Holly J is gushing to Leia about some sale at the mall. Leia
tells her she can’t cause Sav and Anya had a fight. Holly J rolls her eyes
saying he’s going to apologize any moment and like clockwork Sav shows up
singing the ‘Anya’ song. Holly J asks if they can still go to the mall cause
she’s been saving up her paychecks for weeks but the two couples are now going
to go for Ice Cream. Holly J can be a third when but it’s two for one cones so….
WHATEVER IT TAKES
They are in Economics or something that has those kind of
assignments and they need to do a business proposal….solo or in teams. Blue
makes a snide comment about Holly J (which I don’t think I mentioned back in
the season premiere or not that Blue’s hair is short and Holly J doesn’t have
the high pony anymore) saying that there is no I in team. Holly J counters this
saying but there is in Bite Me. Jane is impressed and asks for a high five.
Holly J then asks if Jane wants to be her partner after all they are the only
girls in the class and they are two of the smartest girls in the school. A partnership is made and they plan to meet at
the Dot after school.
Dave goes up to Danny telling him how great the band is.
Danny says thanks and when Dave introduces himself he’s told Welcome to
Degrassi….thing is, while he’s a fresh face to cannon at this point he’s not so
new to the school and he makes this known to cousin Chantey. A whole semester
and nobody knows who I am aside from the fact that my name starts with a D. He
wants her to talk him up….make him noticed. She tells him he may be the life of
family gatherings but he needs to do his own thing for her blog to notice it.
Declan sees Jane asking if she wants to have a romantic
lunch with him, She tells him shhhh not at school and he comments not at
school, or near Spinner, when can they be together. They end up sitting in the
quad together but not really together as they independently read.
Anya approaches Holly J at the end of the day saying that
Sav is watching some Soccer game and ditched her so she wants to hang out.
Jane, who is with Holly J suggests Anya find her own ‘soccer game’. Holly J
agrees she needs to find something non Sav related.
At the Dot, Jane and Holly J are trying to figure out what
they should do….shopping, coffee, soon however an influx of mommies and babies
show up and Jane gets the idea for a babysitting company. They’d be agents,
getting clients and then training the younger girls to sit for them all while
making a 20% (30% on holiday) profit and a shiny A+….cut to a montage of them advertising
and pitching their ideas.
After all this, Holly J is doing a big no no of texting and
driving as she’s heading to school. She’s commenting about how Leia asked to
bring Danny with her to sit and why is it when a girl gets a boyfriend they get
stupid…. Present company excluded. Her
cell rings again and Jane tells Holly J to break but it’s too late cause Declan
backs into them. He tells them not to worry about it. It’s the government’s car
and he can totally get it fixed. Holly J has stars in her eyes as Declan talks
and it seems that perhaps she wants a new boy toy after all.
Dave has come up with some juicy gossip for Chantey to print
but Chantey tells him he’s lame. Dave shakes his head wanting to prove her
wrong and he soon pulls the whole Mentos and coke gag. Bruce harasses him and
Danny and Sav say whomever takes down Bruce will be a god.
Jane and Holly J are in a childcare type of class as Holly J
is talking about Declan. He’s on the swim team she thinks and he was totally
cool with the car and yea….Jane can totally tell that Holly J likes him……she
thinks he’s gorgeous she wants to kiss him she wants to double date with Jane
and Spinner….Alli interrupts their girl talk saying she has to bale on her job
but Jane says she’ll cover it.
Dave fills a water bottle with his piss and starts pouring
it over Bruce’s locker however before he can get away Bruce catches him and
spills the pee onto him.
Holly J is making fancy sandwiches cause she plans to
surprise Jane at the babysitting job. She tells Spinner how cool Jane is and
how she gets why she likes her. Spinner comments how nice it is for her to have
a girlfriend.
Declan shows up at Jane’s job shortly before Holly J who
catches him making out with Jane…..awkward….. The next day Jane tells her how
they are tripped up for the weekend and that Jane’s already got things lined up
and that anything else Holly J wants she can do….including Declan the guy Holly
J just told her she liked.
Dave is sneaking around after the stunt he pulled on Bruce
however a fedora and trench coat don’t stop Johnny from telling him Bruce wants
to meet him in the ally afterschool.
The girls are finishing interviewing Jenna and Jane points
out about Holly J always falling for the guys she likes and to not deny that
she had that thing for Spinner cause he told her all about it. As they are
going at it they are collecting money from other sitters like Alli and Clare.
Holly J decides she’s going to quit. She’d rather take a B then deal with Jane’s
BS. Declan slips beside Jane and comments how that’s intense and if she wants
to talk….thanks but no thanks.
Dave is doleing out his personal belongings to Chantey…..Bruce
is going to kill him or at least maim him to the point of having to change his
name and transfer to Bardell without anyone knowing him….well that’s what he
thinks as Alli approaches asking if he’s the dude that peed on Bruce’s locker
and that everyone is talking about it and praying Bruce doesn’t murder him. Chantey
offers to walk him home but Dave wants to fight.
The teacher has read all the proposals and is passing out
copies of Holly J and Jane’s business (which Jane typed out and turned in on
their own) and says how that set the bar for the class. Jane tells Holly J that
they are great together and should put the drama aside.
Dave shows up for the fight and tells Bruce that they can
break the cycle of violence. Bruce doesn’t want to fight and just tosses a pee balloon
at him calling him even….hey at least people will know Dave’s name.
Jane tells Holly J how she and Declan have been doing what
they’ve been doing for weeks but she’s still in love with Spinner. She likes
that he doesn’t just treat her like one of the guys. Holly J says if you choose
Spinner then Declan will bounce back (and to Holly J wink wink) but if she
picks Declan Spinner will be heartbroken (or he’ll be that way if you pick Spin
but then he finds out about your liaison anyway at a later date) Holly J tells
her she works with spinner and can only keep quiet for so long so she better
break it off with Declan which it seems she does.
Danny calls Dave the man and the bullies even acknowledge
him in the hall….in a positive way. Chantey wants to blog about him but he says
he’s booked but she can pencil him in.
Holly J walks over to Jane at the Dot asking if Jane called
off you know…Spinner asks for what and she says it’s girl talk. A woman walks
up asking if they are booking for New Years and Holly J hands her a card and
says to shoot them an e-mail….um….wow….you are booking that far in advance
considering this is probably already mid-late January in cannon. Holly J asks
if Jane is okay and she nods though she worries Spinner will find out someday.
Holly J says not from her (but I think that’s how Spinner does hear it unintentionally
though I could be wrong cause I tend to repress Manhattan)
