13x13 Who Do You Think You Are--Postmortem

 

This episode honestly went way too fast though if I had to I think I'd cut out Dallas's as while good at the end of the day it was pretty much filler.

The main plot and one of the strongest and most likeable plots that the tenners have had was the A plot.

Maya’s written a song and if you read between the lines it’s about how she has walls up since Cam died but she’s starting to strip them down now cause of Miles.

Miles after hearing the song in class (which was that a new music teacher?) asks Maya if she wants to go to a concert with him. She says maybe she’ll get back to him and then later admits to Tristan how her first and only relationship ended tragically and she’s just scared and so she instead would rather focus on music. It’s also worth noting she’s wearing her glasses again and is not a giggly pod! Maya which is a pleasant refresher.

She wants to record herself singing and post it on YouTube (which I’m shocked they could say a name brand social media site) though Zoe has other plans…..

They stress that while said video shot on the West Drive set with one of its co-stars…. Is going to be artsy and tasteful and for the most part it was though for being fifteen in cannon and that age or not much older in real life it could of done without the scenes with her in just a bra and panties…..and I also assume that the scenes where she looks naked from the shoulder up she has a tube top on.

Zoe posts the video online and someone presumably also Zoe set up a face range page with doctored pictures of Maya’s face on nude and semi nude bodies causing people to call her a slut…..

I also liked the line Zoe said about how publicity is publicity and Kim Kardashian started out with a sex tape

Yea she made the sultry video but the face range site is cyber bullying and not called for.

The Dallas plot was like I said filler…. He’s blowing off Drew causing Drew to fail projects when Drew is working his ass off to make better cause he’s getting drunk and hooking up with a different chick each night.

Imogen who has just as much a bro-t-p in my mind with Drew as Clew tells Drew to scare him like the ghost of Christmas Present did in A Christmas Carol. Drew then pays off a girl to tell Dallas she’s pregnant which is a lie because they never had sex. Drew calls Dallas out and Dallas points out he doesn’t get blackout drunk and have sex like Drew did with Katie. Drew shakes his head and pulls he Rocky card and that Dallas needs to get his act together for his son.

Alli is struggling in English and needs to do better with that end of the academic spectrum if she wants to excel in the verbal portion of the SAT and get re-admitted to MIT which is her dream school. She ends up blowing off a date with Leo to study with Clare and Leo tells her she’s selfish because he transferred to TU to be with her and now she’s going to up and move to another country. She tells Clare what he said and wonders if she should just forgo MIT and go to TU instead. Clare tells her that she can have it both ways if she works hard enough and Alli ends up filling out applications to Boston College and some of the many other Boston Universities. Leo is pissed cause he’s not incompetent and he ends up hitting her…..Alli runs off and I can tell this plot is going to heat up next week and being that the abuse angle is the only high point of Leo/Alli I can’t wait  to see it….. Bonus if Dallas gets his shit together and becomes the big dumb hero tying plots together.
