The start of the triangle
from HELL….yes….I’ve been waiting to relive this arch....not
The episode opens as Craig
and Ashley are having a steamy make out break from studying however Ashley
pulls back. She asks Craig if he loves her but instead of saying he does he
makes a sarcastic jibe at her causing her to sit up saying she needs to do
homework and that Spinner gave her a to do list for Paige’s Party that was
mentioned back in Pride.
Craig show’s up and there
are flowers all over for some fund raiser. Craig watches as Spinner and Paige
engage in PDA and Craig asks him if Paige has ever pulled back before going all
the way. Now I doubt ‘Spaige’ (Spinner + Paige) are actually having sex right
now because I’m sure Paige is emotionally scarred from the rape however it’s
never said weather they do or don’t. Marco however teases about Spinner never
getting past second while Spinner quips that Marco is too busy checking out the
batboy.
Christine says that Simpson
should go home because he’s still all groggy from chemo however it’s too late
to call a sub.
Manny walks by Craig and
Marco in the hall and gives a flirtatious ‘hi’. As she passes Marco comments
how she’s putting it all out there this year. At the announcement that it’s the
last chance to send a rose-a-gram Marco then suggests that Craig sends one to
Ashley to apologize for what happened or rather what didn’t the night before.
Craig gets a rose and tells Liberty he doesn’t need a card then ups it to a
dozen.
Spinner and Ashley are in
the MI lab talking party plans and Ashley comments about how they couldn’t keep
it too late due to her last party remember the one where she took E and lost
friends and alienated people. In the class Ashley receives a dozen roses with
the note ‘Ash you rock XO Craig’ not romantic at all.
Manny asks Sully if he
liked the rose she sent him and asks if he sent her one back. He gives Manny
the rose she gave him back. Manny informs him Craig sent HIS girlfriend a dozen
and Sully says he can’t come to the party.
Ashley is working on Paige’s
cake when Craig comes over. Ashley says she ‘needs to talk’ the kiss of death.
Ashley shows him the note and doesn’t think he’s serious about them and that
they should take a break.
The band not yet known as
Downtown Sasquatch is practicing and they totally still suck. Jimmy and Spinner
leave and Craig tells Marco how Ashley wants to take a break. He got her a
dozen roses isn’t it romantic. Marco says it wasn’t about the roses it was
about the note and he needs to tell her he loves her before he loses her.
The following day at school
Ashley gets a note from Craig saying to meet him at the gym…. Please do enjoy a

Craig and Ashley are
setting up for the party and Ashley asks Craig if he wants to stay over after
the party….just them and some music and the bed….
Christine comes in with nachos
for Simpson who asks if she’s crazy because he’s nauseous. The doorbell rings
and Joey arrives wanting to take Simpson bowling to keep his mind off chemo.
Simpson doesn’t want to go and makes excuses however Christine wants him to PUT
THE DAMN SHIRT ON. They are at the ally when they run into one of their former
classmates and Simpson feels ambushed.
Craig and Spinner are
hiding as they wait for Paige to arrive and Craig confesses how he and Ashley
are about to have sex. Soon Paige arrives and the party is in full swing…everyone
seems happy…well everyone but Manny.
Simpson is telling the
classmate how he hates how this feels and he just wishes it could all end. The
classmate says how he’d killed a kid driving drunk and because of that he used
to feel depressed too but he just focused on something to live for. I’m sure
this B plot would have more relevance to me if I saw the original series.
At the party Spinner is
making sexual hand gestures toward Craig and Ashley who gets pissed. She yells
at him for bragging about it before they did it and that he conned her into
thinking he cared with the song but he doesn’t love her. Craig goes back inside
for his camera before storming out and guesses who follows….Manny. She asks
what happened and Craig tells her he’s messed up again. Manny tells him how
amazing the song was as she overheard it and if it was for her she’d be happy.
The adults arrive back to
Simpson’s and he’s out of his funk. Emma and Christine are happy.
Craig takes Manny to his
garage where he wrote his song and Manny asks if he’ll sing it for her. He does
and then they make out and he starts to unbutton her shirt and I’m betting they
have Sex.
The next day (or Monday I
don’t know when the party was). Manny is telling Emma about her amazing night
but she can’t talk about what ‘happened’ just yet. Manny goes to ask Craig
about what happened and where they stand however Ashley wants to talk too. He
goes to Ashley who tells him she and Paige talked about it and if he’s willing
to give her another chance she really wants to take it and they say I love you…all
while Manny is looking on.
