14x06: (You Drive Me) Crazy

The episode opens as Maya is having a nightmare of Miles jumping off the catwalk as his depression is reminiscent of Campbell her first boyfriend she couldn't save...though if by now you have seen next class season 3 (or to me season 16A) it makes for an interesting character study bullet point. Zig comes into her room and she tells him she's so anxious she hasn't had a full nights sleep in days and so Zig sings her a lullaby...badly to lighten the mood. She tells him that she needs to get her mind off of Miles and no, listening to Zig's complete works of Kanye West won't cover it.

The next day Maya asks Zoe if she can join the squad as she needs a distraction. Zoe says there isn't a spot on the team but Maya could mix them music. Maya starts to zone out as Miles is MIA and he has been for a while.

Imogen and Jack are having some random conversation about eyeballs and in general are acting cute it's mostly a filler scene though Imogen says she loves Jack

Frankie is talking to Shay and Lola about an assignment but the two other girls can't help but laugh about a meme posted about a non popular classmate Arlene. Frankie needs to make good marks but the other girls can't work cause of cheer practice. They tell her to pair with Hunter cause he's in the class too and he is her twin so he's obligated.

Maya is at the cheer practice looking at her phone and having daydreams about Miles jumping when she should be listening to Zoe and taking notes. She storms out of the gym and Zoe is pissed. Grace and Zig show up and Zig tells Grace that Maya has been stressed. Grace invites Maya to hang out with them to destress.

Frankie sits with Hunter who says she hasn't sat with them since May of sixth grade and tells her how he'd rather spend the rest of his life alone then to have friends who threw him under a bus like Lola and Shay did to her and he'd rather see the squad die in a fire then help them like he'd be doing if he shared his notes with Frankie. He gets up to get a drink and Frankie digs on his laptop to look for the notes only to find a disturbing comic about cheerleaders being murdered instead.

Imogen didn't mean what she said...okay she did but Jack isn't obligated to say it back...Jack doesn't say it back in fact she wants to break up. It's not that she doesn't like being with Imogen it's just she's not into monogamy and never meant to make things serious. Imogen tells her she's fine with them dating multiple people at a time even though she's clearly not.

For those of you who guessed smoking pot was the destresser Grace had in mind you'd be wrong as was Maya who thought this...Grace and Zig take Maya to a Thi Chi class in the park before Grace opts to hack into his account. Maya is freaking out cause Tristan texted asking how he was feeling and Miles response was he wanted to kill himself. They leave the park and break into Hollingsworth Manor where Maya finds Miles passed out on the couch. Miles said he had a head-cold and felt like crap and calls her out for her hacking. Tristan enters with soup and tells Maya to back off of his man and stop acting like a crazy stalker. Zig has to drag her kicking in screaming.

Winston asks Frankie why she's been silent...she shows him Hunter's comics and asks what she should do. Winston says she should call the police or at least show Simpson.

Imogen enters the Dot asking how Eli is doing, Eli hates his life and Imogen comments how the Clare/Drew baby drama must be doing a number on him. She then propositions him as she is now poly amorous and since he is the only person other then Jack she likes she wants to date him however not have sex. She tells him about Jack's stance on monogamy and she admits she doesn't want polyamory she just wants Jack. She sees that Jack posted a picture of her and another girl on socials and shes jealous.

Frankie and Winston go into Hunters room trying to find more evidence to see if he has a plot attack real people. They find the last panels and see that Hunter's comic alter was killing the cheerleaders to rescue a princess who looked like Arline. Hunter shows up and asks why she is invading his privacy and once again tells her she should do her own work.

Imogen shows up at Jack's dance studio and tells her she loves her and she will fight for her. The moment is awkward as Jack was teaching a kids class and so Imogen leaves.

Maya is still freaking out about Miles especially since he blocked her as she's flipping out Zoe comes to confront her about not doing the cheer music however she doesn't here Zoe and goes into a full blown panic attack

Imogen shows back up at the Dot at closing time to tell Eli about he horror show that happened when she confronted Jack. Eli tells her love is an illusion and she tells him she hopes he doesn't have plans as all she wants to do is binge watch something until her eyeballs fall out of her head. Her cell rings however and it's Jack, Jack admits that Imogen is right, she's just scared of commitment but she is willing to risk a commitment if it means not loosing Imogen. Imogen tells Eli she needs to go and heads off to meet Jack.

Maya has the nightmare again and Zig shows up in her room again. Zig tells Maya she needs help and Maya agrees and she says she'll talk to her mom in the morning.

Frankie ditches her friends in class to sit with Arliene as a means to push her and Hunter together.
