There is a fair at the school for the various student
activities to earn money for various endeavors. The Friendship Club has a dunk
tank to earn money to feed starving children and Jimmy keeps knocking Spinner
into the dunk tank to the point that Marco has to step in to stop telling Jimmy
who is all ready to buy another ten dollars’ worth of balls that Spinner is shivering
and wet and has had enough. Jimmy reluctantly stops.
WHATEVER IT TAKES
Spinner offers Paige and Alex a pamphlet on God and the two
girls roll their eyes at him.
Across the fair Manny is getting her weight guessed by Danny
at whatever club booth he and Derek are working on before joining Emma. Emma
says how she wants to do something for her mom as it would be the three year anniversary
of her and Simpson had Simpson not cheated and made out with Miss H. Manny casually suggests they hire male
strippers.
Marco is passing out pamphlets about a ‘safer sex’ seminar.
As Ellie who is also passing them out comments about how she can’t believe
Spinner is brainwashed. She makes a comment about Religion and Marco points out
that he’s a devout Catholic despite their stance on the gay community.
The Friendship Club makes $860 and it’s all thanks to
Spinner. He’s feeling special due to the admiration of his newfound friends
however after the meeting he can’t help but approach an old friend….Marco….who
is sitting all by his lonesome. Asking where the old gang is Marco tells him
that Jimmy and Ellie are always working at some art thing, Paige and Alex have
morphed into Palax and Craig is in Vancouver working on his music. Spinner asks
if Marco wants to hang out like old times and Marco agrees to go to a movie
with him.
Emma and Manny surprise Christine with Caitlin who came to
visit from LA.
Spinner and Marco come out of the theater and are talking
about the bad movie and start to joke around like old times sake before Marco
gets serious. Marco asks why Spinner got involved with the Friendship Club and
Spinner tells him how after everyone black balled him after last year the club
gave him a second chance and that he’s glad Marco finally is giving him a
chance as well.
Caitlin asks Christine what’s up with Simpson and Christine
tells her how she’s not going to sit back and watch him do what he did and that
it’s over. He soon shows up to drop off a gift he ordered for her pre-split.
She looks at the necklace when he leaves telling Caitlin and the girls how it’s
perfect before trashing it.
The next day at school there is an emergency meeting of the
Friendship Club. Linus is fuming that the school is letting Marco hold a safer
sex seminar because by promoting safe sex its promoting promiscuous sex and sex
before marriage in general is a total sin. Linus tells Spinner the club had a
vote and has elected him to talk Marco out of this however Darcy never heard of
said vote and says how Marco has the right to do this.
Caitlin is brainstorming ideas to cheer up Christine and
Manny keeps saying MALE STRIPPER and Caitlin soon caves….they now have a party
to plan.
Spinner does what Linus says and goes to Marco telling him
to not have the seminar because giving out condoms MAKE TEENS HAVE SEX. Marco
rolls his eyes saying ‘That’s Retarded’ and I cringed a bit at the second usage
of that word. Spinner tells Marco what Linus told him to say and Marco comments
that maybe Jimmy and the others were right about how Spinner changed. Spinner
and Linus then go to Miss H who tells them distributing condoms is a good idea
and brings up the outbreak from last season. Linus tells Spinner
everyone are sinners and he plans to protest.
Linus, Spinner and Friendship Club …well the club sans Darcy
go to protest Marco’s seminar and soon Linus and Marco go at it. Linus tells
Marco he’s surprised his church would let a fag in and calls him the F word a
few more times and soon they get into a scuffle. Spinner tells Linus off
however it’s too late it seems and his progress with Marco is now all gone.
At the party for Christine there are some Chippendale
dancers however one looks like a young Mr. Simpson and soon kills the mood.
Spinner is glad Darcy is willing to forgive him for his
actions and she tells him to talk to the old crew. Spinner does apologizing to
Marco for Linus telling him it’s not really him and he wants to be friends.
Christine admits to Caitlin that she still loves Simpson.
Marco approaches Spinner after walking out on him earlier
saying that he guesses Spinner really is lost and silently they reconcile.
