Drama class… it’s not a bird class. Anya suggests Pippin
while Declan suggests something sexy like Chicago. Jane comments on his choice
and he asks what does she want Mama Mia? She calls him condescending. He asks
if she has a passion for drama. She says onstage yes off stage not so much….well…it
sucks for him
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Jane is helping Spinner with the breakfast shift as Manny
asks why he doesn’t hire extra help. Spinner comments that why pay someone when
Jane does it for free and her and Manny soon start chatting about like they are
best friends. The boys (Spinner and Jay) wonder why they are suddenly so close.
They have 52 Facebook friends (and it’s fairly amusing how they keep flip-flopping
from Real Life site Facebook to its in-verse doppelganger face range depending
on the season/episode) Manny walks Jane to school commenting that she loves the
walking and hates the cold and Jane asks if it’s hard being apart from Jay.
Manny lets out a little laugh as Jane comments how despite Spinner being out of
Degrassi they are joined at the hip. Declan soon walks by saying hi and Manny
asks who that was. She explains it’s Declan and he’s in her theater class.
It’s freshman take your kid to work day and KC is at the
school alone bored hanging with the councilor. She tells him that she has some
photo copies he can make but he just wants to sit and read.
Spinner has taken up Peter’s old lease on the loft so now it’s
his. They are hugging and Declan smiles….Jane and the DOT guy he’d never of
guessed. Jane introduces Declan as a classmate before asking if Declan wants to
get together to work on the show for class some more.
KC’s in the gym playing basketball when ‘Coach Carson’ the
new JV coach joins him. KC explains he has no parents to be working with and
the coach takes him under his wing to see if he can’t move from the bench to
the starting lineup.
Jane is watching Spinner pack as she sends a mass text about
a housewarming party. Seconds later, Spinner is offering her the role of lead
singer in Studz. She comments how intense it is being in the band. Spinner
comments how she hangs out with him all the time and she’s practically one of
the guys. She flashes a half smile and adds Declan to the mass email. He gets
the E-vite and shows up at he party. Before they talk Danny pulls her away.
Declan asks if she’s their rodie or something….. or something indeed and soon
she’s singing with the band all the while making eye sex with Declan while
Spinner drums behind her. After the show she asks how she did and she comments
about the lyrics and it clicks…..let’s make a jukebox musical with songs from
Degrassi bands. Declan offers to walk her home but Jane declines and soon the
house clears out. Spinner complements how she took the band up to eleven before
taking her to the bedroom to show her something….. it’s a drawer…..hers….he
wants her to move in. He’s not going to the Police Academy and he needs to talk
about the future….their future. She comments about how she plans to go to
school maybe even far away but he still wants this to be theirs. She tearfully
asks for space.
Declan and Jane pitches the musical the following day and are
assigned as the producers while everyone else has to write proposals about what
part they want. Jane and Manny then talk about how she’s confused with the hall
Declan thing. There is so much sexual tension with him but Spinner helped her
through her drama when she recovered her memories about her dad…Manny comments
that Spinner may be supportive but he hasn’t given her butterflies.
The JV team is about to get ready for the team and KC is benched
again….
Declan calls Jane cause he wants to talk about her playing
footsie with him in class. He thinks she’s smart and cute and he respects she’s
taken but wants her to come over to work on the musical….she agrees… as
professionals.
KC is called off the bench and onto the court
Jane preps for her ‘date’ with Declan.
KC bombs on the court and flips out.
Jane goes to the Dot to tell Spinner how the rock opera was
green lit and that she wanted him to know she was going to be with Declan to
work if it’s okay. Spinner says it’s okay.
Connor tells KC that the coach wants him back out. KC says to
yell…. His dad used to yell….he’s done.
Declan gives Jane the grand tour of casa de Coyne showing off
all his travel photos. Jane then points out it’s been two hours and they’ve yet
to work. He tells her he has a keyboard in his bedroom and she calls him out
about how subtle he is and asks why they aren’t at the library. He tells her he’s
going to kiss her in five seconds however as he counts down she grabs him.
KC is packing up in the locker room and apologizes for the
mess. The coach tells him he has a tough life he gets it but he’s not letting
KC go that easy and that he’s there for him if he wants to talk about
basketball, school, anything.
Manny tells Jane break up tips. Don’t mention the other man,
no hugging….Jane then goes to the Dot to do the deed. He tells her to do it
quick….Jane ends up backpedaling saying that she can’t move in…. a toothbrush,
a change of clothes maybe but that’s all. They hug and Declan arrives at the
Dot asking if they are on for working after school
