Drew is sitting in the council office listening to music
and lost in the zone as Clare tells him that if ‘they’ ask about new computers
say they are waiting on the school board however he’s was psyching himself out.
Becky is getting him primped while Clare reminds him he’s getting ready to be
interviewed on the school news and needs to make a good impression of himself.
Clare is rattling off questions to practice and Drew is replying like a pro…he
has this.
Sitting down, Winston begins the interview. We then get
a glimpse of the interview which Winston edited to make Drew look like an idiot
however he’s actually been applying himself. Dallas comments how Drew gave him
the power he can easily take it away and that’s what Drew intends to do.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
It’s Drama or English class sometimes the subjects on
this show are hard to decipher. They are doing warm ups before Townsend starts
assigning monologues and Tristan is hoping to get Hamlet however he is offended
that he’s assigned to read as Bottom from A Midsummer Nights Dream as he wants
to be seen as serious and not for a ‘flamboyant performance’ Townsend’s words
not mine.
Clare is in a room holding old film reels and is excited
cause she just got her hands on a projector. Eli is coming home for the week
and she’s setting up a romantic drive in style date for her film geek
boyfriend. It’s been six weeks since they’ve seen one another and they have
been laxing on their phone calls due to their busy schedules.
Drew and Dallas take away the camera and kick Winston
out and Imogen comments about how Drew’s taking away their rights to free
speech and she plans on walking. Drew tells her to walk.
Clare and Eli are watching the movie or rather Clare’s
watching and Eli is dosing off. Eli’s been working extra hard so he could take
the week off and he’s drained he then admits he’s already seen the movie they
were watching for class. Eli’s phone buzzes and it’s his editor (Lenore) and
Clare tells him to go take the call.
Tristan is working on his monologue in front of Miles
and Maya, Tristan is unamused. Maya laughs cause the scene is supposed to be
funny and then asks what Zoe got. Tristan says the one she wanted (Eliza Doolittle
in case one was wondering). Miles asks why doesn’t Tristan talk to Townsend he
then decides to do that though instead of tell he’ll show that he’s lead
material.
Drew is still planning a Carnival despite the drama
caused on air. Drew tells Clare he took care of things however Winston, Imogen
and others are sitting in protest of Drew’s ignoring their freedom of the
press. Dallas says they are rotating so nobody misses classes and Simpson tells
them that he needs to deal with things by the end of the day or he’ll be
stripped of his presidency.
Tristan does the Bottom Monologue but as Hamlet however
Townsend says if he doesn’t re-do it as comedic he’ll be receiving a zero.
Drew is on the phone with Bianca who is working on a thesis
paper on Margaret Thatcher and Drew is wanting to know more cause it’s making
him think of his own issues.
Clare comments about how she doesn’t know Eli anymore as
on their date she found cigarettes in his bag and she fears that he’s keeping
things from her. Alli tells Clare she has her own secrets like how she blew the
magazine article. Clare tells Alli she should write a dating book and Alli
laughs...’Liars, Cheaters, and Pervs how to pick up a guy the Bhandari way’ I
think I’d love to read that sure to be best seller.
Drew tells Winston and Imogen they can come back on
these terms 1) all clubs get equal air time (done) 2) They can’t portray
student council, it’s events, or him in a negative light. This term they don’t
buy and Winston would rather see Drew be impeached. Drew asks what Winston has
against him and Winston says it’s guys like Drew who pick on him his whole life
and people were idiots for voting him in and the two get in a shoving match.
Tristan is holding a donught eating it with his eyes not
his mouth as Zoe wishes to give him a tip. Zoe tells him to do it as scripted
cause he’ll kill it. Tristan knows he’ll do it but he wants to be a lead and
Zoe says right now you’re showing you don’t want to do anything.
Drew tells Dallas how maybe Winston is right…he is a
screw up and that Bianca doesn’t deserve him. Dallas says no, Drew has changed
and suggests he try to see what the people want instead of the Carnival.
Clare and Eli are together and there is an awkward
moment. Clare asks how long have things been going on. Eli says it was just
once, he missed her so much and was filling a void. Clare rolls her eyes to
yell at the fact that he smoked as a means to get over missing her especially
since you know she just had cancer however it’s clear they were on different
trains of thought. Eli says they are Lenore’s not his. Clare is all Lenore…your
editor before putting two and two together…the just once was hooking up with
Lenore…holy shit (though if you saw Dorm Life you’d know) Clare kicks him out
but Eli wants to talk it out.
Tristan does the monologue the way it was supposed to be
done and Townsend and Zoe are pleased. The bell rings and Zoe approaches Tristan
inviting him to join the improve club she wants to form. He’d love to however
he doesn’t want to upset Maya. Zoe promises to keep a secret and Tristan is in.
Drew has set up the equipment because he wants to do
another interview and wants to know what Winston and Imogen wants. Imogen wants
new batteries for the cameras…done…Winston wants full freedom to say what he
wants and Drew says if Simpson is cool he is. The staff then want to know what
the interview is about and Drew says the Carnival..or rather the event the
student body wished to throw instead of one. The trio roll their eyes at
whatever it was that Drew showed them and says it made him realize that they
needed to use the money they had to throw an event and give back and so he’s
planning an event over Thanksgiving (meaning timeline wise this is late
September/Early October)
