2x17 Relax Recap

The episodes open with some of the girls at floor hockey try outs. The cuts will be made tomorrow however Miss H who is the coach of the team pulls Liberty aside saying she made a great effort however didn’t make the team but she wants her to manage.

WHATEVER IT TAKES

Emma, Manny, and Kendra celebrate making the team and apologize to Liberty for not making it. Liberty is alright with managing and plans to keep them in line.

Terri meanwhile is reading palms again and looking into the eye of the oracle. They talk about the last time she did that and what happened all the way back in Cabaret. Terri gets a bit passive and Hazel asks what’s up. She replies that Paige’s life line is nonexistent and she’s going to die.

Liberty is in the coaches’ office fantasizing about fame and glory as she’s going through the uniforms or what passes for them for the girl’s team. Armstrong asks how she likes being manager and they get into a dialogue about girls teams vs. boys teams and how boys teams get things because they have boosters because the budget is low. This prompts Liberty to go to Joey to ask to sponsor the team. He claims he can’t because he’s already sponsoring the boys basketball team. HOWEVER if you’ve not been paying attention to the opening theme the past sixteen episodes you’d notice a shot of a girls hockey team wearing Jersey’s saying Jeremiah Motors.

Hazel looking at site about palmistry with Paige and they realize Terri didn’t read Paige’s dominant hand which is what lead to the morbid result she’d gotten. With a smile the girls scheme to milk Paige’s ‘impending death’ for all it’s worth.

The boys tell Liberty to back off Joey that he’s going to sponsor them because girls shouldn’t play sports. Liberty laughs and wants to prove them wrong and sets up a girls vs. boys tournament. Miss H says that they are on their own to train for this and Liberty as manager takes on the reigns as coach. She is dressed in a cape whistle in hand with a novel length training guide and the team is not impressed.

Paige is upset she’s ‘dying’ and coxes Terri to do her book report for her.

Liberty is being a thorn in the teams side as she whips them into shape.

Terri’s breaking out due to stress. She did Paige’s report and barley got to do hers. Ashley overhears Paige was faking it however and soon clues Terri into this tidbit.

At the game Liberty kicks the crowd out and gets JT to run the scoreboards this isn’t fun and games this is WAR!

Paige and Hazel are talking about going out however they run into Ashley and Terri. Ashley says she heard about Paige dying and thinks they should get a second opinion from the oracle just to make sure and she gets called out on her lie.

At the game Manny falls and sprains her wrist however Liberty still wants her to play…the alternates are alternates for a reason…they suck and we need to win. The girls walk out and if they don’t come back they’ll forfeit to the boys. Liberty tells them be pissed at her all they want but prove to the boys girls are just as good of athletes as they are. They go out but Liberty sits out side. They end up losing by one point however Joey decides to sponsor both teams and everyone has a new jersey including manager Liberty
