Zig is
asking Maya if Mo’s made a decision yet and Maya tells him yes he’s in Whisper
Hug. Tori is excited about this…..today Zig’s a rock star and tomorrow is their
four month anniversary. Tori wants to do something special like dressing up and
going out. Her in a new dress and Zig in well anything but the uniform kaki’s
the only guy still wearing them aside from Zig is Damian and he’s broke. Tori
offers to go to the mall and jeans shop with Zig however he declines and ends
up swiping a pair from the lost and found bin.
WHATEVER IT
TAKES
Fiona’s off
the greyhound from New York telling everyone she knows how happy she is to see
her girlfriend….speaking of, Imogen is waiting with a sign.
Zig is
looking on the shelves of his family’s convenience store asking Damian what he
should bring for Tori. Damian comments how he doesn’t get how he can stand
those rich kids. Zig asks his mom if they have any hairclips for him to give to
Tori and Mama Novak asks him in her native Russian when she’ll finally meet
Tori. Its clear Zig is ashamed of his financial situation and shrugs it off as
his mom gives her a bracelet to give her.
Dave is
looking over the script overwhelmed about how many lines he has….Alli informs
him that he is Romeo…..yes Dave who was tone deaf just two seasons ago to the
point his friends auto-tuned him behind his back is the lead in a MUSICAL (and
sings awesome….and ends up winning a singing contest later on in the summer
arch to boot) He says to Alli how he tried out as a distraction for when she
was doing her science and didn’t plan on landing the lead. He wonders who his
Juliette will be and Alli hopes it’s not someone prettier than her. Eli then
approaches with Tristan introducing him to said Juliette.
Fiona and
Imogen can’t believe they only have two classes together and Fiona wonders if
she should shuffle things around to change it. Fiona wishes that she didn’t
start back a week late but Imogen points out how she was helping Laura adjust
to house arrest back in New York. Fiona asks Imogen if she plans on joining
student council and Imogen says she may have other things. It’s then that the
girls round the corner only to find that in her absence, Fiona’s locker is now
smack dab in the center of Ice Hound country. Dallas instantly starts flirting
with her and Fiona instantly replies back how he’s not interested in penis
sorry. She introduces Imogen as her girlfriend and Dallas thinks it’s too good
to be true. He wants them to kiss and Imogen says eew. Fiona says she’ll kiss
Imogen if Dallas kisses a teammate. Imogen then heads to band practice which
Fiona didn’t even know she’d been in the band and Dallas comments how she’s diluting
herself and Imogen doesn’t play for Fiona’s team….Imogen does and she’s
pan-sexual thank you very much.
Dave is
weirded out about acting romantically opposite a male. No offence he’s not
against the gays it’s just awkward. He teasingly tells Tristan how it would be
easier if he looked like Ryan Gossling it was an ice breaker but Tristan took
offence and walked off stage for a granola brake while Dave asks Eli if he’s
trying to make some political statement. Eli is and says how people just don’t
like guys and guys together and what if people got on you and Alli for your
inter racial relationship. Dave gets it and promises to try to make it work.
Eli says follow Tristan’s lead.
Whisper Hug
is practicing. Imogen asks when they’ll have their first gig. Mo informs them
how they only have one song that Adam has yet to learn cause he’s out with the
flu and he wants Zig to learn the guitar parts. Zig can’t he doesn’t have a
guitar but Mo gives him one to use. He says he can’t practice that night because
he’s going out with Tori for their four month. He shows them the bracelet and
everyone rolls their eyes. Maya tells him Tori plans to spend five years’ worth
of savings on him. After the practice Tori asks how practice was and he says
good but he needs to cancel because he has to practice and wonders if they can
wait and celebrate their six month instead. Tori thinks Zig doesn’t care about
her and walks off.
Fiona asks
Marisol who is in charge now that Katie was booted out as president. Marisol
tells her just the two of them….though wouldn’t it make sense for Mo (or Fiona)
to become Marisol’s VP instead of Fiona becoming the new president with Marisol
sticking in her old spot which is what ends up happening by the end of the
season….. anyway Marisol comments how due to the drama at the Hockey rally,
Simpson wants the Ice Hounds featured front and center at the next school event
however they don’t want to have anything to do with council after said rally so
there is an impass. Fiona’s bummed because she wanted this semester to rock.
Marisol asks what about her and Imogen but Fiona’s unsure. They have a totally
different schedule and all the other girls free time is dedicated to some band.
Marisol smiles saying Whisper Hug is Mo’s band so she totally gets being a band
widow however Fiona shouldn’t be so clingy. Fiona then suggests a dance with
Whisper Hug playing it. Marisol is on board so long as Fiona can sweet talk
Dallas into agreeing.
The niners
are supposed to be in groups for a project but Tori is giving Zig the silent
treatment as Maya tells him he should find a new partner cause Tori doesn’t
want to see him right now. Damian asks Zig if Tori found out he’s broke and
kicked him out of her ‘Gossip Girl Wannabe Clique’ Zig says how he can’t give
Tori the fairytale anniversary she wants and so he tells her to just take it….that’s
what he does and he suggests Zig take her on a dine and dash.
It’s play
practice and Dave tells Eli he took his advice and looked up Derek from ‘Happy
Endings’ on YouTube and studied the character leading Dave to act like a
sterptypical gay. Tristan tells him that’s offensive and Eli says forget about
acting gay and tells him to pretend it’s Alli opposite him and you’re in love.
Mo asks Zig
how the date went and Imogen wants to know if his ass was dumped over the cheap
bracelet. Ignoring the seniors, he pulls Maya aside asking her to help out with
Tori. Maya tells him he canceled because he was worried he’d underwhelm her.
Maya calls him an idiot and says she’ll help.
Dave and
Tristan practice once more as Alli joins Eli watching them….who is also watching
from the sidelines is Becky slightly curious how this abomination is going
down.
Fiona
approaches Dallas on student council business proposing the dance. She tells
him how the old regime is gone and she’s now in charge and promises things
won’t suck. Dallas wants to help plan and a dance with Fiona, lesbian or not.
Maya takes
Tori out on a girl’s night which is really an ambush. Zig is there apologizing
for freaking out about skipping the date. He was scared if she knew the real
him she wouldn’t like what she saw. Tori tells him she loves him and asks Maya
to leave. Marisol waits on them as Zig looks at the prices….he tells Tori to
order anything….his treat.
Alli knew
Dave was the perfect Romeo and isn’t jealous about Tristan at all. She heads
out to go to the lab as Becky approaches Dave. She say the performance and
thinks Dave was great and Dave wishes he could have worked with her and she
didn’t leave for creative differences. Becky comments how she didn’t know he
was gay and Dave says he was just acting. Becky gives him a pamphlet incase
hanging out with Tristan turns him gay and he needs to talk to someone.
Tori tells
Zig she has a confession, she bought him an IPad but returned it when he
canceled on her. She promises him she’ll buy him one for their six month and he
says he doesn’t need it. She offers to go Dutch but he says he can cover it and
he tells Tori to meet him outside while he soon follows her out stiffing
Marisol. The couple end up running away from the restaurant before Tori can find
out what he did and they kiss.
Tori wraps
her arms around Zig all excited wishing him a happy four months and one day and
can’t wait to see what happens on their fifth, sixth, year anniversary. Tori
wants to meet Zig’s mom however he gives her the brush off and soon Maya tells
Zig the great news….there is going to be a dance and Whisper Hug is set to
play. The bell rings and the girls head to French as Zig is cornered by Marisol
confronting him on his dine and dash after all Zig’s in her boyfriend’s band
and his girlfriend is on Power Squad so it wasn’t as if he was ripping a
stranger off. He doesn’t want her to tell Tori and Marisol promises to keep her
lips sealed for $50….that’s 35 for the meal and a 15 dollar tip for her
troubles. Zig has twenty four hours before the deals off and she’ll tell Tori
and sick Mo onto him to collect….
I KNOW I CAN
MAKE IT THROUGH
Fiona asks
Dallas how ticket sales are going and he tells them how they’d be good but
better if a pretty girl like her is at the booth with him. She has decoration
to do however Dallas says he’s got some of his team mates to do it. The two of
them are goofing off when Imogen rolls her eyes. She knew that the whole dance
thing was for her so HER band can play and she doesn’t like how Fiona keeps
throwing lavish events even now that she’s broke to impress Imogen. She just
wants to talk cause Fiona just came back from the City with the assumption they’d
be joined at the hip….that Imogen’s a lesbian…that they are a couple….but that’s
not the page Imogen is on. She cares about Fiona but hates the pressure.
Dave’s
looking at the pamphlet Becky gave him ‘in case the musical turns him gay’ Dave
is starting to have second thoughts especially with the promotional posters of
him being all kissy toward Tristan. Dave sees Alli’s birth control pills and
she tells him how she’s ready to have sex with him. She loves him.
Tori’s again
bringing up Zig’s mom and then brings up the dance and how it’s the band’s
first gig. Tori wants a ticket but the table is unmanned and she hopes the
tickets aren’t sold out yet. Zig says he’ll get her in and ends up stealing $50
from the till.
Eli’s directing
a photo shoot for the play posters and Dave and Tristan are posing as Luke and
the hockey players keep calling out GAY. Luke then confronts Eli saying he
needs to keep his gay stuff a bit more private.
There is a
locker search for the missing money and classes are being put on hold until it’s
found. Tori brings up the unmanned booth and that’s probably when it was taken.
The cops check Zig’s locker and don’t find it. Zig takes his guitar case into
the music room and pulls out a pencil case with the money inside. Maya and Tori
see him and he says how he had to take it. He gives the girls the money and
tells them to just say they found it or something and walks out.
The dance
begins and Dallas confronts Fiona saying he promised him a perfect dance and
yet she’s all mopey. Fiona goes on a rant about how great friends she and
Imogen were but then they kissed and now thing are complicated…..is she gay? Bi?
Experimenting? Just a straight girl who is toying with her emotions? Dallas
tells her they need to talk it out and Fiona says she wishes she could just be
kissing. Dallas coaxes her to talk and then says she now owes him two dances.
Zig tells
his mom he’s not going to the dance. He tells her about how he stole money from
the school but he put it back. He owes someone money and he just hates being
poor. His mom gives him the money for
Marisol despite hardly being able to cover rent the previous month because
Novak’s are apparently like Lanasters and always pay their debts.
Eli asks
Dave where his date is. Dave says trying on Jenna’s lipstick in the girl’s room
and he mentions how shocked he is with Eli at a dance. Eli says how Clare is
off doing a co-op thing and so thought he’d go and show his support Adam…also
he wanted to be there to debut the new posters. Dave is taken aback about the
huge poster front and center of him and Tristan all up close and personal. Alli
is all flirty with Dave because they are going to have sex however Dave is just
looking at the Hockey players who are looking at the poster. The players then
begin to tease Dave calling him gay. Dave says if I’m gay then how come I’m
going to have sex tonight with my girlfriend. Alli rolls her eyes and as they
walk off she tells him no you’re not and leaves.
Fiona wants
to talk to Imogen before the band goes on. Imogen nods saying how she wants to
be her girlfriend she just wants to take things slow. Fiona apologies for
pushing and she promises to slow it down and asks if kissing is okay. Imogen
says yes just not in front of the jocks. They kiss as Dallas walks in on them
and is all happy they worked it out.
The band is ready
to play however Zig is MIA. He shows up seconds later giving Marisol her money
and he begins to head to the stage. Tori asks why he paid Marisol and he admits
they dined and dashed. He doesn’t have much money and the store his family owns
is a convenience store in an unsavory part of town and they push it to break
even. He admits the reason he was pushing away wasn’t because he didn’t love
her but it was because he couldn’t shower her with gifts. He goes on stage with
the band and they start to sing.
As they are
playing, Dave takes down the defaced poster. He’s over it….this musical….this
bullying is ruing things with him and Alli. He tells Eli about how they should
be together right now and Eli agrees telling him to go have sex with his
girlfriend and stop obsessing over closed minded asshats….okay so Eli didn’t literally
say that last part.
Dave shows
up at the Bhandari house telling Alli about he shouldn’t pay attention to what
those jerks say he only cares about her and they end up hooking up but they
need to make it fast because her parents will be home in 20. Dave stops because
he left his condoms in the car but Alli assures him she’s on the pill so don’t
worry about it.
Zig shows up
back home after the dance telling her that he’ll help her close the shop for
the night. His friend Damian shows up with Tori who begged him to take her to see
his place. Zig apologizes again for keeping everything secret. He finally ends
up introducing her to his mom….
