Before you guys get too excited no….this isn’t about some
mad man in a blue box who comes to Toronto and takes an unsuspecting female
character on an epic journey through time and space though that would have been
totally EPIC. Though this episode does kick off Riley’s character arch and
plants the seeds for one of my favorite (non cannon) SLASH ships.
Speaking of…..Riley and Peter are going for a run. Peter
trips and Riley helps him. Riley comments that if he has any guys then he’d go
try out for cross country. They get back to school and Mia says she has some
free time before a shoot and asks if Peter wants to walk her to set. He tells
her no he’s going to go to the meeting and Riley comments about blowing off a
hot model once Mia walks away. Peter comments about how he just got his heart
stomped on by Darcy and doesn’t want to get involved (Spoilers he does and she
leaves him for the CW too) Riley tells Peter he can relate and Peter nods
asking if he has girl troubles too….. (Oh you can’t imagine)
WHATEVER IT TAKES
In science they are doing a lab. Peter asks Danny but he’s
with Jane and Derek is with Bruce. Peter ends up with Riley.
The grade nines are working on a robot for ‘bot wars’ and
the deadline is looming. Alli comments she was reading some kind of article and
asks KC if he wears boxers or briefs making Clare feel crazy uncomfortable. It’s
not her fault that talk about underpants unnerves Clare. Connor comments how
they need to work every night in order to meet the deadline and Alli comments
they should work at Connor’s instead of Clare’s as she’s never been in a teacher’s
house. She then tells Clare that she’s not a prude.
Mia’s shoot was called off and she wants to hang though
Peter has the lab he needs to work on with Riley. Mia asks if she should be
jealous and Peter tells her she should meet up with him and Riley at the Breakroom
later on.
The niners are working on the robot but the motor is
backwards. They’ll need to go in and fix it but first KC wants Connor to show
him the kitchen to get a snack and Clare has to pee. Alli follows her to the
bathroom however she takes a detour into Simpson’s room where she picks up Christine’s
vibrator. Christine catches them (not red handed but still) and says she was a
teenager once and gets their curiosity at being at a teacher’s house.
The boys are playing pool and Mia wonders what it has to do
with their science project and she’s feeling like their third wheel. The next
day Peter is spouting off lame jokes to the guys and Mia asks if she wants to
spend lunch with her. He has plans with Riley but she’s more than welcome. They
aren’t official and this is the first time he’s had real guy friends.
Alli shows up at the school bathroom with the vibrator. She
tells Clare to pretend it’s like a robot and they turn it on in the stall.
Clare drops it and Jane picks it up. They ask if she has one and she comments
not that model and that masturbation is a normal thing. Alli then whispers
asking if Clare’s ever…..
Peter and Riley are in the gym working out and Peter
comments how he and Mia had a fight and so he’s blowing off steam. They end up
skipping and going back to Peter’s to play Wii boxing. The two boys start talking and Riley ends up
giving Peter boxing tips. They start sparring and soon Riley just up and kisses
Peter out of left field.
Peter snags Mia in the hall the next day and is ready to be
official and they make a date to hang out.
The grade nines are in class and Connor accidentally trips
over Clare’s bag when he’s coming back from the board and Clare’s bag starts to
vibrate. Armstrong picks up her bag and pulls out the vibrator asking what it
is. Alli says it’s a robot part but Armstrong isn’t stupid.
Riley and Peter are in science doing their presentation on
how to make electricity with a pickle. Derek teases that Riley made Peter’s
pickle glow. After the bell rings Peter tells Riley they need to talk.
Shep is talking to Clare and Helen about the vibrator in
Clare’s bag. Helen has no clue where Clare got that filth and says how it has to
be planted. Clare tells Helen it’s hers and Shep tells them they need to talk.
Helen is ashamed of the matter asking if Clare is sexually active. She tells
her mom she was just curious as to what it did and everyone else was more knowledgeable
about sex then she was.
Peter tells Mia how Riley kind of kissed him. She asks if
they talked about it and Mia says that he shouldn’t change his opinion on Riley
if he is gay. Peter and Mia then engage in PDA as Riley looks on.
Helen comes into Clare’s room telling her she’s not a bad
person and is sorry she over reacted it was just after what happened to Darcy
she was just over protected. Clare tells her mom she wasn’t going to use the
toy but she is curious about other things and Helen gives Clare THE TALK off
screen.
Peter tells Riley he’s not into guys but if he’s gay then he’s
okay (hums Ave Q) Peter tells him if he needs to talk he’s there but Riley
flips out saying he’s NOT GAY.
Alli tells Clare there is a post about the vibrator incident
on the school blog and Clare tells Alli how she and her mom had an informative sex
talk. Alli’s jealous because her mom would never give her the talk. Holly J
comments to Clare about the sex toy and she tells her Jesus would say masturbation
is normal and if Holly J tried it sometime she wouldn’t be uptight.
Bruce and Derek are teasing Riley and Peter tells him that
he’s going to try out. Riley tells him ‘don’t pull any moves fag’ cause he’s in
self-hate mode right now.
