13x33 My Hero|

 |
While the last episode had my DVR cutting off the last few moments this one cut off the entire cold open….so

WHATEVER IT TAKES

Maya and Zig are in the kitchen and Zig is practicing on caramelizing onions and he plans on doing that at the restaurant that night however Zig is supposed to meet his mother. Maya asks why he was kicked out and he says how he’d been selling pot from the store and she didn’t know until one night a man with a gun came to collect and Zig wasn’t there but his mom and younger brother (future character perhaps?) was. He doesn’t think she’ll ever forgive him. Maya asks if she should go for support but Zig needs to go at it alone.

Dallas is excited because he and Drew got an A- on their business report however that’s not the only celebration. Connor got early acceptance into Cal Tech. Drew then laments he never even applied to schools and was banking on the internship to open doors. Dallas then suggests that they can turn their party planning business into a real business. Drew brushes it off as kids’ stuff.

Becky approaches Grace in the hall wanting her to hack into her man’s profile so she can know who he is. Grace refuses because the security is fort knox tight and she doesn’t want to get arrested. She then suggests Becky ask for a picture though Becky suspects he can always catfish her and so Grace then suggests to have him write ‘Me’ on a piece of paper so she knows it’s not a fake.

Imogen wants to interview Drew about cafeteria food however instead he ends up venting to her about Hollingsworth and Dallas.  She tells him that without just cause he can’t be fired and Drew is ecstatic. As he leaves Becky comes in ecstatic in her own right as the blurry photo she received proves that her online guy isn’t a pervy creep. They call Winston over to look at the picture and he’s quick to identify it as Hunter and says he’s most likely gaming in the resource center at that very moment. So he’s not British…he’s a niner…Becky is so the creepy old perve.

Zig is on his way to meet his mom however he can’t seem to get himself to go through with it.

Drew shows up at the Hollingsworth’s asking Miles where his dad is and getting directed to where he is. Drew is told he shouldn’t be there however Drew just wants to talk. He didn’t do anything wrong and it wasn’t his fault. Drew pleads before accidently pushing Miles Senior into the pool. On his way out a reporter tells Drew that if there is anything he wants to report to call her.

Becky goes online and tells Hunter’s avatar she knows that he goes to Degrassi too and so she needs to end this as the reason she joined online was to escape from the world around her and she knows that’s why he was there too.

Miles teases Drew for eating alone before telling him to not to call the paper about his dad. He knows about the affair and that Drew knows about it but the less that know the better.

Zig is at the restaurant and gets yelled at for over cooking the onions and is told to go clean potatoes. He’s upset and the boss tells him she knows it’s not personal but to keep the baggage at home as it’s a small kitchen.

Drew meets with Mr. Hollingsworth yet another time to talk and Drew says that the hug wouldn’t have happened if he hadn’t been having the affair in the first place. He’s offered a payoff but Drew doesn’t want money just a recommendation.

Becky is playing the game as its still fun even without Hunter and she’s blocked him so he’ll never find her…except in real life that is. She asks how he found her and he tells her well she said she went to Degrassi and she talked about Jesus allot so he put two and two together. He wants his stuff back and starts flipping out at her. She tells him it’s just a game and he comments her just saying that proves she doesn’t get it.

Drew brings Dallas a piece offering of wings. He admits he’s been an ass and he’s sorry for forcing him to choose sides. He needs his bro… life isn’t complete without Dallas’s ‘D’. He shows Dallas the letter of recommendation and a contact list for them to get their event planning business up if they still want.

Mrs. Novak shows up at the Matlin’s to meet with Zig who has cooked her dinner. She says how she waited but he never came and he admits he was scared she wouldn’t forgive him. She tells him she’s there today.

Drew shows up at the Edwards home to once more tell Clare sorry. Clare understands his thoughts that she wasn’t over Eli and that they did kind of have something. Drew wants to be friends and admits it sucks without her in his life. Clare tells him to come see her in the cafeteria in the morning, her and Alli and Jenna are having a study group.

Becky wants to talk to her mom however she doesn’t want to talk and starts ranting about Luke’s legal fees. Becky then bursts out saying she made out with a boy she didn’t know which gages her mom’s attention. She admits to feeling unloved at home and just wanted someone to care for her. She admits sure it was in a video game but still. She feels like it’s all her fault, she thought she did the right thing…. Her mom says that she’s been wrong for ignoring Becky and that she loves her and that they need to have a united front and she needs to help defend Luke’s innocence because he didn’t do anything wrong.
