn’t. It looks like they are about to kiss when Manny walks by. They pull away and soon Mr. O walks off.

Chester is sorry for being embarrassed by Manny’s dancing and walking off. They kiss and she tells him she’s sorry. He’s a nice guy but….well….she has a boyfriend.

Paige follows Mr. O out of the school she understands if he doesn’t want a relationship with her and he kisses her. He says they can’t get caught but they have to see each other off school property until the end of term when he’s not her teacher anymore.

Manny goes to find Spinner and she tells him that she was hurt from Craig and doesn’t want to feel that way again and she wants him to promise that he’ll never hurt her and break her heart. He promises and they kiss and become a couple….
