This episode was all but grating to
watch and once you hear the subplots you’ll understand why.
The episode opens as Mr. P is taking
over teaching MI at least for the period since Simpson is still out and it was
his free period. He looks at Simpson’s lesson plans and assigns a four person
how to assignment. Peter asks Danny and Derek to work with them since Darcy is
away for the week. I’m going to assume due to the timing she was out in Cali
auditioning for the CW lets just be real here. They propose doing their how to
about picking up chicks and Peter laughs. He bets that the boys can’t get past
Hello with Rachel a Lakehurst transfer girl with no significance past this
episode. They end up coaxing Rachel to be the fourth of her group.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
The group begin to prep and Rachel
is shocked they are seriously wanting to do a how to about picking up girls and
she soon nudges them to change it to how to shop for a girl. She comes off as
flirty while she suggests this and Danny and Derek totally are taking notice.
Derek then invites her to hang out after school and she says yes.
Emma tells Manny not to meet up with
Jay for lunch because Emma is feeling weighed down with the drama from Simpson’s
scandal. Manny reminds her that the accusations are false Darcy even said as
much yet it doesn’t stop Johnny and Lucas from picking on Emma about it once
Manny leaves. Damian fortunately steps in as her night and shining armor.
Danny, Derek, Peter and Rachel are
at the Breakroom and Danny and Derek declare bros before hoes and never to let
a girl especially Rachel come between them.
They go to some Victoria Secret type
of shop either later or the next day and talk to the manager about wanting to
film. She tells Derek a time and comments that she’ll be keeping an eye on
Derek’s ‘Homeboy’ AKA Danny. Oh look….we’re getting a racism plot though it’s
hard to take it seriously with Danny and Derek having it cause you know….it’s
Danny and Derek. Danny overhears the comment and is all WHAT THE HELL but Derek
thinks the lady is being funny and soon changes the conversation to wanting to
charm Rachel into a bra with his powers of being a closer.
Simpson and Christine are talking
about the case against Simpson and the worst case sinario. They ask Emma to
pick up Jack the day they are meeting with the lawyer and they mention that
Manny can’t come into the house while the case is going on. So thankfully she
moved back home or else I’m sure there would have been more drama huh….
Peter has a new camera for the
project and he’s testing it out by filming Derek asking Rachel out. Rachel
rejects him saying she wants to focus on the assignment. Derek goes to Peter
and is trying to get him to delete footage as Rachel asks Danny on a date.
Emma gets a C in chemistry because
she can’t focus with the drama at home. Damian gives her a book to read to
inspire her by his favorite writer….um Damian nice gesture sweetie but if Emma
is too fucked up to get a good grade she’s got no time for pleasure reads.
Derek tells Danny they need to kick
Rachel out because she stabbed him in the heart. He finds out Danny was with
Rachel on a date and so he tells him that the only thing he’s good at is
stealing cause he stole the girl. He asks Mr. P if he can transfer groups and
Mr.P comments that Rachel is their YOKO and there are a few Beatles puns made.
Manny wants to know what Simpson’s
cooking for dinner but Emma informs her that she’s banned from coming over and
how she was on the phone all night with Damian.
At the shop, Danny is told by the
owner ‘okay gangster’ film your stuff then go. They film and Rachel is saying
how you should get a girl a cute cami or PJ set while Derek is saying crotch less
panties are he way to go….ewwwww.
Damian meets up with Emma at a dog
park ad they kiss. Emma then calls out to a dog which is named after Damain’s
favorite writer. She said she found him on Craigslist and he was free to a good
home. It can be theirs….like a child. Damian is all whoa that escalated quickly.
Peter tells Derek to get over it
however he ends up planting the panties in Danny’s bag as a joke as Peter
films.
Emma comes home as her parents are
talking to the lawyer and she breaks down telling her how much this whole
situation sucks for her just as much as her dad. Oh and also she has a dog.
Rachel and Danny go to leave the
store and the woman searches his bag and finds the panties. She comments ‘you
people always have some scam’ and starts to call security however Danny and
Rachel run for it. Rachel tells him he doesn’t have to steal to impress her. He
tells her he’s not a thief but she comments he runs like one. At the Dot Derek
asks what Danny thought about the prank and Danny tells him that the raciest
manager called the cops.
Damian asks Emma about the dog and
she tells him Snake loves him. He’s also not put off by Emma’s acting #CRAY
Derek shows presentation about how
to loose friends and alienate people. They get a C+ and Derek and Danny
somewhat reconcile.
