The episode opens as Emma and Chris
are in class. Chris asks if Emma’s done the reading assignment for English and
Emma nods. Armstrong asks if Emma can do an assignment however she’s distracted
by Sean and his new girlfriend Amy getting all handy in the back of the room.
WHATEVER IT TAKES…..
It’s the next morning and Christine
is showing Emma the new/used laptop she got for Simpson’s birthday to replace
the one that was stolen a few episodes back in Gangsta Gangsta which must have
been at least a couple months ago. Emma starts backing up files as she’s asked
if she’s going to invite Chris. Emma’s unsure as he just broke up with his
girlfriend and she’s asked if that’s the only reason. Shaking her head she
tells her mom she’s over Sean.
At school JT and Toby are talking
about Sean and Amy’s PDA when Emma arrives saying it’s alright that they talk
she’s over him. They talk to her about the rumors about Sean being in Jay’s
gang and how it’s curious that Simpson’s laptop went missing just after they
broke up.
Hazel, Spinner, Jimmy, and Paige are
studying for their drivers test.
Emma and Ashley are in one of the
labs and the DVD player is missing. Emma approaches Jay and Sean asking if they’ve
seen it and Sean is shocked Emma would even think he stole it. Chris asks what
is wrong and Emma says she’s trying to remember what she saw in Sean. Chris
tells her he’s hardly worth remembering and asks her on a date. She says yes.
The grade tens are waiting for the instructor
to arrive and it’s not the crotchety old woman they’ve heard stories about but
instead it’s a highly attractive male and Paige has stars and harts in her
eyes. Paige gets in the car and he’s
telling her what she should and shouldn’t do and if this was the test she’d of
failed.
Emma and Chris are at the Dot having
shakes when Sean shows up. Chris asks if they should leave and Emma says she’s
not going to let Sean ruin the date until she sees Sean and Jay stealing candy
and she confronts them. Walking home Emma invites Chris to the party when Jay
pulls up saying how they were banned for life (which must not be long as Jay
and Sean visit the diner in later episodes) Jay pretty much admits he stole the
laptop.
At home Simpson is on the used
computer and it blue screens out and Simpson complains how crappy it is but it’s
the best they can afford since he lost the old one. Emma says what if it wasn’t
lost. At school the next day Emma tells Chris how she wants Sean to own up to
what he and Jay did.
Jimmy and Spinner arrive in class
teasing Paige for being a pylon killer in drivers ED. Hazel teases that Paige
is distracted because the teacher is hot.
Emma’s getting something from her
locker when photo of her and Sean falls out. Picking it up she pouts and soon
follows Sean who is holding a cardboard box (of shop parts) hoping to find
something. He tells her he’s sorry their break up sucked but he’s moved on.
They continue to tease Paige about
her driving and Hazel brings up that Paige thinks the teachers attractive in
not so many words causing Spinner to walk out.
Chris and JT are in the computer lab
and JT says that Sean and Emma had a history and he’d hate to be her new
boyfriend. Emma arrives telling Chris the laptop may be gone but she’s going to
track down the DVD player and so they go to Raditch saying they saw Jay and
Sean loading suspicious equipment into Jay’s car.
Spinner is behind the wheel at
drivers ED. Spinner calls Paige teacher’s pet and rags on the teacher leading
him to crash into a cardboard cutout of an innocent family and another test
car.
The cops search Jay’s car and find
nothing however Sean looks at Emma and snaps at her for being the tip saying
how she knows that she was the one to tip the cops off about things and how she
knows he has a record. When the principal asks what’s up Sean tells him to go
to hell landing him Saturday Detention for two months and foreshadows an
upcoming episode.
Emma’s excited Sean has detention
and he’s finally going to pay for what he did to her….Simpson she meant
Simpson. Chris calls her out saying she’ll never be over Sean.
At Simpson’s party he comments
asking if her new boyfriend is coming over to the party. She says that she blew
it and Simpson says if he’s worth it he’ll come to his senses.
Paige arrives at the Dot and Spinner
tells her how all his money is going to fix the student driver car. They’ve
switched back to the other teacher and Paige tells him she only has eyes for
him.
Emma tells Chris that she thinks he
should give him another chance and that she’s over Sean and just needed some
closure because he broke her heart and that Chris should come over for leftover
cake. He agrees and they get together.
