Anya is out with Owen at a club. She’s not feeling things
however when Owen offers to take her home she says she doesn’t want to leave.
The mandatory graduate exit meeting with Simpson is tomorrow and if she doesn’t
tell her parents she failed to get acceptance into her first and only choice
school the principal will gladly do it for her. Owen tells her maybe it won’t
be so bad but Anya says her mom is her best friend and they tell one another
everything. Bianca shows up with a few friends and they ask if Anya and Owen
are interested in snorting a line. Anya asks if Owen has ever tried and he says
no and he’s not going to cause he’s got an early hockey practice however Anya
asks if it’s okay if she tries. Owen says he’s not her mom and she can do what
she wants and so she trips out.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Fiona wakes up and looks around for Charlie who is coming in
with breakfast. She’s had a hard time adjusting to sleep in her new place as
she’s used to the subway lines running nonstop. Fiona says she’ll get used to
things and presents her with her on fob so that she doesn’t have to awkwardly
ask the doorman to buzz her in. Fiona asks her agenda and Charlie says she’s
got morning class then work then work at a homeless shelter…..homeless shelter….like
with homeless people? Fiona then hears a mewing sound and Charlie introduces
Fiona to her cat Mr. Tuxedo Pants.
Owen tells Anya she looks like crap and asks how his
practice went. He tells her he’s gearing up and looking good for a tournament
and Anya says how aside from coming down from her high she had the worst
breakfast ever and now her mom is in the car re-applying her mascara just for
Simpson to tell her how Anya didn’t live up to her full potential. Anya admits
how last night she felt on top of the world and now she feels at her lowest.
Owen tells her maybe coke wasn’t a good idea. Anya and Pam are in the meeting
with Simpson and her mom is more mad that Anya only applied to one school then
the fact that she didn’t get into it. Simpson says he’s talked to the councilors
and there is a slim chance that she can get into another school.
Conner’s trying to move past panty-gate by helping Wesley
and Hannah with a mobile ap for a contest. Here’s an ap idea for you guys….what
if there is an ap that yogurt shops can make which will let its customers know
what flavors are on tap that day…..it’s not plot relevant but I just really
want one and if one exists I need it like I need air.
Anya doesn’t know how she can get her new application done
in time and Holly J comments that she’s bummed Anya can’t play in the game.
Anya says how she’s drained and to not judge her but she’s taken coke. Holly J
tells her to not let Owen drag her down and Anya tells her he wasn’t the one
who told her to do it. Holly J then says how this late in the game chances that
Anya will get in and not waitlisted or rejected are rather slim thus amping up
her nerves. Fiona shows up asking what it’s like living with the most wonderful
girl on the planet and Anya leaves while she continues to wax poetically all
about Charlie to Holly J. Fiona tells Holly J how her mom doesn’t know yet but
when she finds out how happy she is then she can’t say no. Fiona mentions the
cat as she scratches her arm and Holly J asks if she could be allergic…perish
the thought.
Owen asks Anya if she wants to spend time with him pre-tournament
however she’s only three lines into her essay and needs to finish it. Anya
tells him it’s her last chance and Owen says schools don’t care about silly
little essays and that she should just call the dean and tell them first hand
her story. She helped her mom get through her radiation and it’s more personal
then written words.
Eli says how they should open the play with a song to
showcase the theme….Fiona comments like a theme song and asks about Fiona’s
itching. She says she thinks she’s allergic to the cat however Eli says it
looks like bug bites and it’s revealed that there are bedbugs.
Anya can’ believe Owen’s idea to call the admissions board
worked and she’s landed an interview with the dean. She thanks him for being
the only one that believes in him and as they are waiting for the volleyball tournament
he asks if she wants to hang that night before he goes to play hockey. Holly J
calls her over and she tells her about the interview.
Conner is talking to Simpson about an app to help pick out
outfits much like that opening scene of Clueless with the system rigged up in
Cher’s closet. Simpson loves the idea and it’s green lit. While the volleyball
game is going on however, Conner heads into the girl’s locker room and starts
snapping pictures of girls’ clothing as Alli comes in. Conner quickly runs out.
An exterminator shows up at the loft and tells Fiona that
she does have bedbugs. They can help with the cleaning and steaming and she
asks where they came from cause she’s a neat person….she then realizes that
Charlie must of brought them in.
The Volleyball Game is going on and once more Holly J is
telling Anya how she can do so much better then Owen causing Owen to spray
water on Holly J.
Fiona is cleaning out her apartment and ignoring Charlie’s
calls.
Anya and Owen go back to the club again and Anya asks why
Owen isn’t dancing. He tells her if she wants to have fun why not call Holly J.
He mocks how she is controlling Anya saying how Owen is scum and says how she’s
giving her false hope about getting into college cause she’s going to bomb if
she keeps listening to her friend.
Charlie comes home and sees Fiona trashing things and she
says how she’s got bedbugs at the loft and blames Charlie for them when it
could of come from anyone. She used to live above a subway and works with the
homeless so she has to be dirty. Charlie rolls her eyes saying she’ll just go
shower and sleep in the tub.
Anya goes into the ladies room and sees Bianca and her
friend. Anya vents to the girls about Owen and Holly J and how they keep going
at it with one another and she’s the monkey in the middle. Everyone knows what’s
best for her except for her and she ends up taking another coke line.
Fiona’s steaming things and Charlie tells Fiona her ex roommate
has no bedbugs. Fiona says that if they are going to live together they should
get to know one another. Charlie says about how her parents are divorced….she
became estranged for a bit and lived on the street before reconnecting with her
mom. Her mom now pays for Charlie’s school while she works to pay for day to
day expenses. Fiona explains how she’s a diplomat’s daughter and has moved from
place to place but how Toronto seems like home. She gets a call and when she
hangs up Fiona wants to apologize….the bedbugs came from her mom and they are fumigating
in New York as she speaks.
Owen sees Anya and apologizes for throwing shade at Holly J
when he realizes she had a bathroom coke party. He’s over it and leaves her
with Bianca and her friend. …..TBC
It’s the next morning and Anya is splashing some water on
her face trying to come down. Pam asks her how her essay writing went last
night and she says it went and her mom comments how she didn’t think the Dot
was open that late. She then goes all Sarah Michel Geller in cruel Intentions
and puts the coke in her necklace.
I KNOW I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH
Owen’s heading off to play hockey as Anya is trying to apologize
but it’s too little too late. He tells her she’s not the cute sweet smart girl
he thought she was and it appears he’s dumping her before getting on the bus.
Holly J asks what she was doing last night and she says she was prepping for
her interview. Holly J says how the
interview process was the most grueling 45 minutes of her life and so Anya asks
for tips.
It’s announced on the PA that the incident of the person
trolling the girl’s locker rooms yesterday is being investigated and Marisol
and Katie are wondering if the culprit is the pervert that’s been snagging
panties from the room for a while. Katie comments how it could be anyone at the
school. Wesley asks Conner if he hasn’t quit and he says he has an alibi….he
was in the MI lab working on the ap. Speaking of; it is time for them to
present. Miss Oh points out how advanced the ap is an is impressed. Alli
however is not noticing her cloths as the prototype.
Holly J is giving Anya a mock interview. She tells her to
talk about her hardships like her dyslexia and how she helped her mom with
cancer. Anya nods as Holly J asks her bullet point questions like what her
favorite book is.
They did it and are going to the ap finals. Conner leaves
and Alli goes up to Wesley and Hannah pointing out how her grandma knitted one
of the items and it was in the locker room during the volleyball game.
Anya is freaking out and wants her mom to come to the
interview with. Pam however tells her that she has to do it herself. Anya
wonders why she’s not confident anymore and her mom tells her she can do
anything.
Fiona and Charlie are lounging about and since they are
bedbug free Charlie wants to celebrate with a bottle of champagne. She knows
she’s underage but….Fiona stops her saying how amazing Charlie is not wanting
to bring up her rehab stint and instead makes out with her.
Anya goes into the interview where she’s told she should of
brought a copy of her transcript and how officially they are filled up so don’t
get her hopes up. He leaves to get her transcript and she snorts some coke to
gain confidence much like how Manny did when she had the dinner at University
House back in season six.
Simpson confronts Conner about how he snuck into the girl’s
room and pushed Alli over. He says he was taking pictures for the app. He
brings up the underwear stealing and Conner admits it was him but he stopped.
He wants to leave and work on the app and starts freaking out but Simpson soon
clams him down and he apologizes.
Fiona tells Eli how she and Charlie took the next step in
their relationship by telling themselves all about one another….except for one
thing….now Charlie wants to celebrate being bug free with champagne and she can’t
bring herself to tell her girlfriend she’s an alcoholic. I love the rapport her
and Eli have in this scene and splattered through the rest of Fiona’s stint on
cannon….in fact I’d definitely put Eliona (Eli + Fiona) near the top of my G2
friendships list.
Conner and Simpson are with a therapist talking about the
panty snatching. He’s being suspended for it however instead of being a
semester behind he’ll be in some academic behavioral program for people with Asperger’s
to help socialize them.
Anya hasn’t heard from Haskell yet and she’s freaking out with
Holly J in class.
Wesley is worried who he’ll talk about the app and Comic Con
with. Conner tells him he’s got Hannah and besides the program will be good for
him. He hands Wesley his codes for the app and does a few film impressions….Star
Trek and Terminator to be exact.
Charlie made dinner to celebrate and brings with her the champagne.
Fiona tells her she doesn’t want them to change as Charlie pours the drinks.
Fiona then says she’s a recovering alcoholic. Charlie is shocked cause she’s
only seventeen. So she can’t be around alcohol like ever. Fiona says she’s
doing better in fact she can take a sip right now and it won’t bug her. She
takes a sip and knows she should call her mom.
Anya shows up to the dean’s office asking what the status
is. He tells her the news isn’t good. She thought it went well but he says her
person on paper and the person in real life are polar opposites….she seemed erratic
and on drugs when they talked cause you know she was coked up. She thanks him
for his time and walks out only to come home and take another line. Her mom
wants to talk and she lets her in. Her mom picks up the old necklace and asks
if it still has the sand in it….it has something in it. Pam says perhaps they
put too much pressure on her and they can talk about what else Anya can do post
grad….she’s over talking and she heads out despite her mom’s wishes she stays.
Fiona’s sorry that she lied about being an alcoholic and
that maybe she’s not ready to be in a relationship and she’s sorry about it.
Charlie says she’ll move back with her mom in the morning and it was fun while
it lasted.
Anya’s back at the club high as a kite and grinding with a
random
