Much like last season, this one has an ending episode but
then the finale/movie. And like last season this episode will be tagged as the
finale and have the character rank you’ve come to love.
Declan gives Holly J a bracelet and they start to talk. They’ve
been together three months and she’s been on the pill. She loves him and she
thinks it’s the right time for them to make love.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Jane congratulates Holly J about her summer internship and
the two of them are talking. In the conversation it’s casually brought up that
they had sex and Holly J comments to Jane about how she
told Declan that she loved him but him never said he loved her too…. BURN.
Across the hall, Declan is having some drama with Anya and Fiona butting heads
on costume choices though he tells the girls to work it out and heads to Holly
J. Holly J asks if they are on the same page however Declan keeps brushing her
off eventually telling her it’s complicated.
Peter and Chantey are practicing their scene and they are
kissing. Danny is jealous about her kissing another guy….especially since her
whole family will be there. He starts to cough a bit.
Holly J has something to give Fiona to give Declan back and
she asks why Holly J has their grandma’s bracelet. She says he’d planned to give
it to someone special which means he loves her. She then says how it’s hard for
Declan to use his words because the only other girl he said those three words
eight letters to cheated on him moments later. She decides to keep the bracket
and thanks Fiona.
Peter is practicing music for the play as Danny comes into
the room and they talk about Chantey. Peter comments about how he is impressed
that she’s got a three octave range. Danny doesn’t want Peter to kiss Chantey
and Peter says he gets it because when Mia was with the male models he wanted
to sucker punch them.
Holly J has something to say to Declan and vice versa. Ladies
first Holly J understands that he is scared to say the L word and she promises
she’ll never break his heart. Holly J suggests they reprise last night’s
activities but his mom is back.
The play is rehearsing and Peter keeps avoiding it wanting
them to re-rite the kiss. Peter tells
Danny that they won’t cut it but perhaps if he catches the cold that Danny has
then Jane will see it his way. However before Peter can take a sip from Danny’s
bottle, Chantey takes it from Peter thinking it’s his.
Laura comes back and says that she’s been in New York and
Fiona’s bummed she didn’t bring over her summer wardrobe. Laura says she’s got
one better, the family is moving back home to the city and she’s already
re-enrolled the twins into Vanderbilt Prep for Senior Year. Fiona’s on cloud
nine as she never seemed to fit in at Degrassi while Declan’s bummed. And yet
guess which Coyne twin comes back next year. At Dress rehearsal (the next day I
assume because the twins are in different cloths) it’s a disaster and Declan is
just itching for an Advil while Fiona is counting down till they go home and
asks if he told Holly J about the move. He shakes his head saying if he says it
it’ll become real.
Holly J sees Fiona in the computer lab and she asks if she’s
there to say goodbye. Fiona then asks if they talked about things and Holly J
says yea they worked through it….of coarse she means the whole L word thing.
Fiona then brings up the move and Holly J is all WHAT. Fiona tells her yea they
found out last night but Holly J hasn’t talked to him since the day before.
Declan is showing his mom around at sets. He tells her that
Degrassi is the first school in a long time that he’s gotten engaged at and he’s
enjoying having friends and being looked up to by people. He pleads with her to
let him get an apartment and jet back between Toronto and New York every other
weekend however he’s turned down. This is the first time in a long time that
the family will all be together in the same place and she wants them to have a
normal life. Though HEY yea, Fiona….never mind (and sometimes I wonder if
Landon had never booked Tera Nova if Laura would of said otherwise or if Takes
Manhattan and Boiling Point would of gone differently.) He then tells his mom
he loves Holly J. Holly J comes into the room and simply tells Declan to break
a leg as director and gives him a hug.
Danny tells Peter its fine, do the kiss he’ll just close his
eyes however Chantey is sick. The boys explain about how they’d wanted Peter to
get sick but Chantey doesn’t want to hear it. Jane’s going on in her place.
Declan sends Holly J’s internship reel to someplace in New
York thus making him MIA for the first act. Holly J starts making the calls
when Declan shows up with seconds to curtain. The play goes on.
Danny asks Chantey the next day at Above the Dot if she’s
feeling better cause when she is he made a few calls and they are going to do a
special encore at the club so Chantey can star.
Spinner asks Declan if he’s going to loiter all day and he
comments about how he’s savoring the last few days with his girl. Holly J
comments saying Sizzle Teen frowns upon interns with entourages and asks if
Spinner hired a replacement waitress yet. Her cell soon buzzes with a message
from TVM (an in-verse parody of MTV) she’s got an internship and Declan
comments how he sent them her demo so now she can spend the summer in NYC with
him.
